  • overgrown asses.

  • You don't like it but you put it on youtube? i like it.

  • "Imogene, what's the matter, you look like an idiot"- the best line from this whole terribly funny Christmas special

  • Ethel to Imogene: Imogene, what's that matter, you look like an idiot. LOL, this is Sesame Street Christmas in the Twilight Zone.

  • I didn't know Aunt Edna from Vacation was in this lol

  • I'm just glad that sarah had fun and they cosentrated on the real spirit of christmas.don't bug him maria!

  • Though the special itself gradually gets worse, Oscar's reactions here are priceless:

"This is Oscar speaking, arrest your singing"

"Now, this is your last chance, give up your singing"

    *laughs*

    Poor Oscar. XD

  • ETHEL MERMAN! Yesss!

  • I remember the song Leslie sings from the Candice Bergen episode of "The Muppet Show"...that one was better, though.

  • How peaceful Christmas is without Elmo on Sesame Street... He's such a loud baby!!!!

  • Licking the icicng off of the cookies, huh? It looks like his Dad is about to put him in a headlock!

  • DAMN THAT KID IS EVIL!! crismas is licking all the frosting off a cookie and putting it back before anyone see you?! damn! just damn!

  • I Happen to know that Carroll spinney is originally from Waltham, MA. I could pick that Bostonian accent out in a crowd!

  • This just gets worse as it goes along, doesn't it? The set looks cool with the snow; that's about it. Well, that and Ethel Merman telling Imogene Coca that she looks like an idiot.

  • Imogene Coca wouldn't do anything this brilliant again until she played the bag lady in EBN-OZN's "Bag Lady" video.

  • Oh, okay. Well, that was close.

  • Did Ethel say an idiot on Sesame Street? I'm shocked.

  • Keep in mind, this was not shown on PBS.

  • Indeed, this was shown on the Tiffany network, CBS, and it wasn't even produced by CTW. It was produced by Bob Banner Associates.

  • So who actually owns this, then? Bob Banner Associates? And if they no longer exist, then CBS?

  • Bob Banner Associates, I guess.

  • Ethel wasn't the sweetest of people, so I'm not at all shocked. That rehearsal scene in "Valley of the Dolls" when the big star cuts the one song of the new girl cuz the girl is "too good", was based on what Ethel did during rehearsals of a show.
