hey whats the difference between iwork 08 and 09? I have 08, but not sure if its worth getting the update. I only use it for school (papers, presentations)
Sweet so instead of categorizing the templates to make it much faster and easier they just have all 200 of them for you to scroll through and search for the one you want?
Why would anyone buy a licence from any of thease arrogant bastards (Gates and Jobs) just for desktop use?! There is something called torrent downloads, P2P's...GET IT FOR FREE! Both of these suits are the same in the end, when you print or save the doc or presentation.
iwork 09 sucks. I have iwork 08 and can't open iwork 09 documents. Apple trying to force me to upgrade? I would rather spend $118 for office 08'- it might cost a little more but at least it has a longer shelf life.
Open office is nice if you just need a bare bone office platform. However if you want to use a full feature office platform with loads of smart features I would go with iWork. There is really no comparison. I'm a huge open source fanboy but you can't really compare iWork and OO.
If youre using two different OS's (ie. XP and Leopard) Open/Neo office is probably better due to the compatibility with pretty much every kind of document
Pretty good and usefull movie sir. So, i never had a mac, i'm wondering to buy anew macbook pro. So, you have a msn, skype, programas like that and running great wihout problems?
Nope a program called screenflow, mac only and it is amazing. Lets u edit it add effects and the whole shabang! but if you are buying it its like $100 but there are other ways to get it if you torrent or something. i think you can get a free demo too just to check it out its super nice. it can do HD but i havent gotten imovie and screenflow to work in sync HD yet. =( sorry for the long comment =)

Most certainly! Skype is a dream and pretty much works exactly like windows. iChat works with many chat clients also and is amazing.
