  • This is an act of dominance.... Wild horses do this to show agression towards younger mares.

  • Oh my gosh, homosexuality is AGAINST THE LAWS OF NATURE. that horse must be a damn liberal. Her parents did something wrong in raising her. She shouldn't be allowed to marry other gay horses.

  • Maybe your horse is in heat and really wants to..you...know....do it..lol

  • lol its funny but gross

  • I wonder if the mare had a penis would she know how to use it?

  • your horse is a lesbian

  • That's hot.

  • the other mare shes mountin is showin so that mare is in heat

  • My pony did this too! Except she was that accomplished because she was 13 hands and trying to mount a 16h warmblood mare haha! She only did this a couple of times and never again :/ Weird!

  • Her hormons are out of wack. If she is preggers or you bred her then the extra testoseron that normaly goes to helping the foal is getting into her lungs and making estragin and making her think she needs to be a stallion.

Mares also do this when they are close to being in heat or falus pregnacy.

  • i know this isnt right, im just tossing it out there but she might want to be a transgender. nah! just messing but ive never seen a mare do that.

  • I would have here hormone levels checked I have had horses most of my life and a few were mares and none of mine did this. It is a doninace thing but if she is producing to much testosterone she may do this to

  • ur horse is lesbian x)

  • Or maybe she is a hermaphrodite. Get a blood test done and have a vet do an inturnal scan to see if she has male organs inside. We had a mare at work that was a hermaphrodite but no male organs but also no uterus so she could never get in foal.

  • @82jrd That's really wierd!

  • haha high on hormones :]

  • my mare was very stallion like for about 3 yrs, i findly got her checked by the vet and she ended up having an 18pd tumor! i had it removed a couple mos ago. shes doing great and back to her sweet sane self.

  • shes like i wanna b a stallion

  • She's teahcing?........lol

  • Fail....

  • she saw the stallions doin it. she just wanted to see what all the fuss was aboutXD

  • lesbian xDF

  • she is showing that the other mare is in heat (ready to breed) ... it most likey is not a dominace isuuse bec the little bit i whatched shes not showing agressive behavior

  • the fact that we associate this natural act with a "problem" tells more about us than the horse! ....btw, if most mares do this (according to comments here) so why do we call it a stallion behavior?! (we are extending our own cultural biases to animals!)

  • She may have an ovarian tumour, this can cause stallion behaviour in mares because it releases testosterone. You should have her checked out by a vet if it is ongoing.

  • she could have been comin heat my mare dose that when she is comin in

  • it could be a hormone inbalance or she could be displaying dominace.

  • lol, my dogs do that xP

  • she is simply showing the other horses that shes the boss..

  • thats random

whoa btw u have heaps of horses kool!

  • Yep, my mare that is prego (90 days) is doing this also...hormones are off the chart..lol

  • haha, look at all the other mares, they are like all tails up and like, c'monn !!!

  • her horemones were going wild, my dog did this too.

  • my dog bitch too xD

  • its probally horomonal like two much esterone from cycts on overy

  • somebodies a bit confused lol oh well

  • No alot of mares do this when they are in deep season, hormones get to them when they are not "served" so they find other ways to make themselves feel "accomplished"

  • Thank you! A mare at my barn did this last summer and I was a bit confused?

  • Are you sure she isn't just bisexual or something?

  • that might be it .

  • Very nice video.. maybe she have a granulosa cells tumor in her ovary.. this neoplasy changes the hormonal releasing and metabobism.. ask for a vet.

  • we had a mare who did the same thing at one point. Though it wasn´t my horse, but my pony belonged to this mare´s pack (which was the boss). I remember there was something wrong with her, not that badly but they did make her go through a surgery. After that she was like nothing had happened.. but I don´t remember what it was they "fixed"..

  • ROY G BIV!

  • she is just showing her dominance.!Duhh!!!!

  • All she is doing is showing her dominance against the other mares. Meaning she is the lead mare of the herd.

  • No, she is not. The Chestnut is the top dog. She is holding currently the 3rd position in the group.

...and she never made it higher up.

  • @7scout7 If the horses she is mounting are lower than her in the herd than she is showing she is still more dominant over them. If those mares are higher than her then she is trying to work her way up on the totem pole. Least that's how it is for other animals I've never seen horses do it though.

  • @7scout7 Well, she's at least TRYING to dominate.

  • @TheSpottedPoniee or she's a lesbian lol jk

  • @TheSpottedPoniee My mare is dominant and never once has she humped...well anything

  • animals can be gay just as much as people can. lol jk. I think its to show dominance maybe? But she does seem kinda gentle about it.... ya maybe your mare is a lesbian afterall.

  • Maybe shes just got a lot more stallion gen in her then mare or something.

  • I own this mare for 3 years now. This she just did for one day only. Never before or since. I assume her hormones just went a bit crazy that day.

  • O I thought it was like a thing she does like every day or something when u said it LOL. yeah some mares do, do that at times, as they dicover things too.
