  • Wow you're great!!! Loved the origami swans the best. Did you make them yourself?

  • wow! this is some impressive stuff, you've gotten really good! I especially liked the bath with toxic bubbles. haha

  • Wow! Really creative creatures!

  • sweet u need way more than 79 views

  • awesome!! these really made me laugh!

  • that was really really cool and creative. you are very inspiring, and i love how you did the flames on that one guy, it worked great. btw, you might not want to do 30 fps. cuz the film/movie/animation industry only use 24 fps. and if you are thinking of actually going into the real world and getting a job as an animator. you are going to have to be very familiar with 24 fps. so i suggest to drop 30 fps, and go with the standard. wait, have i already told you this before? haha i told somebody lol

  • @potatoes63 You know usually I will, but just to secure my grade I'm gonna go for 30 fps, after I get an A I'll return to normal 24 fps

Cos I think it kinda does compensate for my own flaws as an animator

  • @finbomartini oh... well... do what you want i guess. i dont usually like taking the easy way out of things that mean a lot to me.

  • @potatoes63 Well it's no easier, the difficulty I would say equates to 24 fps it's just the product seems smoother - so I'm thinking that seeing as they require the same amount of effort, although one extends animation time slightly, and the fruit of one is superior to the other, why not choose to animate at a higher frame rate?

Besides when it comes to getting grades and amassing academic accolades my principles pretty much go out of the window

  • @finbomartini its just useless to practice with 30fps if you are never going to need it when you are in the movie business. also, the whole challenge is to get 24 fps to look really smooth. just look at wallace and gromit, or fantastic mr. fox, those are 24 fps and they are smooth as butter

  • @potatoes63 o.0 I'm not practicing with it that's the point, I'm using it to increase production value so I get an A - I'm just doing these so I get the knack for it and it's not completely alien to me when I begin animating in the summer. 24fps is easy to learn and the small movements that 30 fps requires will encourage subtler animation at 24, so I'll be animating smoother. I'll have worked at a higher framerate which can only increase my proficiency and knowledge of the craft

  • @potatoes63 As it makes you realise how important framerate is, and how important it is to make small, small movements. I always knew that but this really makes you think about it. I think my proficiency when it comes to animation has only increased after experimenting with this.

And until I have the skill to achieve this sort of standard that I'm reaching with 30fps using 24fps, I'm not goin to use 24fps for my exams. Maybe in my spare time, but I want to ensure I do well.

  • @finbomartini i understand completely what your saying, but all im saying is that it is a very good thing to be very very familiar with 24 fps.

  • @potatoes63 Also it encourages patience, so when I return to a lower frame rate it's gonna seem a breeze, the extra 6 fps a second really does stretch out the time. I can't wait to animate in the summer once school's out XD

  • wo, very cool. Fantastic Animation!

  • Excellent work! How many frames per second was this?

  • @ClaymationCenter Ah! I'm glad you asked that - I upped the frame count to 30, I thought fuck it, if I'm gonna animate I may as well just go all out. It requires much smaller movements, and it's a steep learning curve after 24! But seriously worth it, I know these aren't much to look at but I'm testing myself and I feel more capable after completing them. Out of curiosity - do you think the flames worked?

  • @finbomartini: Of coarse they worked. That was cool. I wish I could do the same.

  • @ClaymationCenter It's easy! Draw out 8 seperate flames, changed slightly from the last, cut them out and colour them in. The animating is easy because all it is is replacing - you should try it.

  • @finbomartini i think the flames were great! :) i'm impressed good job

  • I loved the begining short, very neat

  • great stuff, the biscuit one was the best

  • That was Great! I really enjoyed watching.

  • very smooth

  • Pretty awesome!

  • that was really good! very smooth!
