I hate to break it to the gay bashers because one should go with what they feel...It's biological. But Micheal Monoroe was married to a lady that died of cancer or something and has since remarried again. One you never judge on looks to decide gayness and who care everyone should be free too love who they love and loves them back.
@PSYLOrocksDETROIT So, they're both gay. If you've got a problem with it, check your own head and review your sexuality. A lot of men in music are gay. Once you realize this and accept it, you won't come off as being juvenile, ignorant, and catty.
SO Fucking Sexy, Like a total fucking sex God... What's the lead singer's name? I was watching VH1 classic and this video came on and I was like Greenday? But then I was so happy because I found another band to like!
@bonjovigirl2011 he was actually killed in a car crash riding in vince neil's (motley crue lead singer)'s sports car, which is tragic but i guess the rock n roll way to go out lol
Hanoi Rocks was a huge influence on just about everything that came out of glam/hair metal. I saw the Taime Down from Faster Pussycat saying exactly that on "That metal show" the other day. L.A. Guns, GN'R, FP you name it. Even The Crue and Cinderella pay tribute.
Hanoi rocks is one of those bands that were just great in their time. they are still amazing songs, it's just sad what happened. one of the bands of the glam era that still played true musick
This live version is a lot better than the album's version. Sometimes i don't know whether Hanoi Rocks perform live so good or their albums so suck. Maybe both. What do you people think?
@ihmisvinski Not just this song. I'm sure you will agree with High School, Underwater World, Million Miles Away... Listen to live versions of these songs make me want to forget the album version of Two Steps from the Move, a very bad produced album i think
I was at the Ritz and also got backstage and met Mike for the second time there - that was right before Razzle got killed, that was devastating! Great times in the 80's with Hanoi!
I wish I would have seen them, in fact I was going to buy my tickets the week Razzle died. I was so excited for that show! I had been listening to all their stuff and was stoked. I was going to show all my fucking metal head friends what rnr was all about. I did see the surviving members in various bands.
The only blatant ripping off GnR did from HR is the fact that for years Izzy Straddlin was a dead-ringer for Andy McCoy,down to the way he held his cigarrette.
The first time I ever heard of GnR was when I was flipping through an old LA zine, and I thought there was a HR interview, then I thought 'WTF? Andy quit and this is his new band?'
GNR ripped HR BIG TIME! You are so right. Just listen to Appetite and you can hear the influence. Guitar solo, arrangements, lyrics, etc...I did like the fact that Izzy carried the Andy flag, I mean Slash stole Razzle's stetson.
Guns and roses rocks and kicks ass, they are(WERE) the best band in the world on their time. Thats just the water, but thats just surface, whats in the underwater world is more. Gnr had their moment just at right time, Hanoi Rocks just "made the bed" for em. People saw "that is something" but didnt really freak out. then came gnr and people was ready to freak out.
aaaaaaaand...The line "Welcome to the Jungle" was also featured in the 1984 song "Underwater World" by the Finnish glam punk band Hanoi Rocks, whom Axl Rose has cited as the biggest influence of Guns N' Roses. The songs have also similar tone and similar use of fifths (power chords).
Your a idiot if you think that! and know nothing about music in general infact leave this video! Izzy was the brains behind the band he wrote most the riff for the band was the main song writer along side Axl, Alot of the riff slash played in gnr were written by izzy
thats probably why the songs for velvet revolver and slash's snakepit were so much better than gnr songs, eh?
youre right, that makes sense now, and i stand corrected.
gnr are still shit, izzy is not too bad, but axl is a big fat pussywad, and has his own head so far up his ass, he cant even ask others to keep kissing it for him
VR are crap and there riffs are average slash is nothing without someone like izzy to write his riffs for him his image sold him if it wasnt for that he'd be nothing.
every one is influeced by some another band. there isn't band which aint influenced by some else. and if you say that gnr is better, cos they were more popularity, you are fking asshole, have you ever think about that hanoi rocks were from finland, and in the 80's americans didnt even known that there is that kind of place., and if gnr is influenced by hanoi rocks why think that hanoi sucks. hanoi rocks is lot of better than gnr, hanoi rocks influenced the whole 80's glam bands so fuck off

well, hanoi and motley were the bands who paved the way in the 80's for posers and fakers like g'n'r and poison, but they were all 70's-glam/punk influenced.
i might say though, that without hanoi and motley, there wouldnt have been an 80's scene. or not one like this, which was AWESOME

Welcome to the jungle, paradise city, Mr. brownstone. These are not pop-rock ballads and they are some of their greatest hits. You are a dumbass with a skinny weiner. get michael monroe's dick out of your mouth.
but the song that made them mainstream popular was "sweet child", which was an awful song, and the paradise city video was just a rip-off of the motley crue home sweet home video, which was also the reason sweet child was even written. motley crue started the glam rock ballad craze with that song, and gnr just folowed suit.
as they did with their look, and their party hard image. all copied from crue and hanoi.
I really don't care what you have to say. It's all a matter of personal opinion. Don't get me wrong, Hanoi Rocks kicks ass, I just think GnR is better. And implying that Razzle's death was the folly of the band is just foolish. I'm sure it struck a blow in his bandmates, but if they continued with another drummer they probably would have made it. No! You know, Hanoi Rocks was very close to get a world wide famous. The next step would have been stadions.
Hanoi would have become to be one of biggest bands EVER, it would have been bigger than Rolling Stones has ever been. AND HERE COMES THE POINT:
When Razzle died, died Hanoi Rocks too. Year was -85 when the most potential band was history. And 2 years later, there comes GUNS N ROSES.
And they got the price from the work of HANOI ROCKS.
Watch live Ritz and tell me WERENT HANOI ROCKS the one
