  • Why do these sound like rice rockets?

  • I think v8's sound way better

  • Nice thong sandals...

  • Anchortrap says "powerful and pretty" better check yourself on calling people fags

  • Whats sad is this douche bag owns a powerful and pretty truck and it serves no practical worth or value to him. Sandal wearing, tea sipping faggot!

  • why does it sound like a rice pipe?

  • sounds like stock to me

  • @berhorst59- the spark plug issue was only on the early 6.8. I believe in 04 they fixed it and have not had an issue since.

  • The 6.4 and the new 6.7 are good engines, The bad engine is the 6.0 that followed the 7.3. Ford and Navistat still at odds over that one, still in the courts. Thats why the 6.7 is a Ford, not Navistar designed engine

  • The problem with the V10, and all the 2 valve Triton engines is they blow spark plugs out of the heads. Problem is so common that Ford cut the warranty on the Triton 2V heads to 30K miles. The thread holes aren't deep enough, plus the heads are aluminum, so you can't tighten the plugs very tight. The engine (V10) is a powerful engine and not so bad MPG, just the heads are the deal breaker

  • V10s are way powerful but if I were do get a 250 or up I'd get a diesel just cause they do pull more and it makes more sense.. It's like driving a 450 in gas that's retarded.

  • I see feet.

  • @JKBradV10 LOVE the sound of it. Nice truck.

  • JKBradV10 LOVE the sound of it. Nice truck.

  • Um.. Nope.. They're badass.. Check out my vid.. 136mph 6.4

  • @Hammett43

Not everyone wants a 6.4 liter Turbo Diesel engine, although I agree you can get better fuel economy and more power diesel engines do cost more. Not only to buy but also to fix.

  • i had a 99 f250 w v10 and i had banks, crerry bombs, even straight pipe, it doesnt matter what you do to them they never sound good.

  • easily the weakest sounding system ive heard on a truck

  • Wow, sounds like a v6.

  • @DasKetzer yep, a screaming bloody murder v6 with the right exhaust setup

  • @ Hammet43, why the V10? I'd say the way quicker throttle response (no turbo lag, lighter internals) and at least 6k cheaper. with diesel often more expensive than gas, that's an awful lot of miles to get even

  • and whats a drone?

  • how big inches wise?

  • sounds like a god damn viper...

  • should listen to it with no Catalytic converter

  • sounds like a 4.2l v6

  • sounds like a dam 6 cylinder

  • In all this diesel VS. V10 debate, people fail to mention that the diesel option is at least 6 grand more out of the 'ol pocket book. That being said, I'm a diesel man all the way. And BTW, the new clean diesels suck. Our trucks at work have the 6.4 and average about 7-8 mpg. What confuses me is, they want to clean up the air so they make the clean diesel. But the new diesels get crap mileage. So if you have to fill up 2x as often, is the air & our atmosphere really better off?! Stupid Govt regs

  • @nickmaurus You got that right buddy. :) The gov't ultimately wants to bankrupt our country by doing things like this all the regulations and stuff. What a bunch of BS. The next president in office needs to cut the EPA'S funding wayyyy back and that'll be a start in the right direction even though I think we might be past the point of no return. :(

  • @nickmaurus thats why you slap on a dpf delete and an egr delete and say fuck off to al gore.

  • @nickmaurus The exhaust that comes out of the new diesels is almost cleaner than the air around it... so essentially they're making the air cleaner at a faster rate!

  • sounds like a turd to me... crappy vid

  • wow a v10 rice burner lmao

  • My 4.7 tundra sounds better than that. Sounds stock

  • @scooterpimp69 your tundra is a toyota. Therfore, it is a piece of shit.

  • @scooterpimp69 and it turns out your toyota is gay

  • Why does all the video's record the vehicle idling for a year before reving it.

just cut the boring stuff out!

  • sounds ricey

  • yikes, i thought banks made aggressive sounding exhaust. i'll stick with Cherry Bomb Glasspacks

  • toyota is talking about makeing tundra cat diesel

  • it's more hino diesel

  • @jamesoftexas i dont think toyota is planning on doing anything right now except trying not to be the next GM or chrysler

  • sounds like 4 banger wtf 7.3 all the way

  • yeah i was thinking some little ass whole put a video on here of their ricer

  • I did... and btw you ment asshole not ass whole...

