That Owen Hart stunt was the stupidest fucking thing the WWE has ever done. It took the same amount of pressure to pull a trigger on a gun then it took for Owen Hart to come out of his harness. It should have never been allowed.
Soloxable, you're an idiot. Obituaries and news stories about a person dying aren't "fake" or "scripted" what the hell kind of storyline for wwe would that even be? With the stunt he was trying to do, accidents are possible and deadly
@Soloxable you are a FUCKING idiot. how can a fake accident that happened 12 years ago, still show today that owen hart is dead? its not possible for wrestling to inflict upon encyclopedias and other outside realms of reality. if john cena died in wrestling, it wouldnt be in the news paper that john cena is dead and it wouldnt be listed in real-life segments such as wikipedia. did u ever see anywhere other than WWE that vince really died? no cause that was SCRIPTED, this wasnt.
@Pedaissance Just ignore him, he is trolling, just looking for angered replies. Obviously just some retard kid that has that much of an incredibley sad life that this is his entertainment. Just laugh at him and ignore him
@Soloxable Dude, everyone knows wrestling is fake but everyone also knows that this particular incident, Owen Hart's death, is very real. It was an accident that was meant to happen. Regardless of whether or not you are just acting ignorant to piss people off, you should be more respectful to the dead.
@pauluk2011 The entrance was designed to poke fun at WCW's Sting. Vince McMahon felt that Sting's gimmick was a joke and that this would be a way to both insult WCW as well as humiliate Owen because of issues he had with the WWF at the time based on various angles they had wanted him to do that Owen flatly refused.
Austin was pissed off for owen injuring him seriously and nearly ending his career. Im sure he had a huge grudge against owen till this day but quite understandable
Everyone that knew Owen have all said that it was impossible to say anything bad about him. I may have hated his character as a heel (because he played one so well), but I always thought he was one of, if not the most, well rounded wrestler in the WWF.
I really wish that Owen's ex-wife would do the right thing and let Owen be inducted into the hall of fame and let WWE even do a tribute DVD/blue-ray for Owen Hart - WWE can even donate that money to charity.. Owen was very proud to be a wrestler but from what i hear his wife was not.. I think it is selfish of her to deny Owen's right to be remembered by old wrestling fans, and to be known by the new wrestling fans.. Owen Hart for 2012 Hall of Fame please!! <3
When I was watching over the edge and JR annoucned on television that Owen Hart has died, I could not watch the rest of the show, I was in total shock that he died.. The next day at school I remmber so many people were really saddened by it.it was a very gloomy day.. that night on Raw was a great way to say goodbye to Owen, it was an emotional show, I cried a lot during it. Man what a powerful moment. I hear people talk smack all the time about Owen injuring Austin but when you work thousands of matches in your lifetime and 300+ per year, mistakes happen. Austin held no grudge it was a simple accident. Stuff happens. Such an incredible tragedy that we all lost Owen
I remember watching this when I was in High School and sobbing. I had some buddies who were at the show in KC the night before. So sad...Owen was an incredible technical wrestler and a class act.
@MikeyMcKillYou Who's blaming anyone? Maybe YOU should read people's comments before you assume something. I never once blamed WWE. I said it amazes me why he isn't ib it. Know what you're talking about before you start making comments. WWE HOF is shit. He's in the real one. That's all that matters.

