  • who`s the dame 30 in

  • It's recently struck how relatively dull Herman Wedemyer's picture is, compared his two predecessors'. Zulu is storming a gangplank with a rifle, Al Harrington is leaving over a fence and caught mid-run, but what is Deke doing? Pulling down a pair of binoculars and talking on a walkie-talkie.

  • Great Tv Serie.God bless Jack Lord.

  • JUST THE BEST ERA FOR TV THEMES!!..MIAMI VICE..SIX M DOLLER MAN..LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE!!

  • Amazing, sounds as good today as it did all those years ago.

  • Japanese pop group Pizzicato 5 uses part of the theme song in their song called Twiggy Twiggy vs James Bond

  • Book-um Dan-o

  • Well the greatest theme song is Gilligan's Island but this is very cool too.

  • Superb theme - Rest in Peace Danno.

  • The correct theme cannot be found anywhere except on the TV show.

  • Now who is going to "book em"?

  • YES...RIP dan-0

  • R.I.P James MacArthur A.K.A Danno

  • Book 'em Danno for the final time.

    R.I.P.

  • R.I.P Jack Lord Zulu and Kam Fong

  • Face it, Jack Lord was the coolest cop ever on tv. 5-0 rocked!! Screw csi, 5-0 rules!!!

  • Friggin Classic I used to beg my parents to stay up and watch the show..WILL NOT WATC H THE NEW HAWAII 5-O whats next a CHIPS remake

  • @letsgosfgiants10 The new one is actually pretty good. You should give it a try.

  • Badass. That's all I can say.

  • esto223 . I agree with you absolutely

  • why are they gonna make a remake of a classic series like this wont be the same

  • book him Dano....

  • Zulu, as Kono! Wiki wiki!

  • kamfong theme song

  • Wow!! great song, also loved the series.. as good as northern exposure..

  • During its 12 year run, Hawaii Five-0 was on every weekday night. It never ran on Saturday or Sunday.

  • GREATEST TV THEME SONG EVER! Great show! Never missed it. My first crush was on Jack Lord.

  • good times!

  • I always liked "Hawaii Five-O" because it was the only "cop" show with a recuring enemy ("Wo-Fat") and every other week our heroes were fighting to prevent the spread of some plague! ("the-disease-of-the-week")

    Top that "Adam-12!"

  • i didnt like this show to much however i loved the song since we only had one tv.

  • My early-mid 70s childhood revisited, huddled up by the tv with my parents on a Saturday evening. Bring back those grand ol' days.

  • I remember very well that Hawaii Five-O was on Tuesday nights at 10:00 Eastern on CBS.

My Tuesday nights were spent watching Barnaby Jones, Cannon & Hawaii Five-O. Yes, I still got up for school the next day.

  • Mna i remember watching this as a kid and was infatuated with the chick shakin her hips at 37 secs!

  • book him dano murder one

  • That takes me back soooooo many years

  • Stereo my arse.. that's mono with a bit of stereo chorus added!

  • gawhh man, I remember those days.

  • I think Jack Lord and Gov Rick Perry must be related...

  • I saw this series when I was young and I always went to Makcik Sumi house to see this popular series cause my parents can't effort to buy a television in the 70's era.

  • Wasn't Jack Lord born in New York City, of Irish descent?

  • jack lord of irish decent is this correct dude .wasent aware of this

  • The lead guitarist, Bob Bogle, just passed away yesterday at the age of 75. I've had this tune in my head since I seen the report.

RIP. Condolences to friends and family.

  • Oh no! soo sad end of an era

  • ...and ginHo as Chang Ho

  • John Joseph Patrick Ryan !!

  • this is legendary

  • I heard somewhere recently that when the camera pans in the seashore to the high-rise hotel, apartment, whatever, that guy standing there is not jJack Lord, it was a stand in or some footage from another tv show they borrowed, then had Jack turn around.

  • yes it is not jack lord... pause it at :18

  • The Safari's did Wipe Out, but no one can dispute the talent of Mel Taylor. He was the best drummer till Keith Moon.

  • If you watched each and every season of Five-O thoroughly, then you'll notice that the theme tune arrangement DID changed quite a lot. It changed in 1969, 1971, 1972, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, and 1979. The theme tune arrangement from the original broadcast of the pilot was slightly longer and different as well. So there were a total of 10 different theme tune variations of the Five-O theme song.

  • so.. were are all those records???

  • the ventures .....same ones that did wipe out ..awesome instrumental

  • Actually the theme song was Mort Stevens, the Ventures are best known for having the best imitation. Wipe out was the Sufaris, I think.

  • sorry, safaris

  • I sure would like to see Hawaii 5.0 Bloopers. Now,that would really look....funny!!!!!

  • My mother almost gave birth to my younger sister at home, because she went into labor as this was coming on, and she refused to go to the hospital until the ep went off.

  • one of my favorite shows!

  • I love it too! It comes on at 2 pm here, if I remember, I'll turn to it just to hear it.

  • omg. i love the song.

    its amazing.

  • It's instrumental theme music for Hawaii 5-0, not a song!!!

  • psh whatever! i still luh-ve it!

  • Book 'em Danno!

    Yeah!

    Thanks!

  • Hey, that's Tahitian dancing not Hawaiian Hula.

  • So what. I see lots of Tahitian dancing in Hawaii. What's your point?

  • The point is that those NOT in Hawaii probably think it's hula.

  • quite possibly the greatest theme song in the history of television.

    Without question......

  • I was humming this 70's tune to myself at work...and my coworker was like..."what the hell is that" ...so I had to search and find this so he'd know I wasn't completely crazy. Just Half.

  • That's what - trumpets? Or trombones?

I don't know musical instruments well.

I think it'd be cool to see the dudes playing it in the '70's garb - very cool.

  • quite possibly the greatest theme song in the history of television.

  • @esto223 i agree and like to ad: The Persuaders....

  • @esto223 So true! :)

  • @esto223 Star Trek, What's Happening, Gilligan's Island, Quincy, I Dream of Jeanie... H50 theme is fine, but there are better, more inventive, and more memorable themes, dude.

  • @esto223 futurama and buck rodgers are at least x10 better, but it's still prettty cool

  • @esto223 : No, not quite possibly, IS the greatest theme song in the history of television! EVER!!

  • I do this song in pep band

  • da da da da dada cant get it outta my head

  • gooooooooooooooooooooooood sound

  • Your Stereo Sound....Sound's Great !!!

  • Awesome song Bruddah!

  • unforgettable..

  • Jack Lord [rip], was once voted the best looking man in the world

  • I can see why! Jack Lord was absolutely beautiful, in my opinion.

  • I agree with you, debbie60435.

    :)

  • Whatever happened to Kam Fong and Zulu? We watched it here in Australia. I remember watching it as a kid too. Great intro, ahead of its time. Who did the filming?

  • They are both deceased,I believe.

  • The title sequence was done by Reza Badiyi, I believe.

  • beautitful in stereo!

  • Wow! Sounds spectacular in stereo! Cool!

  • Que este mas macho? Jack Lord or Telly Savalas?

  • I'd say Jack Lord, lol.

  • wowow great sound.