  • yeah thanks its a bad habbit

  • Like smoking

  • the sound is a lil too tame for me but the tip looks nice as hell!!!!

  • the 6.4 have a lot of problems with them too and it all depends on what your using it for

  • no its the 6.0 powerstroke they had problems with

  • I love banks exhausts they sound so crisp.

  • sounds like a tuner to me... i wouldnt get the banks.. i thought about it but then i decided flowmaster. and if you check my video out... mine louder then this and sounds like a "monster exhaust" ahaha but i can honistly say it looks good

  • i just responded to this comment like you and our numbers for the engine options were slightly different, so i had to go to Fords website and check it out myself just to see...

    the V-10 is a $695.00 dollar option

the diesel is a $9,325 dollar option

    DANG!!

If your reading Hammett43, thats why he got the V10 over the Diesel....

  • All I can say is... Why!!??..... There's the 6.4 option sitting there and you say," I want the v10 please".. Why!!??... 6.4= more power, better mpg, better resale, and you'll save a couple of penguins while you're at it..

  • the V-10 is a $800.00 option over the 5.4

    the 6.4 is a $8,000.00 option over the 5.4

some people don't use there pickups as every day drivers, probably like this guy, and only drives about 6,000 miles a year using their truck for what its meant to do.. haul.

This thing can tow pretty respectable numbers, is a work horse, can last forever and MOST importantly is $7,200 less than the Powerstroke. For some that extra 7K just isnt worth it then this engine can do what they need it too.

    ya know?

  • because the v10 is a far better motor than that POS 6.4 international, and its alot cheaper by a FEW thousand dollars, and if he needs to tow some decent sized stuff the v10 will handle it, hell my grandads 5.43v f250 pulls our 22k pound no problem

  • actually the 6.4 isn't an international the 7.3 was but you are right the 6.0 and the 6.4 suck ford should have stayed with the 7.3 but just sayin international makes fairly good engine they need to get detroit or cat to make an engine for em that'd be sweet

  • umm..yes it is. international (navistar) has made everything from the old 6.9 back in the 80's

  • @f150man55 navistar is just the computer system used.

  • um...no

the corporation is named, Navistar International Corporation. Changed from the name, International Harvester Company.

  • the 7.3 couldnt pass the emissions back then, and couldnt keep up with the 5.9 CTD nor the 6.6 DTD. and the detroit diesel sucks too. do you not remember the 6.2 and 6.5 diesels GM used in the 90's? those were worthless

  • hell yeah there were crappy they pull the spark plug of the gaser and put injector instead nut noise all the time...

  • dude 6.4s dont suck theyre the best engine ford has for theyre superdutys and theyre made by navistar not international

  • @kawifan91 Navistar is a branch/brand of international

  • o ok my bad i didnt know that

  • lmao

  • There is a drone around the 1400-2800 RPM range. It's annoying. On the highway, above 65 MPH, it's pretty quiet.

This engine costs less to buy and less to maintain. A late model 6.4 PSD gets about the same MPG, a little better when towing. I tow a 22 ft boat, so real heavy towinf isn't an issue for me.

I think I'm going to replace the muffler on this sytem. Just too much drone.

  • yah it seems like it drones like a biiiatch. I have a subwoofer in my room and its just rattling

  • @JKBradV10 Sorry man, but a diesel will always get better MPG due to less revolutions of the engine when compared to a gasser. Also diesels will usually, with a couple exceptions, do better at towing. Diesels have much more torque than gas.

The V10's are monsters though! :)

  • @miller45103 My friend.. Its not due to less revolutions, thats not always the case. Diesels are simply more efficient, in addition disel fuel is more energy dense. So they actually use down to HALF of what a gas engine consumes. Even if diesel costs a dollar more it aint twice the price, so the extra cost at purchase will be worth it in the long run. I live in Norway, diesel is cheaper than gas here so its the only thing I consider for daily transport. A gas V8 van in commercial use, not here.

