The piece tells me that the composers never lost sight of the fierceness of the Turks - and it took this ferocity to obtain the Osman empire. Several cultures use the sound of that unusual cymbal sound going to battle - I wonder if that was the intent in creating this - it works!!!

I was just listening to "Silence" last night on loop on my Ipod all night sleeping and then in the morning waking going "WoW!"
This is work here is so great because Ive been obcessed with Muslimgauze lately and this is a 100 times better--
Pete is not on this too much playing as I understand, but the whole conceptual approach is very Namlook with the spoken word and the synth pads at the end
