I immediately broke down crying when I heard this song. I learned that my dysfunctional family was caused by my father who cheated on my mom since even before their marriage. My parents don't want to get a divorce because they're worried it will harm me even though my dad still sees that woman. I feel that I'm the cause of my parent's issues because they are together when they don't want to. But now I know I must be brave and just live my life and be strong all on my own.

I was crying so hard because I didn't know what was going to happen to me. I set my iPod to shuffle and this song came on... The lyrics hit me to the core and I've never been the same again. This song gave me the courage to walk away from an emotionally abusive relationship. I never would have done it if it weren't for Idina and the strength her music gives me.

my brother just graduated today and before giving out the diplomas, the choir sang this song. as i listened to the lyrics, i found myself contemplating the next four years when my friends and i are to be split apart..:( i found my self stricken to tears from the lyrics, i did all i could to hide them, but now, everytime i listen to it, i still get teary-eyed..

You are my Idol! I love how you are so down to Earth and How you connect to your audiences. You are THE Elphaba and THE Maureen. You always will be. Your voice range is Ridiculously amazing, and your voice gives me goosebumps. Your lyrics are inspiring, and i only hope you keep doing what you do. I am obsessed with listening to Wicked all day long and singing to the cd. My dream is to meet you, and see you preform on stage.

@thetopsinger101 I met her with my two sisters a few years ago, when she was in wicked in London, because my sister was extremely ill at the time. She was so kind and is increadibly down to earth. It was deffinately worth the amount of letters that I sent.

my sister is a dancer and yesterday was her last recital. Their senior dance song was this and it fits perfectly. When i saw the dance yesterday i cried my eyes out. Thank you for this song.

great song, wrong voice. I saw Wicked front row on opening night Dec 16th 2008 at the PPAC. Donna Vivino played Elphaba and she tore the house down! I really like Idina, but there is sooo much talent out there. <3

A very dear friend of mine ( we are military wives) just lost her husband. My husband is very sick and I've nearly lost him several times in the past 6 months.She sent me this and I cried tears of sadness for her and tears of joy for myself. I still have my husband! I almost agree with JazzTrumpetNL. She has wonderful lyrics, and you have to be deaf to say she can't sing. But this type of music doesn't fully express her range and ability as well as the musical numbers do. Nevetheless, I absolutely love this song. (:

In Oct 2008 I was fired (I was fired from a church for being gay)... I was on the threshold of the church parking lot and the highway in my truck. I was crying so hard because I didn't know what was going to happen to me. I set my iPod to shuffle and this song came on... The lyrics hit me to the core and I've never been the same again. I am a new man and have purpose. Thank you Idina for writing this... It literally saved my life and I will always be grateful...

I think God loves each and everyone of us and you shouldn't be downsized because of your sexuality! You are an inspiration to gays all over the world. @deLOCOSHOW i have the same kinda story! i was done with everything..... the abuse the rape and the pregnancies...... i mwas going to finally end it and i had the radio on b4 i went through with it..... this song came on and i realized everything was going to be okay..... i love idina for this! if any one is reading this...... the world loves you so dont turn your back on it embrace it and keep running with ur life....... this saved me and i look at life as a beautiful gift waiting to be opened!

I think people focus more on Wicked because she didn't have a big singing part in RENT, and so we never really got to hear her AMAZING voice as much as we did in Wicked

this songs is helping me get through a lost of my dog "LUCY." she passed away this morning at 2:35 in her sleep. After 12 wonderful years with me and my family, i will miss her very much. I know she was afraid to say good bye and at the same as BRAVE as ever. I will miss her very much. I love you Lucy!!
