My Son played that guitar! Dykes was doing a show for Taylor Guitars in Va. and when he was done he invited everyone to come up and try out all the Taylors that were on display all across the stage. Well, he set his guitar down next to all the others and my son, not realizing it was his picked it up and began to play it! All I can say is, Dykes was less than Christian about the whole thing and made my son feel like crap. SCHMUCK!

im sorry but im not that musically talented, i can recognize good music, but i cant hear it and immediately know how to play it. i need sheet music to read off of.

to be fair it really is a dificult peice, but i just mean, why not teach yourself to do it by ear? in the long run its considerably better. if someone were to ask you to just improvise with them what would you do, ask for some sheet music?

you know i fully see your point but im not am expert guitar player as is (which in your defense, you didnt know that)and i wanted to play this because i like to pick songs out of my ability and learn to play them. i have only been playing guitar for about 4 months. like i said i completely agree witgh your advice, but as a novice im prolly going to use sheet music. once again i think ur absolutely right and i hope to learn that one day and i realize there was no way for u to know i was a novice.

ah, allright then. the people that annoy me are the ones that have been playing for 10 years off tabs and have no sence of timing. even the people i jam with sometimes, they have no sence of timing because they just play it off the sheet instead of out of feeling and improvisation. either way.. if you want to learn some still dificult, but much easyer picking songs, you might want to look up Doc Watson.

yeah i know what u mean, i have been playing flute for 6 years now and i know ppl who have been playing for longer and cant play with out sheet music 24/7, they cant even improv a bit
