  • im playing this piece for a concerto competition :) wish i could play as well as him

  • A wonderful performance. Grieg, Halvorsen and Christian Sinding is regarded as the most most prominent Norwegian composers. But what about Ole Bull, maybe the greatest violinists of them all? Is he totally forgotten?

  • Hmmmm, never knew Justin Bieber has 2 youtube accounts...........

  • this is what happens when a master is given a beautiful instrument

  • @ltpigeon9302 not to reply to an old comment, but no. This is what happens when a beautiful instrument is given a master.

  • I am very happy that i got to meet him! First he answers my question with a video on facebook, next i'm in Sun Valley Idaho, and he is there to! What a coincidence!!

  • almost as good as Heifetz"s

  • Oh come on, he's not that good. I could do better

  • @lurxtlifeson

    WHAT???? 0_0

    Slay your self

  • @tashymaru sorry... kinda hard to convey sarcasm through text. I didn't think anyone with half a brain would take that statement seriously though lol

  • @lurxtlifeson

Slay me for being a retard

    XD

  • @lurxtlifeson -- I'd like to see you try.

  • best piece of music, I love it, and you never hear it that much anywhere, pity.

  • je-sus christ

  • I thought mastery like this was impossible till I heard him.

  • Now we're talkin'!!!!!!! Jesus... Flawless... He really does put other violinists to shame. :-) I guess I'm a little biased... LOL!

  • Bravooooo great piece, wow wish i could play violin this good

  • like Vivaldis Winter, simply faster.

  • Holy S!!!...

  • 棒透了

    Perfact

  • one's poor hand lol. woe betide you if you have bad technique

  • Astonishing.

  • I don't know who's performance I prefer.. Heifetz has cleaner notes but Perlman's are more loving..

  • It has everything to do with mic placement. Unless you heard Heifetz or Perlman playing this 2 feet in front of you, you have no way to judge smoothness from a recording. Different technologies were used to record each artist.

  • I've heard Perlman play live and Erik Friedman, who was Heifetz's best student.. though he hardly counts as a substitute for the real thing. Sadly I've never heard Heifetz live.

I agree about the placement of the mic's. Oh well.

  • but heifetz was not a good teacher,,,:)

  • I play violin very well. At least I did till I heard this .......

  • same here

    :(

  • crazy!!!May be he is just show his talent.(his magic hand~)

  • buena pero creo q la version de Heifetz es mejor

  • Better? Are you setting the standard?

  • well that sounds like fun. I'd love to see the sheet music for this, I bet it's nuts...I wouldn't know where start practicing it...

  • This piece is 99% all 16th notes...Perlman does an amazing job playing them like 64th notes with that clear tone we all know him for.

  • wow this is amazing! this piece kind of reminds me of perpetum and moblie =)

  • <3 Such a great violinist. Everything is so clear and even! I will never get mine to sound like this!

  • my God...

  • bravo

  • I could listen to him all day. He's fun to watch since he always seems to smile. Even on impossibly hard material. What a gift he has developed.

  • AWESOME!
