My Father told me about the Melas with every season in Punjab where people get together and enjoy in a traditional manner but now it is totally extint and unfortunately our generation really dont know much about our culture any more and these types of melas are also not in existence anymore and it is a dire situation since were a part of our Culture and Proud nations do remember their culture and traditions.
two points: one is that picturization is good as they have successfully tried to show all the excitement of a mela, although some dance sequences are not too good. Second, it remind us of Mehnaz. She was a good singer too but looks like she is lost in past. I wish Asif and Waseem can bring her songs too. thanks.
Its attribute punjab culture but now a days this culture near to end and new generation are not will familiour with this traditions. Meela and Dhool relation can be seen in punjab and voice of dhool seems very very sweets. Thnks for loading this one.
@4321tariq punjabi parents are to be blamed in part for this as they don't even speak punjabi with their kids, but try to speak urdu/hindi/english and feel inferior speaking punjabi. we should be proud to speak punjabi and teach our kids our language. Although I live in Canada, but we speak punjabi at home and both my kids can speak and understand punjabi. I particulary try to use punjabi vocabulary instead of any urdu word.
@ktpunjab No self-respecting punjabi feels inferior!!!! this is not just a problem for punjabis, even other languages like pasto, sindhi etc.... are not spoken with children here either!!! but the problem is not JUST for us overseas, its a BIG problem in PAkistan as well!!! as a punjabi did you ever study punjabi in school?
@amnabutt123 I was never taught Punjabi as a language in school. You are right in all the points you mentioned. But with time things are heading to the worst. For example, when we used to go to school, although Punjabi was not taught as a language, but we spoke Punjabi in schools even with teachers (maybe because I attended "khoti" school). Now a days, I see small kids going to small schools in Pakistan's small cities and speaking Urdu in Punjabi accent with teachers.
@ktpunjab hey don't say khoti school... I went there and IT WAS the BEST TIME of my life!!! btw, the so called english midium schools have only turned out alot of KHOTAS and KHOTIS!!! :D and these khotas/khotis are leading pakistan TODAY!! That's why the problem is at its worst now! :D
Why 4 dislikes ? Plz dont do this again.

@WupeViasco no worries - the culture is similar throughout the punjab region so sometimes it gets a bit difficult to tell the countries apart
