Disagree with everything they're teaching, but I do agree that as many people as possible should try to take their children out of public school! The state shouldn't have any control in the home. I took my kids out and homeschool!!!! Who should brainwash my child, the state or me? I'm the parent. Once again, I'm not LDS, I'm just against the state.

@clittle10301 homeschooling is irresponsible. i was homeschooled for a year and I did absolutely no homework or learning. when I was returned to public school I immediately started failing most of my classes. I am a straight A student. 3.86 GPA in biomedical engineering. homeschooling is a crime against nature.

@trufuknplaya Sounds like you're just bitter b/c you didn't get a good education in homeschool. I shouldn't have to explain this at all, but I'm educated and my children are average learners, but FAR above the other children their age. My 2nd grader can read better then most 6th graders in public school and his state mandated test scores prove it.. Don't say its a crime just b/c you had a bad experience.

It is not just a "few ex-members". Time and time again, there have been hundreds of cases like this. Read the FLDS doctrine and look at what is happening in these polygamous communities which shouldn't even be allowed to exist. I think this makes a good case for limiting religious freedom... all its ever done is cause trouble and create division. Thses groups should be banned like how China would do in a heartbeat!
