there going to build a shrine to the greatest baseball team of all time the new york yankees but one thing i have to say is the new yankee stadium atleast they kept the same concept and re named it yankee stadium and did not go with some corporate name they kept the facade on top of the bleachers and the front entrance looks exactly like old yankee stadium i will miss the old but the memory and legacy will be remembered citifield looks nice too

You are correct. Just picture the name where the Padres play: Petco Park! The only other corporate name I could live with for the Mets new park is Met Life Field. At least we can say "Let's go to the Met". I would hate Verizon Park, or Field or almost anything else, unless they drop the corporate naming rights all together. Let's Go Mets in 09!!

Example: Arizona's stadium was once called Bank One Ballpark, but it was bought out by Chase Bank. Now it's called Chase Field.
