they shoulld get someone to make a tarantula farm and a T hawk farm, hook a minicamera into a tarantula hole and get a t hawk from t farm and put it in the hole with the camera in it
So crazy .... that female hawk can even go into the tarantula living place and Make love with them == .If any small size cp like mouse or frog go inside sure terminated by tarantula but that female hawk ......
@JonasBridgous They DO exist in Brazilian jungles National Geographic showed one I believe in the 1950's---guaranteed. Same species, possible regional variation, extremely large wasp, fully extended wingspan the width of a man's hand.
This is one insect you do not want to piss off. The Tarantula Hawk Wasp has the most painful sting of any insect in North America. Many relate the sting to having "liquid fire" poured into your skin.
Thanks. I have no idea what that clicking sound is. I was way out in the middle of nowhere. My camera was on the brink though, so it was probably related to that.

Don't they reside in the tropical rainforests of South America? Wikipedia might indicate so, let alone all over South America...
GmanGregilla 2 years ago
Yes but they can also be found in north america in places like arizona
amartinez97 2 years ago
Indeed.
There has even been video clip posts of a Tarantula Hawk defeating a Tarantula in the state of Oklahoma.

Well, the bullet ant has a more painful sting.

That thing's a lot bigger than I thought it would be!
I doubt I'd ever get that close to a wasp, no matter how beautiful and magnificent a creature it is.
Great shots. :D
