  • i don't normally play synth.... but when i do i freak the fuck out

  • this is about chrismax...

  • @111whitepony111 you're confusing timbre with emotion.

  • i bet if they redid this it would be a HUGE hit

  • @barrowak the fuck outta here

  • @MuayThaiFan240 No.

  • this song is so sad

  • best song by UnderOath. Hits me everytime.

  • This song, is a peice of history.

  • pseudo melody/emotion

  • what is this pussy shit?

  • im glad to know chris dudley was the coolest snyth player back then

  • so much emotions, that was better than now, with their new sound,i mean yes spencer is good even though he was way better in This runs through

  • Underoath The Best Band Ever

  • ok, the accident and all of that is just a story that dallas came up with, nothing of that happened (thats why on "its dangerous business" they say its on porpose, if not they would be saying dallas murdered his gf and you guys know dallas and spencer are friends), i do think the song is like a 2nd part for cries, i have to say i love how dallas was with the audience, on here he caress a guy's head, on other he holds a guy (not on a gay way though), he was so much better and METAL!

  • @carcassgrindcorpsesc check out my alone in december cover please and make sure to comment it, it would mean alot=)

  • @screamorockstar i did, it is nice, perhaps a little to loud for the mic, it did sound really heavy, perhaps a little too much for the song (i mean you are a little more screaming than what the song needs, perhaps you understand what i mean, its great though)you should, make a cries of the past cover, you would kick ass on that one...

  • @carcassgrindcorpsesc thanks and thats a roc band mic i used by the way :D imagine if it was a real mic so thats why it might seem i was too loud cause i mean what im using is basically a prop so i needed to go loud i mean i dont want to whisper the song, and ill try doing that one hopefully pretty soon and thanks for watching it=)

  • @screamorockstar now its your turn, check out my channel and watch my videos. at least the uo ones

  • they rock

  • when you hear dallas you hear a world being told to you with intense emotion. When you hear spencer you hear a guy screaming.

  • its the complete opposite

  • its really not, when i hear spencing all i hear is darkness, no emotion just darkness

(not in a demonic sort of way) but when dallas screams, the way he screams and the music give it emotion, unlike spencer which just gives the song sort of a monotone emotion.

  • yeah i agree with you 100 %

  • ummm. dallas is the monotone screamer. all of his screams are right next to each other....spencer has soo much more range

  • @likekickingjesus check out my cover of alone in december please it would mean so much and make sure to spread the word=)

  • @hegersk yeah. that makes sense when spencer's screaming range is all across the board... and dallas had what. 2 screams? lol. fail.

  • @111whitepony111 lol thats all he needs.

  • i'm with you...i don't know how shadowshelter can think it's the opposite...there's a difference between listening to music and hearing it.

  • wasnt there a singer befor him and the screamer

  • so true

  • hahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahaahahahaha sooooooooooooo true hahahahahahaha

  • i never really thought about that buts its so true!

    still love spencers voice though

  • I love old Underoath

  • what year is this?

  • This is album very good is favorite music ..;) and when the sun sleeps

  • Dude EVERY SONG ON "the changing of times" AND "Cries of the past" are ABOUT that accident, and how he gave it to the LORD because he knows his love at the time is in heaven.. And he is married with as child...and that's the girlfriend he met in 2002..!! 2 years after the accident..when he was STILL in Underoath

  • then you prove what kosmodisks said was not true..becuase it is true.

  • LISTEN TO THE LYRICS, do you have no life, so you come on youtube and be gay because people can't beat the crap out of you?

  • actually, no, it's not.

  • you don;t know shit theschmugest..everything kosmodisks said, is true.

  • Old UnderOath owned them now.

  • ok then what's it about?

  • no scene kids

    cool :D

  • This song is about former UnderOath vocalist Dallas Taylor dealing with the death of his girlfriend, and how she died before he got the chance to really grow up. He grew into man after her death and became someone he believes she would be proud of. He has faith he'll see her again one day in heaven, and says he'll be coming home, but he'll be late

IMHO this song is realy awesome!

