are the shaded areas on the wood at 2.40 , the parts to be trimmed down with the chainsaw? i want to try my hand at making some of those thats all , theyre great .
Great art work, I love the flow of the flame like sculpture dancing towards heaven. This art need no word ,it is speaking on it's own. Keep it going make more as large as you want. thank you for showing us.
I have never really liked abstract art. I know it is like "the emperor's new clothes." One is supposed to look at it and receive "a hidden message and meaning." To me this art means that someone is wasting good wood. I could make minatures of these works by simply indiscriminately running a good sharp plane over the edge of a board. I admit that I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer but I just don't appreciate these works.
they seem to all be hollowed out logs with different cut outs and finishes. the one you are looking at is a view from one end, she cut it into spiral strips.
