  • Borderlands: We have 87 billion Guns!

Dungeons of Dreadmor: We have 87 billion chesses!

    purchase latter!

  • How many levels are there in this game? im on lvl 3 right now and i just want to know how much content i can look forward to going through

  • This game needs more cheese.

  • This is my favorite game song.

  • It runs like shit on a Pentium 4 + 9500GT. I know that it's some weak hardware , but I guess it should at least handle a 2D roguelike acceptably. I get higher FPS in Crysis 2 than in this game. Hopefully a patch or something might fix it.

  • @cLick1333 might reinstall it. i got it running on a old labtop with no lag

  • this game would have been the best game ever 15 years ago :)

  • I guess the rougelike system makes multiplayer unavailable

  • I was gonna pirate it to check out what this game was, but i had a good feeling about it and just bought it straight over steam, no demo no torrent etc. - I do NOT regret doing so! Easily one of the most enjoyable roguelikes ive played in recent times. Great fun.

  • Gods, you Youtube folks really know it all, don't you? Lo and behold the eternal wisdom of some pubescent 15 year old.

this game isn't like Pokemon, it's not like friggin' Call of Duty it's A ROGUELIKE game. Next time youopen that big mouth, go read up on what you're talking about first. It's the way the world works outside of the bed room where mommy come to make your sheets while you're busy playing World of Warcraft.

  • @venerableraptor <3 that!

  • @venerableraptor i have a sudden urge to be a smart ass about the pokemon mystery dungeon games being sort of roguelike too :P

  • also why does every monster in the dungeon hate you, "i hate you so much"

  • @rand0mrem1x nothing like runescape, graphics are nothing like dofus, realmcrafter is not suited for this kind of game , roguelike games really should not be done in 3d

  • This avatar sprite needs to change, view needs to be a lot larger

  • guys you said april.... its june can you please explain this?

    lol

anyway great game looking forward to release!!!!!!

  • i like how it says realese dat april 2011 but its june 2011

  • The gameplay unfortunately isn't original enough. This is a mix between Izuna: The Unemployed Ninja and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and some flash dungeon crawlers. I mean seriously, it's hard to market yourself as 'hardcore' and original when you're a derivative clone.

  • @Renegen1 if you say that its like more then 1 game couldnt you say that its "inspired" by games of the same gameplay? i mean i bet if we looked farther back we can say that nintendo just saw gameplay from like final fantasy and just added pokemon? (not trying to be mean)

  • @SCIENTIST619 I I really don`t think inspired is the right wrong. Pokemon is inspired from Final Fantasy (and other dungeon crawler RPGs). But this game has the exact same core mechanics as the games I named. At some point, it`s not fun to play a game that feels identical.

  • @Renegen1 i see what you mean and yea i guess a genre can get boring if you play enough of them

  • nethack copy >:|

  • @daniel11111112 yes just like call of duty copied doom

    grow up

  • 1:34 is that.. is that a quake 2 tileset...

  • @rand0mrem1x Ha. Probably best! :P

  • @rand0mrem1x I'm not sure why my comment was removed (I did try to repost it, so maybe the spam filter), but indeed; while octopi is accepted, it is not technically correct.

  • @rand0mrem1x With regards to Realmcrafter Pro: We have a 3D engine developed internally for some other projects. We're just not using it for this game. (Even if we were licensing technology instead of developing our own 3D engine in the future, I don't think we'd use Realmcrafter. I'd rather use Unity.)

As for a release date: we're still working hard, when we get something more nailed down we'll keep everybody posted. Hang in there.

  • @GaslampGames udk does not get some love :( ...... Why would you choose unity3d over udk , i want to know :D its a serious question :D

  • Comment removed

  • @rand0mrem1x You might want to look up Merriam-Webster's "Ask the Editor - Octopus." Although considering your lack of proper punctuation ( isn[']t, it[']s, [']bout, and don[']t, etc. ), capitalization, and tense (the past tense of "bring" is "brought"), I would probably concern myself with other English lessons first.

  • this seriously can not come out soon enough

  • how much will this cost

  • You had me at 87 BAZILLION CHEESES.

Actually you had me at "linux", but I'll take the cheese too. :D

  • Duuuuuude, linux+roguelike+awesome graphics? I'm so there.

    Questions though:

    1) Why the crazy low view range?

2)Is it all mouse controls or can you control it with the keyboard?

  • @KameZ3r0 Thanks!

    1) It's a view radius of 7 units each way. I could make it larger; we've just never really played with it beyond what we initially set it to.

    2) The mouse controls most interaction. You can move with WASD or the arrow keys, and there are hot keys for some actions such as opening your equipment or toolbar.

  • @GaslampGames

Cool, cool. Can you at least attack with the keyboard(WASD)? Having menus for your inventory and equipment and spells and everything sounds pretty cool, but clicking every time I want to attack..... might be a little brutal.

Also wait, can you not move diagonally?

Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions though!

  • I'm going to get this, you can trust on that :)

by the by, where is the music from? and regardless, can i marry it? (or at least download it somewhere?)

  • I would play this game

  • Hey, just throwing this out there, but at 0:37 the description for the Octo should say "Octopuses" instead of "Octopi" (or at the very least - though still technically incorrect - "Octopodes")

'Cus, you know, it's important... to appease our soon-to-be cephalopod overlords.

  • @Alehkhs Fixed. We look forward to you, for one, welcoming our new cephalopod overlords.

  • @Alehkhs, someones been watching QI, haven't they? ;)

  • @Noonstance Coincidentally, the girlfriend and I have begun watching QI recently, but we're only about halfway through the "B" series.

I've simply been fanatically interested in cephalopods my whole life. in fact, as a young child I was ordered by my preschool teacher to stop talking about the giant squid, as it was evidently scaring the others. When my mother came to pick me up, she found me under a table, muttering "Giant squid, giant squid, giant squid" to myself.

    I was an interesting kid.

  • So many detail... but yet character apparence is not changed depending on what you're wearing? >.<...

  • @Radici20 We only have one artist, and he is currently on a vision quest (or he's just making coffee.) If we do a 3D title in future, we will have changing character appearances; for a 2D game where each of the hero's two thousand frames of animation must be individually redrawn for each piece of equipment, it's just not financially feasible.

  • Something has to be done about those eyebrows in the portrait... It looks like someone lost their Dove bars.

  • @ecliptic66 Maybe it's time for the Dwarven Tweezers?

  • This looks really fun. =]

  • @TipTopTimes Thanks for the kind words!

  • This has come together tremendously from the looks of it in all areas---especially those stylin' brows. Pre-order is pretty much guaranteed from me---this trailer upgrading that from "likely" to guaranteed.
