if you're retarded---if you think pro wrestling is real---if you love monster trucks---if you think larry the cable guy's accent is real---if you live in a trailer---then this is the product for you
The new Voyagers and Gunsites have been CANCELLED because they did not meet our specifications or delivery schedule requirements. All backorders will be CANCELLED and the Voyagers will be reintroduced in Spring 2011. We will have more information on the 2011 Voyagers at a later date.
i have the second one you guys showed "the pocket machete" lol i luv it. the guy at the shop showed me his and then he threw it across the room to show me how tuff it is.
got the xl tanto voyager in the mail WICKET EDGE! cut myself like 10 times already! the only thing I dont like is the pivot screw isn't a screw, its just a rivet. lol plus I dont have meat to test my blade on haha.
i got the mediumvoyager the other day. will it stil perform just as well as the bigger versions? cause i am thinking of eventually getting a voyager large.
In terms of edge retention and sharpness, yes they will perform the same, but a bigger blade many times can do just about anything a smaller blade can do and much more, but it doesn't work the other way around.
Much of it comes down to personal preference. I personally really like the XL Voyager Tanto myself. I've been carrying it as one of my EDC for a month or so.
I have the voyager full serrated for over a year now, super strong, super sharp and is very lightweight. The handle itself is very tough, I actually dropped it hard on concrete and it chipped the concrete. I use mine for work ALL the TIME, still performs like new...I'm convinced that there is not a better knife on the planet
just got this knife today. Dam it is razor sharp!!!! Ive never had a cold steel knife , i told myself that i would only buy spyderco, but im so happy that the Voyager is my 1st CS knife!!
It all comes down to preference. Clip points are nice due to the fact that it has a belly and cuts better vs Tanto which are excellent for self defense.
vg1 blade.. I thought it is a AUS8 stonewash?

just got the large plain edge voyager and it kicks ass, why didnt cold steel review the meduim voyager?
hotbarrel49 1 year ago
Why did you guys discontinue this model? I really loved this new redesign especially since I'm Left-Handed now I can carry a Voyager for EDC.
I really loved the San Mai 3 steel and Tri-AD lock setup.
Also the steel liners was a nice touch.
Please bring this knife back, This would've been the perfect EDC blade IMO.

What is a better overall stronger folder the recon 1 clip point plain or the Voyager 4 in clip point plain?
What is the better steel VG1-stainless or AUS 8A Stainless?
What is the better handle Zytel handle or G-10?
Please message back Thanks
DaRoadWarrior 2 years ago
I'd assume under normal use, you'll be fine with both knives.
VG-1 is pricier to manufacture, but holds an edge longer than AUS-8. Thus, I'd say VG-1 is better.
G10 is pricier to work with, and I prefer it to Zytel on most occasions. Zytel is less grippy, so make of that as you will.

Great EDC knives. I switch off between a mini griptilian, kershaw leek, and a large voyager. I wish the pocket clip wasn't so stiff though.
