  • take advantage of LDS stores in your area! here in Indy we are lucky we have a HUGE one!

  • See my Video “How to Eat Silver” very short but answers the statement “You can’t eat silver.” @ smithfix Channel (YouTube)

  • be aware that most seeds you can buy for your garden, even "heirlooms" are already contaminated with GMO crop DNA from pollen spreading the last 10 yrs. even mexican varieties of corn are found to be invaded by the GMO DNA. GMO crops make any living thing that consumes them sterile in 3-5 generations.

GMO means far beyond hybrid - it means fish, animal and virus DNA interlaced in to make it grow fast, big, and repell bugs. Check my favs for resources.

  • My family was # 1 in the national raising rabbits, Feed them rabbit pellets. They will get diarea if you don't. It's not that expensive. Goats on the other hand have a wider diet. They love dead dried tumble weed and grass, most weeds are a plus for them.

  • When the shtf it's going to be a free for all, your neighbors will be eating your kid.

I'd suggest a nice deserted island, plenty of fishing and diving equipment and lots of ammo. Learn gardening under proper PH conditions, stock pile medical needs. A firearm(s) is going to be very important for survival, if not for yourself - than for your family, I'd suggest a weapon for each member of the family and a variety of different types for different reasons (Hunting).

    Thanks for the video.

  • You can grow a surprising amount of food indoors including spinach, lettuce and greens. Peppers plants last for years if you take care of them. You polinate peppers and tomatoes with a small paint brush. It's do-able.

  • youtube and google:

    "LDS Cannery" "LDS Cannery Locations"

you can buy 25lb bags of beans (black, pinto, and/or white beans) for $14-$16. I have sprouted these to make sure they were not irradiated. They are not and you can eat for pennies on the dollar and/or stock up if any disaster hits?? You do not have to be a member of the LDS-it is just like going to the store-very convenient-

    Good luck~

**they have other dry bulk foods for sale to: wheat berries, sugar, dry milk, macaroni, flour etc..

  • LDS Cannery-bulk foods (to store) at cost.

  • Why doesn't goat milk have to be pasteurized?

Did Homeland Security make it a crime to store food?

  • @marieatthelake there has been a hoarding law in effect for awhile now-we're not allowed to have more than 30 days worth of food stored. Also in a coupe of states one is not allowed to have rain barrels even bc the govt says they own the rain.

  • @nathuwjohn Are Canada and Mexico like this? Is there a place we can go?

  • @marieatthelakeFear them not therefore:for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul:but rather fear HIM which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing?and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.Fear ye not therefore,ye are of more value than many sparrows.Matthew 10

  • @marieatthelake Hi Marie, I surround myself with like-minded people and have started growing a vegetable fruit garden, rain barrels, gun/ammo (self defense), "LDS Cannery" (25lb bulk foods at cost; beans, macaroni, dry milk, flour etc..), i buy silver whenever we can afford.

According to the Bible, it's all going to be messed up. You may want to look at what the Bible says In a KING JAMES BIBLE.

Also, check out Gerald Celente & Bob Chapman on youtube..?

  • @nathuwjohn Thank you. I follow Bob Chapman and Gerald Celente all the time , now.

  • @marieatthelake alot of the suggestions on this page are good too!

  • Extra candy on help will help too.

  • you want to feed your livestock NON-Genetically Modified feed or you will be consuming it as well. GMO foods are terrible for your liver and kidneys-

  • @nathuwjohn Where can I buy non GMO seeds? I don't trust some of the vendors, but if you can recommend one, that be great.

  • @Winter077 hi, sure..what i do is go into Home Depot or Lowe's every so often and pick up ORGANIC packs of seeds; about $2.79 each (Ferry Morse).

You can also go to horizonherbs(dot)com or localharvest(dot)org

Kale & Chinese cabbage are the most nutritious, lettuce and radish only take 30 days to harvest-get started now bc you need practice (check out lasagna gardens on yt too!). Research "LDS Cannery" bc you can buy/store bulk foods at cost & have PEACE OF MIND!! Eat well for pennies-no joke!

