I like how Billie Holiday and Dinah Washington helped another black woman out. It seems back in those days, black women were more helpful to each other. I think that is rare today to find black women who will be helpful to one another. Most today would be like don't sing my song.

The singers today are fake, lack individual style, and won't have the longevity of a Lena Horne. i am 24 and have been obsessed with ppl like Lena Horne and Josephine Baker and Dorothy Dandridge since i was younger. I think these type of women were and are pioneers for not just black ppl but for women in a time when it wasnt just about looks u actually had to showcase some talent. I also like Lena cus she reminds me of my late Grandmother.
