  • I hate to break it to the gay bashers because one should go with what they feel...It's biological. But Micheal Monoroe was married to a lady that died of cancer or something and has since remarried again. One you never judge on looks to decide gayness and who care everyone should be free too love who they love and loves them back.

  • I would not be surprised if one day they found out that michael monroe and david lee roth were actually brothers or something :))

  • LOVE THE 80'S----------LILLIAN AXE

  • Haha, I Iike those colorful things on his hands :D You rock Michael, you make me proud to be a Finn :)

  • Is there any way to get this concert on disc? They sound so much better live - especially on the Million Miles Away performance (of this concert).

  • mick jagger rip off , they are both gay , walikn round ,,, hopeing to get poked in the pooper

  • @PSYLOrocksDETROIT So, they're both gay. If you've got a problem with it, check your own head and review your sexuality. A lot of men in music are gay. Once you realize this and accept it, you won't come off as being juvenile, ignorant, and catty.

  • SO Fucking Sexy, Like a total fucking sex God... What's the lead singer's name? I was watching VH1 classic and this video came on and I was like Greenday? But then I was so happy because I found another band to like!

  • @GothHikDarkAnGel Michael Monroe ;) thats his name.

  • @tigerfox18 Thanks :)

  • onko Maikki ollu noinki nuori joskus ? ='D

  • Comment removed

  • I thought in Green Day, but this sounds cool too !

  • what happen to razzle? I'm new to their music , but not the name cause my sister had few pics in her old magazine's

  • @bonjovigirl2011 he was actually killed in a car crash riding in vince neil's (motley crue lead singer)'s sports car, which is tragic but i guess the rock n roll way to go out lol

  • @heavymetal1110 live fast , die fast lol

  • Michael Monroe had the coolest hair styles I've ever seen.

  • Great music for this era

  • Oops, The Taime Down? ...sorry bout the typo.

  • Hanoi Rocks was a huge influence on just about everything that came out of glam/hair metal. I saw the Taime Down from Faster Pussycat saying exactly that on "That metal show" the other day. L.A. Guns, GN'R, FP you name it. Even The Crue and Cinderella pay tribute.

  • The glam rock movement was huge in LA in the 80s. Odd how Hanoi Rocks rocked while most LA hair band music did not rock.

  • whenever one of the kids I teach bass to comes up asking for me to teach 'em blvd of broken dreams I hope they mean this one....they never.....

  • we all have to thank the ny dolls if it wasnt for them there woulndt have been hanoi!!

  • @nancivenuk09 yeah and rolling stones the stooges etc..

  • Who's on guitar, don't tell me it's....

  • @wanawjecy Andy McCoy & Nasty Suicide

  • isn't that TORY CRIMES on the drums (Terry Chimes, formerly of the Clash?)

  • @dballify yes he is :D

  • Yeah it is........ One of the guys they influenced killed their real drummer while under the influence, how ironic!

  • @dballify Yeah, he filled in a bit after Razzle died before they disbanded from what I understand. Sounded like a good fit to me.

  • needs more cowbell

  • Hanoi rocks is one of those bands that were just great in their time. they are still amazing songs, it's just sad what happened. one of the bands of the glam era that still played true musick

  • That is so true.

  • Hey Yeah! It's Slash!! (...I'm kidding...don't reply with stupid stuff...)

  • @jroach96 OMG OMG OMG IT"S NOT SLASH OMG

  • So fucking amazingly AMAZING. I love them, they were the best.

  • mike is beautiful : )

  • This live version is a lot better than the album's version. Sometimes i don't know whether Hanoi Rocks perform live so good or their albums so suck. Maybe both. What do you people think?

  • @squirtkiller i dont think their album versions suck so much.. but i agree with this song..

  • @ihmisvinski Not just this song. I'm sure you will agree with High School, Underwater World, Million Miles Away... Listen to live versions of these songs make me want to forget the album version of Two Steps from the Move, a very bad produced album i think

  • How fantastic does Mike look in this video..one day every man will look this good...

  • I was at the Ritz and also got backstage and met Mike for the second time there - that was right before Razzle got killed, that was devastating! Great times in the 80's with Hanoi!

  • I wish I would have seen them, in fact I was going to buy my tickets the week Razzle died. I was so excited for that show! I had been listening to all their stuff and was stoked. I was going to show all my fucking metal head friends what rnr was all about. I did see the surviving members in various bands.

  • The only blatant ripping off GnR did from HR is the fact that for years Izzy Straddlin was a dead-ringer for Andy McCoy,down to the way he held his cigarrette.

The first time I ever heard of GnR was when I was flipping through an old LA zine, and I thought there was a HR interview, then I thought 'WTF? Andy quit and this is his new band?'

