When you start raising your kids in a particular way (shouting at them constantly, not disciplining them correctly) then it's hard for the children to break this pattern as it's their "routine". So the rebuilding process can take years. It's a long road but they are capable of turning round. They just need the right mental attitude and education for a decent job. The rest will then follow.
