They opened up for the Cure in Los Angeles 1989, at Dodger stadium. They we're kinda interesting. I do remember the lead singer who took a terrible tumble on stage. I think she got to much sun. It was a hot day in the desert enviornment.
They have to be one of the best things to come out of that decade by a country mile. I saw them just 3 times in little theatres in London when they had the people painting on stage. Caroline was like an angel in crushed velvet. Swooooon....
I've been waiting patiently for someone to unearth videos from one of the most fantastic bands I ever discovered in high school! Wonderful to hear and see this again!
I was the original violinist. 1984/5 we were all trying to escape a certain degree of squalor - Jemaur, Caroline and I lived in rather dreary bedsits in Sutherland Avenue, Maida Vale, London. The eccentric Shellyan world which J+C had created for themselves (which included hand made 19th century clothes) offered fun, color, and mystery to all our lives. We bicycled around North London together in a kind of dream. I have fond memories of our friendship over several years - where are they now ?
They then moved to Muswell Hill - then Caroline moved to Bath - she has a daughter, Inka - about 8 years old now I think. I miss my lovely friend Caroline - she was witness at my wedding in 1988. We've lost touch, despite my attempts to contact her. :'(
I was their music agent for a while. I loved them then - I love them still.

Hey guys, if you like shelleyan orphan, check out Imogen Heap, singing 'just for now' live, similar style, she's great!