  • GNR ripped HR BIG TIME! You are so right. Just listen to Appetite and you can hear the influence. Guitar solo, arrangements, lyrics, etc...I did like the fact that Izzy carried the Andy flag, I mean Slash stole Razzle's stetson.

  • Kanakka, I agree.

  • Sadly heavy drug abuse also played a role in their demise.

  • I see, I see.

Guns and roses rocks and kicks ass, they are(WERE) the best band in the world on their time. Thats just the water, but thats just surface, whats in the underwater world is more. Gnr had their moment just at right time, Hanoi Rocks just "made the bed" for em. People saw "that is something" but didnt really freak out. then came gnr and people was ready to freak out.

    You know what I mean?

  • i love the part at 2:54 :)

    Michael looks so fit <3

    :D

  • everyone should know that it is terry chimes!! :D

  • 24 years ago. i wasnt even born. God damn i love Hanoi Rocks

  • No it's Terry Chimes. Razzle died in december 1984.

  • is that razzle on drums?

it dont not neven look like im

  • Its not Razzle. Razzle was already dead. I dunno who he is

  • Yeah, Terry it is.

  • New info. Its Terry Chimes. If im wrong please someone tell me : D

  • No, he was killed before this concert.

  • yeah in Dec 1984..In Vince neils Pantera

  • aaaaaaaand...The line "Welcome to the Jungle" was also featured in the 1984 song "Underwater World" by the Finnish glam punk band Hanoi Rocks, whom Axl Rose has cited as the biggest influence of Guns N' Roses. The songs have also similar tone and similar use of fifths (power chords).

  • i have readed somewhere that izzy was important song writer for gnr so, i dont really believe that slash is most talented ?? :D

  • sorry who wrote gnr songs not sogs :D

  • i thought they all contributed?

but then i aint owned appetite for ages, so i havent seen the sleeve for a while.

i thought they were written mostly as a band?

  • oh, and it seems youre the one with axl's puny weeny in your mouth.

he doesnt give shit one for his fans either.

slash was the only talented member of teh band, and always will be.

buckethead die, along with axl and those other pussies

  • who wrote gnr sogs :D i remeb that it was izzy, not sure??

  • Your a idiot if you think that! and know nothing about music in general infact leave this video! Izzy was the brains behind the band he wrote most the riff for the band was the main song writer along side Axl, Alot of the riff slash played in gnr were written by izzy

  • thats probably why the songs for velvet revolver and slash's snakepit were so much better than gnr songs, eh?

youre right, that makes sense now, and i stand corrected.

gnr are still shit, izzy is not too bad, but axl is a big fat pussywad, and has his own head so far up his ass, he cant even ask others to keep kissing it for him

  • VR are crap and there riffs are average slash is nothing without someone like izzy to write his riffs for him his image sold him if it wasnt for that he'd be nothing.

  • yeah i said earlier that i think that it was izzy who wrote gnr songs, cos someone said that it was slash who most talented, which is pure shit

  • appetite was an awesome album, but most rock fans arent into gnr after that album. pop-rock posers are into them, and kids. but thats about it really

  • I disagree

  • so your wrong :P

  • No im not im know everything.

  • Oi Hanoit on parhaita!<3

I'm proud of that they're from Finland! :D

Makke is so handsome, and those hair..<3

  • i mean that all 80' s¨hair bands are influenced by hanoi rocks

  • every one is influeced by some another band. there isn't band which aint influenced by some else. and if you say that gnr is better, cos they were more popularity, you are fking asshole, have you ever think about that hanoi rocks were from finland, and in the 80's americans didnt even known that there is that kind of place., and if gnr is influenced by hanoi rocks why think that hanoi sucks. hanoi rocks is lot of better than gnr, hanoi rocks influenced the whole 80's glam bands so fuck off

  • does anyone look more 80s hair metal than the lead singer? lol

  • Guns and Roses werent copying HANIO

GUNs were really into JOHNNY THUNDERS and the HEARTBREAKERS & NY DOLLS but its really THE NEW YORK DOLLS that influanced HANIO at least SAMI YAFFA who was a NY DOLL fan since a kid & I believe it made him WANT to be a musician & NOW he is a NY DOLL there bass player it is SO wild 2 c SAMI all early KEITH RICHARDS looking and glammed up

but this is a NY DOLL influanced band BUT the DOLLS were more a blues rock band and more so than ever now

  • well, hanoi and motley were the bands who paved the way in the 80's for posers and fakers like g'n'r and poison, but they were all 70's-glam/punk influenced.

i might say though, that without hanoi and motley, there wouldnt have been an 80's scene. or not one like this, which was AWESOME

  • Guns N' Roses weren't fake you assclown. However, Poison is as fake as it gets

  • But Hanoi had major influence on GNR. GNR said that without Hanoi there wouldn't be GNR...

