lol I once caught two of my gerbils - now deceased - climbing at the top of the gerbilarium together just like yours was, except they did it the whole way across. My current gerbil has decided he likes to climb now he's getting older, he literally jumps across from where the top of where he climbs to to the glass ledge on the other side like an acrobatic without a rope. He has no sense of danger!
