the fire charge is almost exactly like flint and steel except you can only use it once and it is made with blaze powder, coal, and gunpowder, so you need flint and steel just to get a fire charge, so unless you can use a fire charge to make something really awsome, it's the most pointless thing in the game, like cows were before they dropped beef

@MinecraftVideosFY if you mean what does it stand for, then i can answer that. the snapshots follow a basic naming pattern: the first two numbers are to tell what year it was released in, so 12. w stands for week, and the two numbers after that mean which week of the year. so it was released in the fourth week of 2012. the "A" at the end is in case they make a new version in the same week. meaning if they released another snapshot today, it would be "12w04b". i hope i helped

Personally, I think that Firecharges are going to be a pointless new item sense we already have flint and tender, not to mention that it takes more things to make them and you have to put yourself at risk of dying to get 2 of the ingredients. (I know, gunpowder isn't that dangerous to get).
