  • Phantasy Star music?

  • Awesome Build! How Heavy Do You think it is with the MDF? im debating on whether to use plywood or MDF (Worried About Weight For Being Able To Move It Around)

  • Great soundtrack what game is that from?

  • @markit8dude1 It's from Double Dragon.

  • would you mind giving me the plans for this?

  • @dumbdude007 dont have any plans or the bartop. I just make this shit up in my head then draw it on mdf and gooooo!!!! try making it yourself it means more.

  • What ever happened to this one?

  • @Mysteriozone a friend has it

  • mad props! freakin bad ass! Hook me up with your plans. :D

  • Nice job!

  • @circle2land thank you

  • Very nice, looks a lot sexier than mine, but being an Amiga Mini Cab' it had to be more box shaped to accomidate the board.

  • o man this music make me cry double dragon was my favorite game then 6-8 years old.

  • what song is this?

  • @holysynner it's from the double dragon arcade game.

  • its from double dragon arcade....o man when i was 7-8 years old i was playing this game only to hear the music at the final boss :)

  • How much did this project cost you? BTW. There is a vinyl you can buy to coat these bad boy's with that works great for this type of project. But I cannot remember where I saw it.

  • I would have a coctail mame I already ave a coctail and sit one if these on top of it then gave a big one next to it lol

  • +1 for the double dragon music

  • I have the uncontrollable urge to play Double Dragon for some reason.

  • You should wear a respirator!

Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) is known to cause nasal cancer or some sort cancer...

Just a heads up I guess...

  • yeah I know sometimes I have it on.. sometime I'm dumb and lazy

  • When is part 2 comming??

I can't wait to see the final result. Great job man:)

  • I don't know myself... I gave it to a friend and he never finished it. Words of advice don't get into this hobby if your not looking to spend money. I gave him that arcade for free all he had to do was buy a computer and a 17inch lcd.

  • A man that really sucks:( I was hoping to see it finished. I am sorry to hear that, some ppl just don't understand how much effort is put into make a cab like that.

True a "minimal" amount of money needs to be invested, even so it does not need to cost a whole lot. A computer and a screen can be picked up for nearly next to nothing..

myself I recycle old pcs and screens:)

Keep up the good work man, I'll apreciate all your efforts of making good mame cabinets:)

  • thanks alot I appreciate the good words. Not sure if you watched my Mk3 mame build, but if not check it out. That cabinet came out looking like a dedicated one from midway.

  • Dude, I have watched it and it was amazing:) I guess it's safe to say that you and howrong13 and your mame man have inspired me to build my own machine.. I'll post some clips of it soon..

Also the mini mame mk3 cp was pretty neat:)

    Good stuff

  • awesome. let me know when you put up your videos.

  • Dude I will let you know..

I plan to add a slideshow of the build in a couple of days:)

  • That's awesome. =)

  • thank you

  • yo nice cab, ive built 1 similar out of mdf too, just wondered if you were happy with the finish you got with it as im not over the moon and would like to build a better 1 made of oak or something not sure which timber would give best results??

  • if your going to paint mdf is the way to go, but you must still prime and sand and paint and sand an least two coats each to be happy. If you want a natural look no paint then go with wood.

  • You may want to have a look at my finished cab... got it sprayed by professonal.. I am very happy with the finish

  • whats this music from? im guessing its double dragon but im not sure

  • yes Double Dragon quite addicting

  • That was awesome. I'm actually making my own mame machine tomorrow, so now I'm fired up!

  • good luck.. have fun and take your time. watch my videos for tips, and ask me questions. I check youtube a couple times day.

  • love me some double dragon :)

  • haha the songs are classic

  • do you think it would be a better idea to make a bartop then a full sized machine?

  • depends on you. how much room do you have?, what size screen do you want? the bartop was musch easier then the full size, but it isnt really that small its 29.5 inches high and about 21 wide and 21 deep, it will be able to house a gateway 19 inch monitor. If you have questions just ask, and I will help you help.

  • well, i'm not limited on space. I just don't want it to cost to much money

  • do you have any of the supplies to build the arcade yet

  • Yea, I have a computer.

  • and a monitor, I want to get an x arcade stick to make setup easy but i will probably end up switching out all of the buttons anyways.

  • you can do that just make sure the 20" inner width for the small cab, and 23 3/4" for the large one is enoungh for the x arcade to sit in.

  • alright cool

  • great video, any reason you bought a full hotrod over just buying the parts / ipaq buttons and joysticks

  • Thanks alot. I was originally going to keep this for myself, but my friend Derek wanted a cabinet so after I built it and realized I was about to have three arcades in my house I asked him if he wanted it. He had a hotrod cp for about a year already so instead of me buying joys, buttons, and a i-pac again I just swapped his hotrod over. This weekend im going to build myself one I really liked the mini mame and miss it already. check out my other videos.
