  • best thing you can do is stay out of the mud and you won't have that problem. When you go mudding you tear things up most of the time its your own car. Just stay out of the mud and you will not have that problem. Or if you had to go in the mud change to solid front axle a lot better.

  • solid axle swap will work wonders

  • I have a 01 z71, i also bustaed driver side cv axle due to a 3" leveling kit having em in a bind. I had a conversion solid front axle, it is strong as hell and will hold up to almost anything, only thing is it will not ride as good. CV axles are good for mild offroad and for riding on the road, just need to turn the torsion keys down so it wont keep happening.

  • SAS... what u need..

  • does anyone know what the name of them rimes are that are on the chevy?

  • @KBryant24CP3 They're Moto Metal rims I have the same exact ones wrapped in KM2's

  • I love Z71, but this one I'd all bark-no bite. Need to put more science and thought into it if you actually plan on mud riddin in it vs just for looks.

  • thats what you get when you throw 37s on a stock ratio...put some 4.56 or 4.88s on there and you wouldnt have that problem. you cant just throw a lift and tires on somthing tards.

  • my 99 z71 chirps to WTF is it

  • both of those are nice trucks. i like my chevys but that body style ford was a hell of a truck

  • What kind of rims do u have on the z71?

  • VERY nice truck man, what brand/ type tires do you have? look like they have hela tread.

  • heard you drive shaft making a noise, mine does the same, what is that

  • heard you drive shaft making a noise, mine does the same, what is that ???

  • @mudog35 That click click click is the cv axles at the max angle and about to come out of socket. I shouldnt have had the keys turned up so far. Towards the end of the vid i put the truck into 4wd and shortly after the cv axles broke due to too much deflection and torque applied and also shattered front diff. Answer was to turn keys back down some and get some slidding cv axles to help keep deflection down.

  • @smokendatires my universal joints went out at 130,000 miles. anyone have that happen to them?

  • no that noise you drive shaft or something make a low tone thump noise....it's not cv i know that sound like it is your rear drive shaft where if fits into the transmission, you know what i am talking about ?

  • Shit sounds sick!

  • it has a 6 inch suspension lift, 3 inch body lift , and 37/12.50/18 tires

  • it is a 2001

  • what year is the chevy? please

  • hey man whats the lift specs? 6" and 3" body?

  • Sick truck! I live in SC also! Do you got the 6 inch RC lift with a 3 inch body lift?

  • @XxClemsonTigersXx

    yep that is it

  • @smokendatires Where in SC do you live at?

  • you proble shorted out the the 4wd actuater

  • just go get you some cv axles from autozone with a lifetime warrenty and get lower gears for the front end and for the transfer case see if you can find a NP 205 transfer case and swap it out with yours

  • what truck does a np 205 come in.

  • @smokendatires i had one in my 93 chevy Z71 but they where in a lot of the oldier moddle chevy's so you can get from salvage yards for cheap

  • @smokendatires Your getting some incorrect info here. By you having a Z71 I would bet you have a NP246 autotrac case. Easiest thing would be to swap to a NP241. Your case and a np241 has 2.72:1 while a np205 only has 1.96:1 thus loosing crawl ratio Though a 205 is a very strong gear driven case. And if you do gears you must do front and rear or your Tcase will not be very happy.

  • the guy in the chevy doesnt know how to drive in mud bein a showoff

  • @Gameconsoleman a showoff?

  • i want one

  • sliding cv shafts

  • What are you running for an exhaust? Sounds like long tubes 3" going into a 4" straight pipe!

  • just a flow master with cats removed

  • solid axle it!!

  • Love the chevy

  • that shit is a fucking beast bro the good thing bout tha chevy is u break any parts on tht 4wheel drive they still push through any mudhole and do it well badass truck let me kno when u wana sell it haha

  • What size lift do you have? and what kind of tires? very nice video...

  • 6 inch suspension lift 3 inch body lift 37/12.50/18 tires

  • @smokendatires what kind of tires?

  • Both trucks are nice but that Chevy's a fucking beast! Nice video. And good luck fixing her.

  • Lockers, lower gears and programming it is all I would really do

  • that ford and chevy are both sick

  • put either 4:56 r 4:88 gears.

  • bad ass chevy man

  • That chevy has some pretty good flex

  • i have a truck alot like yours watch my video throtle controle is the key to not breaking things you can upgrade your cv axles by useing the ones out of a 2500 or 3500 but then your weak link will be your diff and a cv axle is alot cheaper than a new front diff but the best and smartest fix would be a sas then you would not have to worry about the front end breaking and the thing with your transfer case is strange never really hear of them breaking
