those people who stopped the carriage are really courageous. My boss once had an accident at one of those competitions. His horse spooked, he and his codriver were thrown of the carriage and the horse ran into a wall and broke its hip. It survived though and can be ridden again but not driven anymore.
it's called a hazard. the driver has to navigate the horses through that area to complete the obstacle. i don't know too much about combined driving other than that.

I couldn't help but laugh the horses thought they were bad when the people fell off! They were like, " WTF are we doing wrong? Why is everyone mad at us, why is our carriage chasing us! AHHH! D: !!!" lol good thing the horses were okay!

The guy on the back was leaning, so this was just an accident, they didn't mean to tip over. I personally think it's better if they made noise than none at all. I'm sure if someother people were there they would have made just as much sound.

whoa would be the command to stop! that would be why they are screaming, horses are not afraid of the human voice loud or soft it is a form of communication, trust me ive seen enough loud mouthed motherfuckers on top of a horse to know they dont give a shit if you yell. whats scaring them is the fact that they arent home, they cant see, and are being chased by a loud wooden box that can turn from side to side (they kindof arent used to that sort of thing)

People have to realize these are accidents. When something like this happens, you don't always think quick enough and act differently than you thought you would. Sure the men screamed, but they were just trying to stop the horses. For those who believe the people don't know anything about horses, I'd like to see you in that situation. I'm sure you would do the same thing, despite of what you say.

Wow...for these people to be RUNNING at them and yelling sharply...you'd think they were trying to encourage the runaway.
Simple common horse knowledge - when you make sharp yelling sounds at a horse...it usually means go faster.