one thing i never understood and it's touched on in books about this night was why under taker didn't say or show up or anything i don't even think those two had a story line so i didn't get it and still don't
@billcary30 It's all to to with keeping character, back then it meant a lot more, The Rock in actual fact almost ran out to ringside when Owen fell, but Vince tapped him on the shoulder and said you can but you'd be breaking character. So the Rock decided to wait for the stretcher to be brought backstage.
@billcary30 When your character is really saying "Rest in peace" to your opponent, I always felt that having him out there would betray the Undertaker character.
@SuperJuliusC What you just said was more disrespectful than the respect he showed owen and his family, Really get's me why assholes like you are even allowed anywhere near a computer...
2. One of the best wrestlers of all time was plucked away from our lives due to a stupid stunt, and he was a great man, who was loved by many. Losing that sucks
@borat4421 No, he isn't, only because he was never given the opportunity to be a legend. I think any true fan of wrestling would say that if Owen would still be alive today, he'd have been a multiple time champion. Why he isn't in the WWE Hall of Fame amazes me. He was inducted a while ago into the Wrestling Hall of Fame, which is the one that truly matters, so hopefully WWE will open their eyes
@jdonofrio82 It's not the WWE that are keeping him out of theirs. It's Owens widow. Read up on some stuff before blaming anyone about anything. She refuses to let WWE use Owen's likeness for anything.
owen was one of my favourites! he would been great! i am sad he never got the chance to be what he should have been 5 years before he died. he was held back by bret. and how i know that is because owen would been wwf champion if it had NOT been for bret standing in his way. just like edge cost christian the KOTR 2001 and the wcw title win in 2001. Have to say, Austin didnt HAVE to do this, shows what a true man he is. Best ever in wrestling but a great MAN as everyone who knows him personally says.
I wonder how some people sleep at night. I wish Owen would've went w/ his gut and just refused to do the stunt & accept whatever consequence there was. If they want to fire him or try and make his life hell then tell 'em to fuck off and continue your career elsewhere. smh RIP Owen :*( God Bless you Steve for that great tribute.
mrbikiniinspector1, SAMMYJS991, will you two PLEASE stop it! Argue about it on another video, and stop ruining this sad tribute to such a wonderful man.
@3737jak If I felt the way Austin did I wouldn't have appeared on the tribute at all. Besides, if Owen apologized to him once every day until he had died would it fix Austin's neck? Do you think Austin apologized to the Chono a million times when he did it to him? Not likely.
@McMahonHater the apology was only like 2 min, thats not nearly enough time to say hey sorry i broke your neck it takes way more than that respect for him or not
@3737jak Again, Did Austin do it for Chono when he basically did the same thing to him? How many times is he supposed to say he's sorry? How long should he take to say it?
@McMahonHater well maybe he didnt but it doesnt matter bc even if they didnt like owen he still had a little respect for him and his in ring talent, and austin even said in an interview that if he broke someones neck he would call 100 times(talking back to the chono match)
@3737jak I know what your talking about, but you are avoiding my question. Do you think Austin apologies to Masahiro Chono a million times, since he did the exact same thing to him in 1992? Do they talk about that in "Stone Cold Truth"? Fuck Austin anyway, he's nothing but a dirty drunk, and a gutless woman beater.
@McMahonHater gutless? he kicked ever single little piece of ass in the wwf whenever he saw fit. and to answer your question yes..obviously you didnt watch the video bc he said "i would call him every day and say hey man are you gettin better i feel bad about it" and they dont talk about chono directly but he says if he broke someones neck yes he would call a million times
@3737jak Wrestling's fixed, Austin didn't actually kick anybodies ass... other then his wife's. Just because Austin said he'd do it doesn't mean he did. Bret Hart said he'd never work for Vince McMahon again, and look where he is now. The fact that they don't talk about Chono is proof enough for me that he probably never bothered to call him at all.
@McMahonHater well no shit but how often would you bring somethin up that you feel like shit about? and he was toasting bc he still had respect for him no matter what went down in the past, it doesnt really matter whether he beat his wife or not yea its not cool at all and it shouldnt be done but this is about the respect stone cold had for austin even though he broke his neck, he even said that not much changed between him and owen they just didnt talk that much anymore
@3737jak All Austin ever did when was shit on Owen every chance he got. Hell he said "If I ever did that to somebody..." every time, why didn't he say "When I did it to Chono..."? Because he is full of shit. Besides that Owen didn't drink, so smashing two beer can's together isn't paying tribute to him. The truth is none of this was done to honor Owen, it was done for ratings, and to make money.
@TheRuthlessRapper I have never heard anyone say that Owen never apologized for it. As far as visiting him, there was nowhere to visit. Austin was back on the road with the WWF in less than a month. He was actually back in the ring by November. It's pro wrestling and sometimes stuff like that happens in the ring. You deal with it and you move on as a professional.
@CombatSportFan yes sometimes bad stuff happends in the ring.. but a cabel supporting someones weight is a different story, obviously the propper precausions weren't taken.
@KorneliusKrunch No, not that. I was talking about when Owen piledrove Austin and injured his neck. Austin, apparently, held a grudge about that for the remainder of his career. I was saying that Austin should have moved on and been more professional about it. What Owen was asked to do was a stunt that a pro wrestler never should have had to do.
@oldschool6804 ...I dont know if he went to the funeral or not, but Austin had a legit grievance with Owen. Owen almost paralyzed him, and according to Austin he never apologized about it.
In an interview i think in 03 Bret said that Steve wasnt good with death and that he did care it as just hard for him. You can see him chocked up even if you cant hear hat hes saying. Give me a hell yeah for Owen Hart RIP.
@postalmeter go play in traffic. owen was one of the most technically sound wrestlers there ever was. how old are you, kid? didn't you see, right before he raised the can up, he was mouthing something, fighting back tears, and paying his respects. go play in traffic
@postalmeter he may have said something after the show went off the air but you have to realize his character, i think the undertaker didnt come out at the start of the show cos of his character
What I think he said: "Owen, I'll never forgot you...I can't anyway because you broke my neck you crazy son of a bitch. Rest in peace." Austin was the man. Owen was the man. 2 of the greatest.
Its sucks that Steve doesnt wrestle anymore do to the pile driver he suffered from Owen i know it wasnt Owen's fault btw Its such a damn shame that that piece of shit Russo made Owen do that stunt that night in Kansas, also people outta realize that it was an accident which happens in this world R.I.P Owen
@HLRCENA4LIFE he didnt stop wrestlin cause of tht. its cause in real life him and vince had a falling out and he wanted nothin to do with vince anymore
@HLRCENA4LIFE Hey, just so you know, it was his legs that put him out of wrestling. His neck bothered him, sure, but his legs sealed his fate. Aint you ever notice the huge knee braces he wore?
@SETHBOB424 What a mark, he had knee problems since high school (read his book) they werent a problem, it was his neck and back that made him retire.......nearly every pro athlete has knee problems of some kind. No matter how minor. Like I say - mark.

