This song is awesome but more suited for David Cook's voice. I didn't like these two in a duet because David A. has a young voice while David Cook's voice is more mature so the two did not balance out to me in this type of song.

I have to admit, earlier years with ruben and clay irritated me, but the talent has gotten better, not that the winner every year was the best (Daughtry). Cook should be commended, he was very gracious, and was extremely considerate. In this song he had the most powerful voice but numerous times he checked himself so Archie could shine. They both are great, I wasnt the biggest fan of archie untill this song. KUDOS!!! I hope this year is good they will be a tough act to follow for sure

Why does it matter who was singing which lower and higher part...did you watch the show at all throughout the season?

Cook sings higher because he sounds better that way.

Archuleta sings lowers because he sounds better that way.

Their voices sounded good together in this...I was surprised seeing how they're so different.

This was--by FAR--the BEST "group sing" ever on American Idol (it wouldn't have to be all that good....) The contrast of their voices was outstanding. It might be a smart move to pair them up again for a single release. Love both of these guys. I had latched on to David Cook during the audition phase and never let go (I screamed, pumped my fist and wept openly when he won... :-)) but love David Archuleta too. They are both SO deserving and I wish them both GREAT success.

lol... Do you even know what you are listening to? David Archuleta was the one who was singing the lower harmony for the entire song aside from one note. Lower harmonies are much more difficult to execute in my opinion and I think Archuleta showed talent and originality here. Cook sounds like nothing more than another Nickelcrap front man wannabe.
