Pryor vs Leonard!, Pryor vs Duran!, Pryor vs an undefeated Camacho!,Pryor vs Mancini!...he coulda whipped most and been competitive with all! Big time Fights that we missed out on!..and why? Hearns was too big for him, but he whipped his ass at amateur...all in all, a damn good "fighter" who didn't get the chances he deserved! I think they figured, "High Risk, Low Reward"...Alexis Arguello gets big respect for giving Pryor a little just due anyway.

Strange fight. Especially the way he crosses himself looking at the ref like that at the end.

If you watch the fights with Furlano and Hinton, it's obvious that Pryor was never the same after the Arguello fights, drugs or no drugs. He had lost his snap and some reflexes. Hard to tell how coked out Pryor was in training (during?) this fight with Young, but he wasn't the same fighter. Another mistake was not getting to 140, and fighting a good fighter for his comeback.

Kid Pambele (who was about 74 when Pryor beat him) and Featherweight Arguello are the only names on Pryor's resume. As a pro, without the magic bottle and the lines of charlie, Pryor gets beat by Duran, SRL, and Tommy. He does not sit a the very top table.

Reminds me a lot of Tyson in the sense that the Legend is bigger than the actual achievement.

There should have been 2 separate counts; ref continued the (first) count after Aaaon got up but that's when the count should have stopped. A second count should have started only when Pryor went to the knee.