Wow, Stone Cold actually drank most of that beer. Usually he just empties it all over his face.

Austin's a fake, if he really respected Owen he'd have gone to the man's funeral.
McMahonHater 6 months ago
@McMahonHater would you respect a man that broke your neck? and only apologized once
3737jak 6 months ago
@3737jak If I felt the way Austin did I wouldn't have appeared on the tribute at all. Besides, if Owen apologized to him once every day until he had died would it fix Austin's neck? Do you think Austin apologized to the Chono a million times when he did it to him? Not likely.
McMahonHater 6 months ago
@McMahonHater the apology was only like 2 min, thats not nearly enough time to say hey sorry i broke your neck it takes way more than that respect for him or not
3737jak 6 months ago
@3737jak Again, Did Austin do it for Chono when he basically did the same thing to him? How many times is he supposed to say he's sorry? How long should he take to say it?
McMahonHater 6 months ago
@McMahonHater well maybe he didnt but it doesnt matter bc even if they didnt like owen he still had a little respect for him and his in ring talent, and austin even said in an interview that if he broke someones neck he would call 100 times(talking back to the chono match)
3737jak 6 months ago
@McMahonHater watch "stone cold truth dvd part 5" and youll see what im talkin about
3737jak 6 months ago
@3737jak I know what your talking about, but you are avoiding my question. Do you think Austin apologies to Masahiro Chono a million times, since he did the exact same thing to him in 1992? Do they talk about that in "Stone Cold Truth"? Fuck Austin anyway, he's nothing but a dirty drunk, and a gutless woman beater.
McMahonHater 6 months ago
@McMahonHater gutless? he kicked ever single little piece of ass in the wwf whenever he saw fit. and to answer your question yes..obviously you didnt watch the video bc he said "i would call him every day and say hey man are you gettin better i feel bad about it" and they dont talk about chono directly but he says if he broke someones neck yes he would call a million times
3737jak 6 months ago
@3737jak Wrestling's fixed, Austin didn't actually kick anybodies ass... other then his wife's. Just because Austin said he'd do it doesn't mean he did. Bret Hart said he'd never work for Vince McMahon again, and look where he is now. The fact that they don't talk about Chono is proof enough for me that he probably never bothered to call him at all.
McMahonHater 6 months ago
@McMahonHater well no shit but how often would you bring somethin up that you feel like shit about? and he was toasting bc he still had respect for him no matter what went down in the past, it doesnt really matter whether he beat his wife or not yea its not cool at all and it shouldnt be done but this is about the respect stone cold had for austin even though he broke his neck, he even said that not much changed between him and owen they just didnt talk that much anymore
3737jak 6 months ago
@3737jak He was toasting him because Vince told him to.
McMahonHater 6 months ago
@3737jak All Austin ever did when was shit on Owen every chance he got. Hell he said "If I ever did that to somebody..." every time, why didn't he say "When I did it to Chono..."? Because he is full of shit. Besides that Owen didn't drink, so smashing two beer can's together isn't paying tribute to him. The truth is none of this was done to honor Owen, it was done for ratings, and to make money.

