i met spoonie gee in a jail in south carolina when i was in HS. i was like 15 and it was on some scared straight shit. real cool guy. i love old school hip hop. this is the stuff my mom listened 2 growing up and always played. i'm 24 now and can still can get with it
Do you hear how clear they are for live? I tried to listen to these cats today stage show and all I got was muffled rhymes and a million MF's on the stage. The sound was disorted and that says something about these young cats. They have superior digital stage and sound like shit! This was a 3 mics, 2 turns and a echo chamber and it sounds great! They were showman back then. And we can't forget CC4, Fantanstic and Force MC's not MD's...
i love when the old school rappers rock routines. that how me and my crew used to rock back in the day. i love it!!! does anyone have a tape of "peace allah" the song the supreme team used to rock at the end of their show? it had the "shalamar- night to remember " beat though it?
I'm 43 & I grew up in NYC,I remember going to parties with my boombox & recording these mcs live b4'79.. The Treacherous 3 mcs are one of my all time favorite mcs..Good Look out on the post..I've to take time out to do the same to share a piece of Real HipHop History,Peace,AB!1
That's wonderful to know! It would be VERY interesting to hear pre-1980 Treacherous Three performances from before they made records and just jammed/performed at the local nightclubs and street shows/corners. I agree about the T3 being a top favorite group of yours... it ranks in my personal top six at #2, next to Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five (#1), the Cold Crush Brothers (#3), Eric B. & Rakim (#4), Boogie Down Productions (#5) and Run-DMC (#6).

Rocket in the pocket was an all time break beat classic. Memories of the Cold Crush Brothers, Threacherous, Fantastic 5 and many others.

I wish you the very best of luck in properly and completely uploading your old classic tapes, if you can still find them. Peace to you as well! :)