  • @Winter077 Dont forget to set up rain barrels. Your garden prefers this over city water; causing them to grow much faster.

For a 1,000 sq ft roof, an inch of rain will produce 650 gallons of water. We have two hooked up to each other, although we are adding more..

  • I put some tips for hyperinflation on my channel.

Stock up on imported foods you can use for trade llike Coffee, Sugar, Tea, Toilet Paper. None of it will waste. Try to get a garden in the country.

  • Excellent point! None of it will waste, however you can't survive on them, s trade early in the mess.

  • I dont have much so agree, silver is for trade LATER I think when things calm down...in a few years. But it might get so I trade my silver early for food.

  • It's better to have it,and not need it,than to need it,and NOT have it...Good advise on your video.I talked to a friend of mine, that lived through the Great Depression. She siad,if the economy collapsed today, many more would be affected, because most people live in cities, not like in 29,when most people lived in the country.

  • Read Patriots by James Wesley, Rawles. It is about all of this and what could possibly happen. I've already started to prepare

  • A piece of bread will buy a bag of gold

  • Good work

  • Great Video!

The end of America as we know it is near!

    DeathOfTheDollar2010.BlogSpotDotCom

  • Hi People , I wish Americans dont just think in terms of America , but of all Humanity. I think for good or bad , Humanity is going to share the basic values of living - through the trying times ahead of us. I think communities of people have to help eachother , live off the land and live organically - and most importantly , learn to respect Mother Nature ( we worship Goddess Earth here in India). Love to All.

  • how will you buy food when the u.s dollar will not be worth anything thanks to the federal reserve. Think about it.

  • That's my point exactly. Buy food and obtain supplies NOW, right NOW because later might be too late.

  • @NewAmericaNow

    Store food "on the hoof".

Pot Belly Pigs, rabbits, and even goats, in some cities are considered pets, not livestock.

  • @ziggy2sound4u Don't forget chickens! Mrs.NAN

  • @NewAmericaNow

Yeah, I have chickens, however, due to coon and skunks, they are not free range, and cost a whole lot more to feed....

When the dollar collapse happens, I will have to be more self sufficient regarding the chickens.

My pigs eat grass/weeds, as do the goats.

I also throw the pigs table scraps, and when the summer squash and cukes come on, they like them:-)

  • @ziggy2sound4u You can grow your own worms to off set the cost of chicken feed. Mrs.NAN

  • @NewAmericaNow

I am investigating old open pollinated field corn varieties.

I want to grow a good fodder corn, that could be used also as roasting ears, as well as dried, for corn meal, and chicken feed.

My understanding is that the old varieties were of higher protein content than modern hybrids(10%-13%).

    Any suggestions for N.W. Ohio?

A fellow on HomeSteadingToday suggested Bloody Butcher.

  • Speaking of a depression, I spoke with my 92 year old Grandmother the other day about it. She said times were so hard, but they made it ok because they lived in the mountains...however for people who lived in the cities, she said they were starving and living in tents. She said robbery was commonplace. She told me they never would have made it, if it had not been for the food they grew, and the animals they raised.

  • Dehydration is an excellent way to preserve food, and it does not require refrigeration. The lower cost dehydrators work just fine. I strongly suggest in investing in a vacuum sealer to keep the food fresh. Dehydrated food, when properly stored..can last for 30 years. Usually you can get food grade buckets and lids for free from restaurants. These can be used to store pouches of dehydrated food, that's what I do. I'm dehydrating almost all of my garden this year.

  • @EbolaV1rus Don't forget to add oxygen absorbers to your food before you package them, (with Mylar) it will make your food last up to 20-30 years.

  • I was just reading this comment and thought that person will trade you something for that ammo. Load a gun, kill you, take all your stuff, and while he drinks the liquor and smokes the tobacco, he laughs at what a dumb ass you were for giving him ammo he didn't have. Careful who you empower!