That is rich. An armchair douche bag who has never done anything in life calling someone like Austin a fake.

oldschool6804 1 month ago
@oldschool6804 -__- the man broke his neck and didnt visit him once or say sorry. how would you feel?
TheRuthlessRapper 1 month ago
@TheRuthlessRapper I have never heard anyone say that Owen never apologized for it. As far as visiting him, there was nowhere to visit. Austin was back on the road with the WWF in less than a month. He was actually back in the ring by November. It's pro wrestling and sometimes stuff like that happens in the ring. You deal with it and you move on as a professional.
CombatSportFan 3 weeks ago
@CombatSportFan yes sometimes bad stuff happends in the ring.. but a cabel supporting someones weight is a different story, obviously the propper precausions weren't taken.
KorneliusKrunch 2 weeks ago
@KorneliusKrunch No, not that. I was talking about when Owen piledrove Austin and injured his neck. Austin, apparently, held a grudge about that for the remainder of his career. I was saying that Austin should have moved on and been more professional about it. What Owen was asked to do was a stunt that a pro wrestler never should have had to do.
CombatSportFan 2 weeks ago
@oldschool6804 ...I dont know if he went to the funeral or not, but Austin had a legit grievance with Owen. Owen almost paralyzed him, and according to Austin he never apologized about it.
flipgood89 1 week ago
In an interview i think in 03 Bret said that Steve wasnt good with death and that he did care it as just hard for him. You can see him chocked up even if you cant hear hat hes saying. Give me a hell yeah for Owen Hart RIP.

Doesn't say ANYTHING?
Geez obviously he didn't like the guy much... can't blame him though, Owen broke his neck from being such a fuckup.
postalmeter 7 months ago
@postalmeter he may have said something after the show went off the air but you have to realize his character, i think the undertaker didnt come out at the start of the show cos of his character
BlueBlazer89 6 months ago
@BlueBlazer89
Yeah right.-- I'm sure he shared that exact same beer with Owen..... 20 minutes later on his grave.
He was always pissed at him for avoiding after the neck-thing; but the Hart family was always kinda pshcho, like most wrestling-families. .
postalmeter 6 months ago
What I think he said: "Owen, I'll never forgot you...I can't anyway because you broke my neck you crazy son of a bitch. Rest in peace." Austin was the man. Owen was the man. 2 of the greatest.

Its sucks that Steve doesnt wrestle anymore do to the pile driver he suffered from Owen i know it wasnt Owen's fault btw Its such a damn shame that that piece of shit Russo made Owen do that stunt that night in Kansas, also people outta realize that it was an accident which happens in this world R.I.P Owen
HLRCENA4LIFE 7 months ago 61
@HLRCENA4LIFE The Piledriver happened in the summer of 1997, Austin didnt stop wrestling full time until 2002.
Two knee injuries and a serious back injury contributed just as much as the piledriver, dont be ignorant and place the blame on Owen or even Russo.

HLRCENA4LIFE 5 months ago
@HLRCENA4LIFE Hey, just so you know, it was his legs that put him out of wrestling. His neck bothered him, sure, but his legs sealed his fate. Aint you ever notice the huge knee braces he wore?
SETHBOB424 5 months ago
@SETHBOB424 What a mark, he had knee problems since high school (read his book) they werent a problem, it was his neck and back that made him retire.......nearly every pro athlete has knee problems of some kind. No matter how minor. Like I say - mark.
