@TheBaffyMan Ha! Of course not! Apples and Oranges, my friend. That is training and this is a video. Videos are at least as much of a sales pitch as they are instructional. Don't you think?
Anyway, this looks like something I want to do. Trying to get myself into this industry. Abatement jobs and slag removal, here I come! :-P
1 Year and a thousand hours of on the job training later and I hope to be a level 2 who travels. Horse before the cart, though. You know. Dreams.
@Lunartrek cool pal i was just being funny im looking at doin this too i want to work offshore i thot about doin window cleaning too is the level 1 difficult?? what do you do for a job??
@TheBaffyMan Well, like I said, I need to put my horse before my cart because I don't have my level 1 yet, but a buddy of mine in the field is putting a word in for me and getting me some information. From what he tells me, it probably depends upon where you live, but window washing, slag removal, and the like will most likely be our first jobs. Levels 1's don't really get to travel or choose the good jobs because they are a dime a dozen. Level 2 is another story.
@TheBaffyMan My understanding is that level 1 is just the hired grunts and it takes luck or someone that likes you to get put on a good job as a general labor hand. Personally, I don't mind at all so long as I get to work on ropes at altitude. I guess we'll both find out, eh?
This needs some kind of soundtrack if there's no audio. No a bad video, but it's just so damn quiet.
