ok, the accident and all of that is just a story that dallas came up with, nothing of that happened (thats why on "its dangerous business" they say its on porpose, if not they would be saying dallas murdered his gf and you guys know dallas and spencer are friends), i do think the song is like a 2nd part for cries, i have to say i love how dallas was with the audience, on here he caress a guy's head, on other he holds a guy (not on a gay way though), he was so much better and METAL!
@screamorockstar i did, it is nice, perhaps a little to loud for the mic, it did sound really heavy, perhaps a little too much for the song (i mean you are a little more screaming than what the song needs, perhaps you understand what i mean, its great though)you should, make a cries of the past cover, you would kick ass on that one...
@carcassgrindcorpsesc thanks and thats a roc band mic i used by the way :D imagine if it was a real mic so thats why it might seem i was too loud cause i mean what im using is basically a prop so i needed to go loud i mean i dont want to whisper the song, and ill try doing that one hopefully pretty soon and thanks for watching it=)
its really not, when i hear spencing all i hear is darkness, no emotion just darkness
(not in a demonic sort of way) but when dallas screams, the way he screams and the music give it emotion, unlike spencer which just gives the song sort of a monotone emotion.
Dude EVERY SONG ON "the changing of times" AND "Cries of the past" are ABOUT that accident, and how he gave it to the LORD because he knows his love at the time is in heaven.. And he is married with as child...and that's the girlfriend he met in 2002..!! 2 years after the accident..when he was STILL in Underoath
This song is about former UnderOath vocalist Dallas Taylor dealing with the death of his girlfriend, and how she died before he got the chance to really grow up. He grew into man after her death and became someone he believes she would be proud of. He has faith he'll see her again one day in heaven, and says he'll be coming home, but he'll be late
@182DADO182 NOOO HIS GF IS STILL ALIVE! THERE MARRIED NOW. He has a wifes name is Allison. They have a son, Corgan Taliaferro Taylor, who was born January 29, 2006
@kosmodisks this is not about his gf.. and she did not die.. they just broke up on and off and got back together. this songs about there problems and what not.
@underOATHisCHRIST No one died. There is an interview with dallas on youtube. Just search "Dallas Taylor interview" It is long but he tells how he later married her. Stop spreading misinformation, please.
@kosmodisks hey cool stroy bro. Too bad you have no idea what this song is about. He wrote this when His girlfirend left him... Its a breakup song. Thanks for the well thought out lie tho.
If anyone is seriously arguing that Underoath was better in the "Dallas" days, this is just silly. Spencer's vocals are among the best in the business today. Aaron has improved immensely. And the sound as a whole as become increasingly tight and well-constructed.
Their albums have improved with each succeeding one.
I feel that Dallas was like a proper frontman to the band, that led them and gave the band meaning, but with Spencer, especially, Lost in the Sound, Spencer is just there to scream and that is all.
This song reminds me of my mum. She died in a car accident, and it's just so beautifully written. Written exactly the way I was feeling when I found out about the accident.
to is most definately music. listen to the guitar riffs. to the drums. there is music. if this wasn't music then how the hell are cd's of bands like this flying off the shelves? took me ages to find the album that this song came off of in a store. there was piles of black sabbath tho. piles. it may be a shame to you what is now considered as music, but if you pulled your head out of your ass and realized that hendrix is dead, bonham is dead too. this type of music can't exactly come back can it?
i never said that the doors, hendrix, led zeppelin or pink floyd are, in any way worse. it's just another musical style. pisses me off when people who have no clue about a band decide to jump in and rip on them. underoath just happens to be my favourite band. doesn't mean that's all i listen to. queen is one of the best bands of the last 50 years. the beatles, april wine. and if rap/hip hop is classified as music and there is no instruments being played at the live shows, then the stuff i listen
they were much heavier before this, like on cries of the past and act of depression, but yepp it's with dallas. the changing of times, cries of the past, and act of depression are the only underOATH i really like much. they're only chasing safety, define the great line, and lost in the sound of separation just aren't as good. the only original member these days is the drummer, who plays nothing like he used to. he was awesome back in the day.
have you ever heard Underoath's LYRICS? they mean something; they all tell a different story. these people are all talented. id like to see YOU try to scream with passion like that, and id like to see YOU play drums/guitar/sing like aaron gillespie can. these guys are amazing, plain and simple. and i admire them greatly.
not music my ass. what the hell do you listen to? rap? now there is smoething called music that is clearly not. "smack a bitch, shoot people, smoke drugs" yeah you are so cool 50 cent. suck a dick.
no, i listen to real musicians like the beatles and pink floyd and hendrix and the doors and stuff.
see, i just dont see how people consider a bunch of guys strumming rythmless chords while someone yells some melodyless lyrics that you cant even deptict what they're saying... music.
rythymless is how it's spelt. also it's not "melodyness" it's "melodic" also "depict"
not "deptict" although i think the word you are looking for there would be decifer. and after listening to this stuff for a bit, it's not too hard to pick up what they're saying. or is that too large of a concept for your small brain to wrap itself around?
try something like the doors, jimi hendrix, pink floyd, the rolling stones, the beatles, led zeppelin... just to name a few.
it's sad how these artists and others put real, true talent into their work and made great music... and now sad lonely people are calling bands like underoath good musicians.
k i dont know how old u are but why do u look up bands u absolutely hate, thats fuckin stupid, it makes no sense, get a life u immature fuck...and btw the beatles suck balls that hang to the floor, rush beats all the bands u mentioned oh yeah and of course underoath
wow u guys sound like 2 kids fighting over on whos dad his better...if u can't respect both spencer and dallas then like run into a knife or something...they're both amazing..like come on....grow up
aaron's the only original member of the band left. if you watch the interviews with dallas, he goes through the entire start of underoath up to when he left and he explains why. get your facts straight.

i disagree. well ill tell you in a bit when i got to the concert oct 5. i personally think dallas higher screams and low shit was amazing. like i said ill tell you when i see them. dallas said hes gonna play an old one with them so yup.
pero porque the new underoath...casi nunca tocan viejas canciones????... ni se dan el lujo de tocar temas...que para mi; han sido los mejores...la mayoria compuestos por corey steger y dallas taylor :X
I think that spencer is a really good screamer.. but these songs just had... like an epic power behind the lyrics that spencer didn't recreate that well.
i swear to god i got chills watching this movie. in a good way. i still prefer protest the hero compared to underoath though. they are still very good tho
whatever...i dont care what genre are they i just love there songs...where here to watch there videos not argue what kind of humanoids blahblah they are...
jeeze what is it with you people! 1. current underoath= screamo, not emo. 2. old underoath= death/black metal 3. norma jean= not death metal, just hardcore, or if you want to get specific, chaos core.
i don't normally play synth.... but when i do i freak the fuck out

yeah you're right. but dallas is way better in maylene.

nada. his voice is horrible in maylene. maylene is hard to listen to cuz his voice is so cheeze.
JuSTIn13666 4 years ago
how is it cheeze?
he wants maylene to be totally different than underoath. so he decided to play southern metal which is sick as fuck.
hoobstank06 4 years ago
yeah. agreed. i love new underoath, but nothing beats the dallas days.