  • @kosmodisks is it really true that his girlfriend died? saturday december 4th 1999???

  • @182DADO182 NOOO HIS GF IS STILL ALIVE! THERE MARRIED NOW. He has a wifes name is Allison. They have a son, Corgan Taliaferro Taylor, who was born January 29, 2006

  • @indietone14 yeah thats his new girlfriend pal. his other one did die.

  • @182DADO182 yup. listen to when the sun sleeps, and cries of the past.

  • @kosmodisks this is not about his gf.. and she did not die.. they just broke up on and off and got back together. this songs about there problems and what not.

  • @indietone14 no, she died. he was driving and he crashed. listen to the song cries of the past it has everything that happened in it.

  • @underOATHisCHRIST No one died. There is an interview with dallas on youtube. Just search "Dallas Taylor interview" It is long but he tells how he later married her. Stop spreading misinformation, please.

  • @kosmodisks No it isn't. youtube(dot)com /watch?v=yvKzEMn69y8 .. watch all 4 or 5 parts. Dallas tells about what was really going on.

  • @kosmodisks hey cool stroy bro. Too bad you have no idea what this song is about. He wrote this when His girlfirend left him... Its a breakup song. Thanks for the well thought out lie tho.

  • if this is love then fairy tales are true

  • I like their old stuff more like this but thats just me, i still love their new stuff, i do feel they had more meaning back w/ dallas..

  • wow' its all about taylor..wahahha....

  • wow, your an ass hole.

  • liiiiiiiiiindo *-*, old underoath is the best *-*

  • you cant really compare the new and old

    underoath,

its almost like a different band.

they are both awesome in their own ways.

  • If anyone is seriously arguing that Underoath was better in the "Dallas" days, this is just silly. Spencer's vocals are among the best in the business today. Aaron has improved immensely. And the sound as a whole as become increasingly tight and well-constructed.

Their albums have improved with each succeeding one.

  • I feel that Dallas was like a proper frontman to the band, that led them and gave the band meaning, but with Spencer, especially, Lost in the Sound, Spencer is just there to scream and that is all.

    What other people think?

  • This song reminds me of my mum. She died in a car accident, and it's just so beautifully written. Written exactly the way I was feeling when I found out about the accident.

    I miss Dallas so much.

  • great song someone should do a drum cover for this song

  • oh yes back in the days!!!! word

  • i could cry just listening to this its soo good

  • this is the music that is being played and listened too now. not twenty, or thirty years ago. suck it up and move on.

  • Exactly. There is a reason shitty music from 30 years ago isn't popular anymore. It's SHIT.

  • yeah right. they were pretty good at taking lsd and writing shitty tripped out music. thats about it though...

  • wow, you're horribly ignorant

  • to is most definately music. listen to the guitar riffs. to the drums. there is music. if this wasn't music then how the hell are cd's of bands like this flying off the shelves? took me ages to find the album that this song came off of in a store. there was piles of black sabbath tho. piles. it may be a shame to you what is now considered as music, but if you pulled your head out of your ass and realized that hendrix is dead, bonham is dead too. this type of music can't exactly come back can it?

  • i never said that the doors, hendrix, led zeppelin or pink floyd are, in any way worse. it's just another musical style. pisses me off when people who have no clue about a band decide to jump in and rip on them. underoath just happens to be my favourite band. doesn't mean that's all i listen to. queen is one of the best bands of the last 50 years. the beatles, april wine. and if rap/hip hop is classified as music and there is no instruments being played at the live shows, then the stuff i listen

  • best post hardcore song

  • im pretty sure this is when they were deathcore with dallas lmao PITY!!!

