  • was it hard to but the GA16DE in this? because i wanna do the swap to and if your going from a manuel to a standard to you have to change the steering column?

  • dropping in the GA16DE was easy, you only have to slightly modify the passenger-side (US model) engine mount to fit the twin cam head. Wiring the engine was a different story. I didn't have to change the steering column, but I did have to change the accelerator pedal / accelerator cable combo.

  • I have a 90 Sentra 2 door also and they ARE fun to drive.

  • so did you plug up your coolant fittings on the turbo or did it not come with them? my T25 has them and most Saab T25s do to. I've never not run a intercooler with 8 psi maybe if it was less than 5 and you live in Tenn. I know it gets hot. even my little GT22 that only had oil lines had a intercooler.

  • you should put a SR20DET in there lol it has electronic fuel injextions and just a $30 aud pod filter can give it 40hp more

  • around $500 altogether... but several key components were given to me. I paid for the S-AFC 2, Walbro 255lph fuel pump, TSI turbo manifold, and injectors. I was given the turbocharger, piping, and BOV.

  • Pretty sweet stuff. I had a 91 I was going to turbo but some ass hit me on the freeway. Would it be possable to get some sound clips of you reving it out side the car? sounds good i wanna hear more!

  • I have a 95 GXE Sentra B14 Ga16DE turbo 370cc injectors from a 300ZX-TT. Walbro 255lph fuel pump, JWT ECU, 95 240SX MAF sensor. JWT turbo Camshaft set, JWT intercooler. JE custom Turbo Pistons,Rings,and Rods.JWT Performance pressure plate with Clutch disc. JWT Aluminum flywheel. ++++ I get 250HP at 10lbs of boost. but I run 8 lbs of boost most of the time. at230HP more or less. She is very fast! I thank your car is cool. You put a lot less money in to it than me, but you have 200HP fun! :)

  • Hey man your Sentra is great! I just resurected a 1987 sentra 2 dr coupe from the grave. I think I have it to about stock horse power now, or maybe a little over. I love the way your car is set up and wil most deffinently be a goal for my Sentra when I get some cash!

  • The turbo manifold is from TSI, you can purchase just the manifold from the company ($399) or the whole turbo kit ($1000+). I got mine off eBay, personally.

  • Thank for the reply, but if I get a street tune without a wideband ive been told that i can run it like that for a while without boostin mch!? Well the GA wires a brown(red), green, and white, if I hook up the green to the signal to one of the orange on the N60, hook up white for power, what should I do with the brown one if I hook up the N60 orange to the chassis? What im saying is i have 3 wires on GA so i figure i need to hook up all three from the MAXIMA MAF onto the 3 on the GA!? GA FTMFW!!

Do you think that I can get a decent tune without a wideband, I know you used one I saw your thread on NISSANFORUM, what kind was it? And is there a way you could explain to me how you wired up the MAF from the MAXIMA, cause I have the same one, its three orange wires how do i match them up to the white, green, and brown on the GA16?? THANK AND NICE RIDE!!

  • You will need a wideband, otherwise you'll run into severe problems. I could give you my settings, but there is no guarantee they will be right for your engine. I don't remember what brand offhand (I'm down at uni and it is back home). My N60 MAF had different colour wires, and we just used a wiring diagram to figure out what went where. The N60 has two grounds, so just ground one to the chassis and hook up the other and the green wire on the GA is signal, red/white = power?

  • Nice work =). I can just imagine the work that went into it. My CA18DET was enough for me but I have to ask, what kind of management system are you using or did you mod the ecu? Also, aren't you concerned about too much boost? What size turbo are you running? T25?

  • My management system is an A'pexi S-AFC 2 that allows you to manually control air/fuel mixture ratios. I am using in along with a Walbro 255lph fuel pump, 259cc SR20DE injectors, and a Nissan Maxima N60 MAF sensor. Nissan ran their stock turbo engines up to 8 lbs of boost without intercoolers throughout the '80s and early '90s, so I am not worried about heat soaking the engine. Before I go to over 8 lbs of boost, I'll install the intercooler. I am running the standard SR20DET T25g turbo.

  • turbo is an add-on... no GA16DE engine came with a turbo from Nissan.

  • it took two nights to install everything, run the oil lines, and tune the car. Altogether it wasn't that bad.

  • Sick bro, It spolls quick i bet. about when would you say you feel the turbo kick in/out with that T25?

  • It hits full boost at 26% throttle, so it depends on what gear I'm in. 2nd gear is about 2700 rpms, while 5th gear is instant at any rpm.
