@thesonicmaster2 simply because Ryu and Hayate are rivals :-) I was hoping in the next Ninja Gaiden, Hayate and Kasumi would join Ryu, Ayane, Rachel and the girl with the naginata. It would have been so bad ass. But with Itagaki gone, it may not happen :-(

Hayate and Ein is the same person, Hayate was taken by the DOA company to experiment on him which in result caused the amnesia, he was taken by Hitomi's father and train the karate style, in Doa2 his ending he realized he is Hayate and he is a ninja