  • they were much heavier before this, like on cries of the past and act of depression, but yepp it's with dallas. the changing of times, cries of the past, and act of depression are the only underOATH i really like much. they're only chasing safety, define the great line, and lost in the sound of separation just aren't as good. the only original member these days is the drummer, who plays nothing like he used to. he was awesome back in the day.

  • i agree with the dude below me..

have you ever heard Underoath's LYRICS? they mean something; they all tell a different story. these people are all talented. id like to see YOU try to scream with passion like that, and id like to see YOU play drums/guitar/sing like aaron gillespie can. these guys are amazing, plain and simple. and i admire them greatly.

  • not music my ass. what the hell do you listen to? rap? now there is smoething called music that is clearly not. "smack a bitch, shoot people, smoke drugs" yeah you are so cool 50 cent. suck a dick.

  • no, i listen to real musicians like the beatles and pink floyd and hendrix and the doors and stuff.

see, i just dont see how people consider a bunch of guys strumming rythmless chords while someone yells some melodyless lyrics that you cant even deptict what they're saying... music.

  • rythymless is how it's spelt. also it's not "melodyness" it's "melodic" also "depict"

not "deptict" although i think the word you are looking for there would be decifer. and after listening to this stuff for a bit, it's not too hard to pick up what they're saying. or is that too large of a concept for your small brain to wrap itself around?

  • even the best of us make typos. actually it's "rhythm"

  • i'm disappointed on your judgement of my intelligence by the way i typed.

and i know you agree with me :)... this clash horrible talent really doesn't make any rhythm...rythm...rythym...

    rithum?

  • well we all know that he(or she)who can't spell is a dumbfuck.

  • and what makes me a dumb fuck?

and back to the topic at hand THIS IS NOT MUSIC.

try something like the doors, jimi hendrix, pink floyd, the rolling stones, the beatles, led zeppelin... just to name a few.

it's sad how these artists and others put real, true talent into their work and made great music... and now sad lonely people are calling bands like underoath good musicians.

    its really a shame.

  • your a disgrace to all the bands names you just mentioned

  • and how's that?

  • If you knew what this song was about you would take that back...

  • how am i supposed to know what it's about when i cant even depict what hes yelling?

  • maybe clean your ears out or read the lyrics.

  • k i dont know how old u are but why do u look up bands u absolutely hate, thats fuckin stupid, it makes no sense, get a life u immature fuck...and btw the beatles suck balls that hang to the floor, rush beats all the bands u mentioned oh yeah and of course underoath

  • beefjerky: You have a very limited sense of rhythm if you can't find any in this song. Ridiculous. Not everyone has the same taste in music...

  • dam there new cd sucks really bad speancers voice is dying on it lol

  • dallas is hot..

  • underoath!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!<33

  • yeaaaaahhh boooyyyyyyyyyy

  • Beautifull song!!!

  • God i love this song and this video

  • Dallas Taylor was amazing.

  • **is

  • best underoath song

  • fuckin amaaaazing song

  • zikla is right.

i like the lyrics better in old underoath but i like the actual music and screaming better in new underoath.

  • they will never sound as heartfelt as this.

  • Totaly agree.

All there songs from The Changing of Times had so much meaning in them.

    :'(

i love this UO so much.

  • wow u guys sound like 2 kids fighting over on whos dad his better...if u can't respect both spencer and dallas then like run into a knife or something...they're both amazing..like come on....grow up

  • This is a legendary video. I had it on my computer when Kazaa was big back in the day.

  • agreed. this is an epic video that i've known of for years

  • old underoath = better lyrics and more meaning

new underoath = to keep up with the EMO trend/craze

  • So true.

    Old UnderOath pwns New UnderOath

  • this vid = epic

  • great song :D

    they are so amazing!!!

  • old underoath is so deep.

    its pretty fucking amazing

  • i miss dalas

  • Dont we all?

  • dallas is the god of screamer

  • dallas is way better than spencer

  • tatiana you broke my heart!! :( this song remind me that

  • Spencer is definately better.

