Ok...I reeaaaaally need to ask this. I have played all the strongholds, and have watched gameplay videos, and in all those videos the player always selects the enemy...My question...Why are you selecting the enemy? To see the health or does it concentrate your troops on those enemies? And truly, If it is the latter one I have never heard of that before, but if that is the case I should probably do that more often XD lolz.

I've got one question...I installed Stronghold 2 and then installed patch v1.4.When I want launch the game it shows me an error.IT tells : This application has failed to start because d3dx9_27.dll was not found.Re-installing the application may fix this problem.I re installed twice but again same error.Can anybody help me with this pls ??I wanna play Stronghold 2 with newer version...

here is a good way to kill the king,let the other 2 attack the king, some minutes later the hawk will attack the troops at your side of the map and open the gates for you, after that send you >MACEMAN<!! into the field, wait untill the hammer and the hawk destroy the big gate of the king and then send your maceman to the king and kill him, there you go! ;-)

If you just can't do it, there is an extremely cheap method that hasn't failed me yet. If you let your allies fight on their own for a while, the Hawk will likely end up stationing a soldier or two on the gatehouse, opening it to you. Trigger or destroy his burning logs and run your knights in, trailing the other two armies. If you move your knights in after the armies have cleared the traps, but before they reach the king, your knights can easily dispatch the king first.
