@Cyclops236 Looks like the way Youtube's player handles quality of lower-resolution video has changed since I uploaded this. I encoded it in 320x240 size and it looked halfway decent originally. The quality is poor anyway because the recording was from a mediocre OTA signal. Maybe recapturing and uploading it would result in better quality!
Very pisspoor quality. National Nine News in Australia were quick to move away from the original ABC News Globe by making a much better globe by 1994. Now they don't have a globe.
"ALIENS IN THE FAMILY", 'lily', was a VERY brief series (as was "MUPPETS TONIGHT") produced by Jim Henson's company- it eventually wound up on ABC's Saturday morning schedule in the summer of '96.
Here in NE Ohio at that time, we didn't have ABC News Briefs in between shows. Rather, we had local news updates from our station WEWS News Channel 5.
Mark Mullen was the World News Now anchor by this period. Newman had already finished with his run on "World News Now" and was doing other work at the network including "GMA: Sunday."
About 18-months later, his star would reach its peak at the network for his cool handling of the death of Princess Diana, ultimately leading to his disasterously-short run as co-anchor of "Good Morning America."
I love the way Bill Rice says "Newman."
