Ya know, I didn't have much respect for triple h 10 years ago. I didn't feel like he was that talented and just kinda rode on Shawn's coat tails for a shortcut to the spotlight. But, looking back at his whole career, it's apparent that he earned all the greatness that he has. Triple H is an A list performer.

But it makes me wanna cry thinking back when WWF was around with the main events like no-holds bar matches with Triple H vs Stone Cold for the WWF tital. That was when I was like 8 years old, I'm 19 now, nearly 20, time does fly, it's really sad to be quite honest.

Very true, i grew up in early 90s and for me it was all about STONE COLD. Just hearing his music was exciting,and JR always had great reactions to his stunner. Personally i think the 90s were so much better than now.

But one thing to keep in mind, the Attitude Era was almost "forced upon" WWE as a result of WCW beating them in the ratings for almost two years in a row, and the buzz surrounding ECW. We don't have those things now. ECW and WCW made WWE change its direction in 1997-1998 which then resulted in the Attitude Era. Its that simple.
HHH is cool and for a long time he was one of my favorite wrestlers, certainly up there with The Rock, BUT...I stopped watching wrestling around the time The Rock and Austin left, and I hear HHH has around 11 championship wins. It's difficult taking him and that many career wins seriously when he married the boss's daughter. He's the son-in-law of the CEO, and so there's definitely a conflict of interest that I don't find appealing or fair to the other guys who've worked their asses off.

Triple H has certainly come a long way. I used to really hate this guy back in the day. Hunter Heartst Helmsley Era time. I don't know what changed me around. I guess the fact that he was such a good heel at the time. You kind of grow to respect him.
I loved his matches with Shawn Michaels the most. My favourite promos were against The Rock though. They had Great Chemistry.
I also loved his Last Man Standing match with Chris Jericho. And the matches he had with Mankind/Mick Foley.

We atleast have him til wm next year, rematch of him and taker. once these two r gone, agreed wwe is a sinking ship. Cena wont save it. He works hard yes, but he is way too built up. Batista was the only other that couod of done something. But hes gone.

u can compare both their returns & crowd reactions to see what i mean..
the simple reason is shawn's always a good guy babyface but hhh can be a funny face or badass heel at the same time & the people love him for that.

@s1e5b9 For me it is hard to say that but he is certainly one of the best. Triple H, Stone Cold, The Rock were the guys who defined professional wrestling in the 90's and early 2000's which was when the WWF was at its best

triple h is legendary, hes the evil guy with the pointy nose, hes also the man who had an incredible road to recovery that gained him alot of support... the only people who diss him are people who werent even alive when he had his greatest matches.... and believe me, he had hundreds of good matches.
hes the soul reason why alot of fans even tune into the show, or go to the event, so they can see the legends like hhh, taker and guys like that, the people with the "it" factor.

Take edge for example,yes,he is a good wrestler (not great though) & he's been around for over a decade but is that 1 decade of performance cemented to the fans' hearts?i don't think so,except during his tag-team run with christian. Triple H has certainly come a long way. I used to really hate this guy back in the day. Hunter Heartst Helmsley Era time. I don't know what changed me around. I guess the fact that he was such a good heel at the time. You kind of grow to respect him.
I loved his matches with Shawn Michaels the most. My favourite promos were against The Rock though. They had Great Chemistry.
I also loved his Last Man Standing match with Chris Jericho. And the matches he had with Mankind/Mick Foley.

@JPW383 indeed, but for me, it was also that he is pretty much the last of the last Adittued era guy that still has that edge!!!, wrestlers today can't even measure up to the guys in the past, plu Triple H himself has changed out of the 10 or years in the business, I too hated him!!, but he grows on you, its like you love to hate him, and he is a legend he is pretty much and always will be the most popular bad guys in history, no one can take that form him, and he plays it so DAMN well -_~

@dudeme12 i guess you're forgetting what edge did before he was a world champion/main eventer.
He was a Tag Team Wrestler. Quite possibly part of one of the best of all time. And he had some of the best Ladder Matches of all time. Remember when he speared Jeff Hardy in Mid Air.
Or the TLC matches you get. Or even Edge vs Christian matches. It took him almost a decade to reach the top.
I like to think Edge deserves his title reigns and he certainly lives up to his name. The Opportunist .

@dudeme12 Yeah, But prior to that he was in the WWE/WWF for a awhile. Like, They gave him the title so much was to build him, He was always a great tag team. But at start of Singles wasn't the best Singles competitor well rather put on boring matches to start with, Hence why they needed to Build him.
Sure, I mean, Younger guys need the push, But remember, You need the older guys to push them, Gives them more of a name, Plus, The older guys who still have it in them put on great matches.

Triple is definitely one of the best. Every show and paperview he gives us the best that he has. When he is a heel you love to hate him, when he is a good guy, he is the best in the world. Triple is a top 5 wrestler. I pray that he doesnt retire. But if he does, he should have the Hall of Fame award soon. One of the hjardest working in the business!!!
