Phenom 920 is a quad core (X4) and yes you WILL get better fps if your video card is good like the video makers 4890.

Awesome. I used to have a P4 3ghz chip, soon to upgrade to the Phen. II x3 720. Not sure how high I'll overclock. I only have an EVGA Geforce 9800GT 'Akimbo' ver, slightly overclocked, and 4 1g sticks of DDR2 667 mem. Hopefully with the cpu I can get 30+fps.. right now even on -low- settings I'm lucky to see 10-12fps! XD

what resolution ??? and if say Very High ... did you mean Highest ??? I have AMD Phenom II x4 , Ati Sapphire Vapor-X HD 4890 1GB, 4GB Patriot Extereme Performance 1333Mhz .... get Everything on Highest..... (only view distance on 43) Resolution on 1920x1080..... I get 45~53 Fps.. (50 Fps pretty much all the time ) Sorry for my bad English....... AMD+ATI FOR LIFE !!!!

@IBlueNinjaI I totally agree... and yes intel is at the moment better but for much less money you can get amd processor with almost same performance so for now I will stick with my phenom 2 x4 955 and I am planning to get AMD Phenom™ II X6 Processor 1100T 3.3 GHz... MONSTER :D

and one more thing I had amd and intel and they performed great for me so I can say buy what you like both are great :)

i have phenom x3 8650 and sapphire radeon 4890 vapor-x and 4 gb ram, but i can't get this good performance 1680x1050 high, not max settings, about 20 fps

can i get at least half of this performance with my e7300 @3Ghz and a xfx Hd 4870 (which am going to get next month) and 4gb ram @ 800mhz and the resolution is 1680X1020.

i currently have a msi 9400gt 1gb 2gb system ram and i play this game on 800x600 and get 25fps to 50fps on medium and shadows off.

it depends on your budget and on waht you ll do with yout pc, if you are going to play with your new pc you should buy a better vga ;) (like HD4870 or GTX260 216sp)

You will max it ou with no problems thanx to yout XD 955 cpu, your good amount of ram and the excellent video card, you will probably get about 50fps i think.

your specs are better than the ones in this video, so obviously you will run good fps