  • @KapteinOpel Diesel is more efficient due to both less revolutions of the engine in comparison with gas and as you said, more "energy dense", but all of the diesel's that I have had run MUCH slower than a comparable gas engine. EX.. (At Idle) 6.8L Triton V10 (612RPM) to a 6.7L Powerstroke (320RPM)

  • @miller45103 Thats right. They dont necessarily have more torque, but they reach max torque at a much lower rpm and are not able to rev that high. Of this reason theres often a higher ratio in the final drive, but if it wasnt it would still use less. MUCH less. But I think the idle on your powerstroke was set too low, should be abt the same as a gas...

  • @Hammett43 the new 6.4's aren't all that great they get 9 mpg this V10 probably gets 12 my 5.4 gets 14.5 and i have a chip cold air and true dual exhaust... the new 6.7 psd should get better mpg in the 2011 super duty atleast that's what ford is claiming

  • @Hammett43 Also if he every wanted to go mudding in the truck a diesel is a lo tmore wieght than the v10

  • @Hammett43 6.4= higher cost, less power and the same MPGs

  • @bill11012 Your wrong, more power, and when you take the DPF off, more MPGS

  • And you get a voided warrenty for removing the DPF. You can't just pull the DPF and call it good, the pcm needs to be reflashed with a DPF delete tune. The 6.4l makes lots of power but if you want an engine that is still powerful, costs less up front and isn't in the shop all the time the 6.8l is where its at.

  • @sdvten It took us a half day to remove the DPF and weld in a new exaust, the other half we used to reflash the PCM(If you have a laptop, its free or very inexpensive). Out 6.4 F550 has never been in the shop more, unless we were upgrading it.

  • @bill11012 explain to me how the v10 makes more power than the 6.4 diesel?

  • @bballman345 Well, last time I checked 362HP is more power than 350HP.

  • @bill11012 yeah but look at the torque numbers. Peak horsepower, especially a 12 horse difference, isnt that much when the torque difference is almost 200 ft lbs. That diesel would tow way more than the v10 and the power potential is off the charts compared to v10. the power curve on a v10 is sad compared to a typical big v8 and diesel as well. Its not all about peak horsepower....

  • @Hammett43 not all people need the diesel power and there alot to maintain. plus in some areas diesel is almost a dollar more than gas per gallon so it defeats the better mpg purpose.

  • @Hammett43 I traded my V-10 for the 6.4,,,,what a mistake!! The v-10 had more power, alot more power.

  • @Hammett43 dude i love fords... but the 6.4s were a piece of shit

  • @Hammett43 the 6.4 is a terrible diesel, they had more recalls on that than any powerstroke! worse fuel economy and injector problems.. the 6.8 for this year is the better choice

  • @haydn44rutledge 6.8 not an option this option this year i think you mean 6.7 aka Scorpion

  • @Hammett43 Cuz the twin turboed 6.4 is a steeming bowl of elephant piss...the most unreliable diesel known to man...

  • @Hammett43 i tow upwards of 16 tons with a 99 450 with a v10. no problem. the diesels are cock substitutes. besides the v10 has a giant power band from 1500 to 5000 rpm. the diesel dosent pull much better

  • @fatharmonix You tow over 32,000 lbs with your V10? At legal speed limits? I would love to see that. The diesels are much better for towing, otherwise people wouldnt be buying them to tow their travel trailers and semi trucks wouldnt be using them for decades now. And i would argue the V10 is more of a cock substitute. TEN cylinders? I would take a cummins with 6 and tow circles around your big v10. If anything go with a ford or chevy big block V8, they have better low end than the rev happy v10

  • @BLWN454 yeah iv pulled a stumps staring at 900 rpm. dont ever say a v10 dont have low end torque. of the era, a 7.3 would be very nice but the v10 is severely underrated

  • @fatharmonix youve pulled stumps with your truck? No way!!! How did your huge 4 ton truck manage to pull a stump out of the ground?!?! Im used to putting my big block in gear and pulling them out at idle but hey 900 rpms works too.

  • @fatharmonix take a look at the V10 in my video, I couldn't agree more

  • @Hammett43 cause a 6.8 can run over a 6.4

  • @Hammett43 ive driven both and stock on both, the power is very similar its just comes a little sooner in the diesel and with all the emmisions choking bullshit on the diesel the mileage is also very similar and idk if you noticed but diesel is much more expensive

  • Do you have any drone cruising on the highway? or with a load?
