Dude lives all of his songs. feels the emotions of the first time he sang them. a lot of people are capable of writing very emotive songs but what sets adam apart is he LIVES the songs and where he was head wise when he wrote them for every single performance.
Oh my god, this song makes me feel... i cant describe it, everything... nothing... all wrapped into one, This is the first time i've heard the acoustic version, and it honestly made my heart pound faster... its like... the feeling you get when you're in love, because thats what this song is, pure love... so beautiful
I realize you posted this in 2008 but where in God's name is this recording from? This is my favorite song of all time and this version is ridiculous and I need it!
so maybe i should snap her up in a butterfly net, pin her down in a photograph album. instrumental poetry, counting crows give me chills everytime, their music is simply beautiful and overwhelming specially when thinking of that special loved one. i love to hear them in a cold crisp autumn night. amazing. peaceful. life.
Counting Crows always touch me. They are one of the few bands who can make me cry and even if i have bad memories when i listen to they.. I just love them and they write the best lyrics, thank you :)
love their acoutic versions. AD seems to dig right into your soul and touch it. i agree with a couple of other responders who would love to see them come out with an acoustic album or two the way Jackson Browne has done the past few years.
i dont know about anybody else but i like counting crows more acoustic just seems to be more moving than their studio versions but anyways anna begins has helped me through alot of troubles and struggles throughout my life as a teenager and now i am gonna be turning 21 soon it still helps me through hard times
I totally agree. I love coming onto youtube and listening to the acoustics. They are so filled with emotion. I wish they were on the albums. Especially A Murder of One with the extended version.
Ya Adam Duritz is a totally cool guy whom I'd love to meet. His lyrics are so relatable and also personal in his own way. He's definitely far from being a sell out like most musicians.
when he talks about love, im currently in a relationship and i have fallen in love, im afraid of falling in love but what im more afraid of is falling out of love and that is what i believe he is talking about
I never thought of looking here for CC's vids. Pretty Slick. 'Beautiful' recording. I am proud and extremely 'fortunate' in saying that I go way back with Adam and Dave as well. 'Lucky' I guess. Bitchin' selection here!
I remember that they did a very good version of this on Howard Stern...it sent chills down my spine...."everytime she sneezes I believe it's love"...perfect line
@diegoamerezrocks yeah I also completely agree with you. My first time hearing this song acoustically and I think it has more feeling when you hear in the acoustic version. especially the line 'everytime she sneezes I believe its love, oh lord i'm not ready for this sort of thing'. Now that tugs at your heartstrings. Saw them in concert in '02 at the IU Auditorium in Bloomington and it was really great!
DONT READ THIS! In 1997 a girl called lauren was walikng in a forest and then a she just dissapeared no one ever found her untill 2000 when a yoing girl called Mary found her body and markings on her chest saying: I wasnt pretty enough" and now you have read this she will appear in your mirror saying your not pretty enough and kill you. by the way the girl called mary died shortly after. To be saved paste this to 5 other videos. THIS TRUE i dont like doing this
does anybody know where the other accoustic version can be found? it used to be on youtube and it was a live performance i believe but im not sure where at so i dont know where to begin looking for it. but i just cant find it anywhere and that is really upsetting bc i think that version was the best by far. if anybody knows please let me know!!!
I Think I Know what your Talking about if you have Comcast Cable its On Demand Under Concerts Right Now Just go to the Free Spot ON DEMAND!!!:) Hopefully I helped
Cities 97 in MN puts out an acoustic cd every year. Another acoustic version of this song in on their one from 2007... I know you can find some on ebay its called cities sampler
I have that CD, not only is the rendition of "Anna Begins" seriously awesome, the whole CD is one of their best sampler CDs in 20 years. You can undoubtedly find it somewhere on the 'Net if you're so inclined.
im also looking for a live performance where adam is explaining the inspiration for the song beforehand..... can't find it either but will let you know if i do !
the 2 cd album is called across a wire and it does have a live version of this song but its not the same. i have seen a you tube video where he is explaining how he met this girl backpacking thru europe and she was the inspiration for this song. thanks for your help anyway....
That CD - while the music is amazing - is a load of bullocks. I got it specifically for the stroytelling and guess what? They completely took out that part.