  • For those of limited means, buy Silver & Junk Silver. Buy barterable goods like ammunition. .22, .223, 9mm, .45, 12 gauge 00 or 000 buckshot will all be highly barterable. For those comfortable on the fringes, things like hard liquor, wine, and cigarettes will also be highly barterable items, though I don't recommend those items if one wants to stay as safe as possible. Remember, if you have highly valued items, you have to very careful about those distribution unless you can defend them.

  • Thats the thought.

  • You can get plenty of gold when they want to buy your beans or eggs.

  • Just imagine if the world stopped for 6 months and no more wally world-It would be total chaos-Im sure not many ppl have 6 month of can goods stocked up.I sure would like to live in the country when this planned collapes goes down.

  • That is the reason people should prepare because things could get pretty hairy and downright darwinian if you know what I mean.

  • Im growing a garden in my backyard, corn, tomatoes, watemelons, beans, strawberries, carrots, potatoes, lettuce, cilantro, cabbage and eggplants. All in my backyard 5 minutes away from Downtown Cleveland....lol. I know, its crazy to grow all this in the middle of the city, but what the hell, hahaha. I hope everything grows and that I didn't waste my time on it...lol.

Yes bullets are more valuable than gold. On a broken society & a Economic Collapse, who's gonna buy/accept ur gold...lol.

  • That's great and you are not wasting your time or crazy but learning how to do it right. Better to make the mistakes now when we still can go back to the stores and get more. Thanks for the shout and good luck with the garden.

  • Im doing the same, amazing how much you can grow in a small yard,This is my 2nd year, and the first i had so much i gave it away-rows of peppers and tomatoes, potatoes grow really easy.Water melon takes alot of water and takes up alot of room.I need to set up a rain catch water system next-Got cans, bullets and a garden growin-bring it on already-the sooner it comes the sooner we can put these corrupt basturds on trial for abuse of humanity.

  • My dad used to plant many things & I used to help him a lot when I was a kid growing up. But that was a long time ago. Im now doing it on my own. Im lucky my wife & my kid like to work on the garden & help me out.

We used to raise rabbits & stuff too when I was a kid. They're a good choice because they multiply very fast & provide meat. But I live in the city & I can't have animals, like chickens & stuff. I gotta move to the country side as soon as possible. I feel the urgency in the air.

  • @JOSYMOL "I feel the urgency in the air" ME TOO.

  • Don't give your food away, dehydrate it instead for the lean times ahead.

  • Most excellent Video! Post excepted :)

  • Yours are pretty good too

  • Invest in tangible assets.

  • Yes only invest in things you can use.

  • You are right about bullets. I bought gold and silver, and id sell it now to buy bullets if i could find any bullets. bullets will be worth its weight in gold. who knew?

  • I've noticed it too.

  • good advice

  • thanks.

  • Hi everybody. 2nd amendment: NO (you'll never be prepared enough for hungry people), Rabbits: yes, but goats are too noisy, I'd say. Crops can be stolen/contaminated overnight.

Store canned food & liquids and: put on some weight!; within reason but each Kilo overweight means 7000 kcal that'll make you survive for 3-5 days (if you also have enough water and vitamin pills). Food is the only investment you can eat, but overweight is the only investment alternative to food that cannot be stolen.

  • Thank you very much for your lengthy comment. This is what I'm talking about, info that can be discussed and things to add to the mix. I appreciate your response although the more weight you gain the more you need to eat and this will deplete your supplies faster plus you can't run as fast too and you might look good enough to eat by someone else.

  • Wow, good point. Both of them. I will be thinking about that. It will be difficult, though, to find a solution (alternatively to a gun) for a fatso trying to run away fast & not to be eaten, but I'll let you know if I can think of one. :)

  • Good vid but I think he is wrong about gold.

  • Thanks for the comment and as far as the gold thats just my opinion.