  • I CANT GET OVER HOW AWSOME THEY ARE!

  • sooo goood live

  • I love underoath no matter what so id care wat any says about them

  • i love it when dallas points right at Aaron 3:02. i miss dallas.

  • My favorite song by them, they fucking tear it up, so nice.:-)

  • aaron's the only original member of the band left. if you watch the interviews with dallas, he goes through the entire start of underoath up to when he left and he explains why. get your facts straight.

  • THERE WAS NO DRUMMER BEFORE AARON

  • this is such a sad song. i love it.

  • musically they were so much innovating in their two first albums, the confusing timing and the passion they put at them caught us so badly, can be really felt listening ... the eternal spencer/dallas discussion, Dallas was first and that's to respect but the vocal range of Spencer is widely better

  • nigerian

  • i disagree. well ill tell you in a bit when i got to the concert oct 5. i personally think dallas higher screams and low shit was amazing. like i said ill tell you when i see them. dallas said hes gonna play an old one with them so yup.

  • maylene is bad. dallas sucks in them. too bad he left underoath. not that spencer is bad but dallas is amazing.

  • in the changing of times album...are works of corey???

  • fucking good song i love it

  • just look at the interview with dallas about underoath. he talks about all the members and when they left and who joined

  • wow, fucking great

  • best song of all time right here

  • what is the best old underoath song

  • CRIES OF THE PAST

  • OK KOOL...

  • I don't consider his as a drummer of underOATH, ever. Aaron is their default drummer, and no one will replace him.

  • i believe the guitarists were corey steger and octavio fernandez. scott nunn was the drummer before aaron but never made any albums

  • aaron was the first and current drummer.. scott was guitar up to like early 2003.

  • there was a drummer before aaron, but he never recorded anything and didnt last long.

  • if you watched the interviews dallas talks bout how they got aaron to be the first drum when he was liek 14...

  • i did watch the interviews. maybe im mistaken. haha. sry then.

  • Este UNDEROATH es mucho mejor ke el nuevo. Lastima ke hoy en dia no hay bandas como ellos. =(

  • the another guitarrist...is scott nunn?¿?...right?¿¿

  • amaazzzzingngngngng. <3

  • pero porque the new underoath...casi nunca tocan viejas canciones????... ni se dan el lujo de tocar temas...que para mi; han sido los mejores...la mayoria compuestos por corey steger y dallas taylor :X

  • I think that spencer is a really good screamer.. but these songs just had... like an epic power behind the lyrics that spencer didn't recreate that well.

  • yeah i agree with you. :(

  • yeah you're right. but dallas is way better in maylene.

  • nada. his voice is horrible in maylene. maylene is hard to listen to cuz his voice is so cheeze.

  • how is it cheeze?

he wants maylene to be totally different than underoath. so he decided to play southern metal which is sick as fuck.

  • yeah. agreed. i love new underoath, but nothing beats the dallas days.

  • i swear to god i got chills watching this movie. in a good way. i still prefer protest the hero compared to underoath though. they are still very good tho

  • this is such an amazing song

all of that album was amazing

i wish i saw old underoath live =[

also spencer does this song live sometimes but it just dosent sound as good

  • this song is so epic-_- makes me gone sad...

  • whatever...i dont care what genre are they i just love there songs...where here to watch there videos not argue what kind of humanoids blahblah they are...

  • man stfu. :P

    no jk

  • screamo is screaming emo music dunces!!

  • yeah underoath is screamo... definetly NOT emo!

  • ok...

screamo is the same thing as emo

    its just screming emo.

  • jeeze what is it with you people! 1. current underoath= screamo, not emo. 2. old underoath= death/black metal 3. norma jean= not death metal, just hardcore, or if you want to get specific, chaos core.

  • oii.. underoath is not death metal. its christian hardcore or screamo.

    get your facts right lol

  • this is hardcore/metalcore/scremo/religos