  • So true

  • @Juho85 oh yessssss,in The Recycler,

in the early 80s, Slash found an ad by Izzy and Axl that read, looking for a guitarist influenced by aerosmith and hanoi rocks.

    axl was bananaz about hanoi

  • @Juho85 all who doubt should read slash's book in there he says that axl is really hes own version of michael monroe xD

  • my comment didnt post...fuck

  • Green Day

You're not rockers, or even punks, theives don't steel from thieves man, we share, and buy our own records, it's called style college people. Get one...they're nice.

  • U guys rock, don't let 'em steal the cause! Cos' it's a Boulevard Of Broken Dreams.

Mike Monroe is The Flashing Psycadelic Kid, Andy McCoy is cosmic Ted, I'm The Sonic Silver Angel, it's a thing from back then, in Wardour Street. By the power vested in me, you are hereby Rock Heaven Vix(en).

  • vlxrock

What u said, u get it! No glam-metal, no such thing, glam-rock, period. As in rock 'n roll.

Shiit, Glam-metal and glam-rock seems to be the same thing in their eyes, u know the difference, thank hope for u man! Gettin' lonely out here.

Bob Ezrin would never have produced a none-rocking band. Axl Rose bought the rights to distribute all the old albums in the U.S man, and did. Noone knows of this mans greatness. Check out the Dead, Jail, Or Rock 'n Roll video with 'em both.

  • Great sound quality. I can't believe this is a live recording.

  • hanoi rocks post punk, glam no glam metal

  • You know - this is just more proof that most - if not all of - the "Glam-Metal"-poseur/losers of the 80's were all f*ckin' hacks. These guys sound a billion times better than G n'R, L.A. Guns, Jetboy, Poison or any of the other bands that were playing in L.A. back then, and I know, because I remember - I was there when they were playing around town. They should watch these videos of this amazing and influential band that wrote the book and started a million fires.

  • guns rule but i love hanoi so fuck u

  • Mikä on ku ei voi Suomea puhua?

  • samat sanat ei näitä tiiä kuka on mistäki ni edes suurinpiirtein ymmärtää jotaki

  • ai mitä ei ymmärrä?

  • such a shame that it was bands like these that g'n'r copied then, isnt it?

and they didnt do it nearly as good.

just because they were more popular doesnt make them better. by that definition, britney spears is better than both

  • GnR did not copy Hanoi Rocks and are indeed more talented, which made them better, which made them more popular

  • they were popular because of pop-rock ballads, nothing more

  • Welcome to the jungle, paradise city, Mr. brownstone. These are not pop-rock ballads and they are some of their greatest hits. You are a dumbass with a skinny weiner. get michael monroe's dick out of your mouth.

  • but the song that made them mainstream popular was "sweet child", which was an awful song, and the paradise city video was just a rip-off of the motley crue home sweet home video, which was also the reason sweet child was even written. motley crue started the glam rock ballad craze with that song, and gnr just folowed suit.

as they did with their look, and their party hard image. all copied from crue and hanoi.

not one original thing in that band.

  • No! You know, Hanoi Rocks was very close to get a world wide famous. The next step would have been stadions.

Hanoi would have become to be one of biggest bands EVER, it would have been bigger than Rolling Stones has ever been. AND HERE COMES THE POINT:

When Razzle died, died Hanoi Rocks too. Year was -85 when the most potential band was history. And 2 years later, there comes GUNS N ROSES.

And they got the price from the work of HANOI ROCKS.

Watch live Ritz and tell me WERENT HANOI ROCKS the one

  • I really don't care what you have to say. It's all a matter of personal opinion. Don't get me wrong, Hanoi Rocks kicks ass, I just think GnR is better. And implying that Razzle's death was the folly of the band is just foolish. I'm sure it struck a blow in his bandmates, but if they continued with another drummer they probably would have made it. That even be what Razzle would have wanted. I'm also sure that Hanoi Rocks influence GnR, but everyone saying that GnR stole from them are ignoramuses.

  • It the NY Dolls, Hanoi Rocks and GnR.

  • i could b wrong but i think this was the last time hanoi played live until mike an andy got back 2gether a few years ago an reformed hanoi

  • Yep you're right

  • No there was one more short tour after this, by which time Sam had left and was replaced on the bass by Rene Berg

  • i completly forgot about rene berg(an i had his solo album !!)anyway although its a shame the remainin members are unlikely 2 get back 2gether at least mike an andy r still flyin the hanoi flag loud an proud !!!!

  • NASTY <3

  • Good eye razzlefan4life. That drummer is Terry Chimes, the drummer on The Clash's first album.

  • is that the drummer from The Clash?
