Oh hello! Have you ever tried the British Box Breakout (do a google search)? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my father earned tons of money.
Having multiple screens is because he/her wants to choose a counter that has lowest risk, highest profit potential, earliest possible, by spotting a reversal signal, in multiple time frame, before others do. Remember, we have only 2 eyes, but we choose what we need. Level 2 is to reconfirm which time frame of traders are in charge, using which support and resistance, such as MA10 or 20, etc...
Sign up Scottrade and choose refer by a friend, if u type this code in SXLB3464, you and I both get $50(Usually $21 but I have a ScottElite account)...good luck trading.
He is not stupid, u are stupid without knowing it, because you think he is trying to impress you? If you are a trader, then u are stupid, if u are not, u think u know everything.
@traderbob11 Haha.. It's addictive, however.. It can give you a heart attack if you don't know what you're doing.. Another note to consider.. If you wana be a trader.. Don't marry a woman who wants constant attention 24/7 and is constantly giving you crap about stupid shit.
@7sevo7 Boring is not the word ..it is terribly boring but u do it because of the people who need extra funds and hard working business people who just need a hand up not a hand out. ...twiiter...Benblackstone
@aonutube Don't let your lack of understanding prevent you from being an ass. In this market, any long-term position carries a lot of risk. Day trading does not come without it's own risks, but they can be properly managed with a disciplined and informed approach. The days when you could invest only in blue chips and expect to live off of the dividends are coming to an end. The government and the Fed can't keep the stimulus/bailout ball rolling forever. Soon "too-big-to-fail" will be a memory.
Who the hell cares if nine screens is overkill and for loosers, atleast it looks damn amazing! But yeah, this is a game you play as you want, don't listen too much on others, do whatever that floats your boat.
This setup could have its uses, if he blew up the charts to fill the screens. After a certian point it becomes noise. However if he is trading off of a momentum tracking then having charts for many companies in a sector is a good idea. Hard to tell from his vid exactly what he was trying to do. For aspiring traders this is a waste of money and kills profits. Learn to trade by focusing on one sector etf of one stock.
If you have to look at that many montiors your in trouble, would wrather just look at maybe a handfull and use a couple of screeners to see whats in play for the day
@BUYFIXSELL If you need any program to tell you what's in play, you're already too late. But thanks for helping to keeping it near resistance while I unload it!
@FatFred2U dont get me wrong. It looks cool, just over kill. I have 2 24" monitors would like a 3rd but not 10. I like screeners for gap downs, volume surges etc. I deffently do my homework the night b4. check out ticker sprd on 6/28. Thats what scanners do for me. I have my usual watchlist but if your looking at 50 different stocks i just feel that you cant really watch everything. i dont think you unloading anything that I'm trading lol..
@BUYFIXSELL I's jus foolin wit ya. I agree too many screens can hurt more than help tho. I have 3 screens (1x22" wide, 2x17" square). One for the platform, one for 4 charts, one for news/research. I tend to pick 2 - 4 stocks I'll play on one day, and am religious about putting stops at both ends and going to cash before the closing bell.
this is the stupidest thing I have ever seen you're going to tell me you can distinguish 700 different charts from on another? the guys who make money are guys who hold on for a few days/months and have 100k or more invested in a stock, you're not going to make s hit holding onto a stock/future/option for a few minutes, it's unrealistic, and these are the same people who go flat broke within a month
Haha do you just spend all your profits on monitors? I lose my mouse pointer and get confused when I'm working with three screens. Then again I'm not a trader so whatever works for you.
The guy is doing what he loves to do. Too many charts, which I think is not a good to trade. Trade simple, pick two - five financial vehicles and stick to them.
Bad decision. The morket value of useless monitors only falls, while the one of gold increases. So actually he would have been far better off buying gold instead.
I use two monitors and a simple laptop to place my orders. I use one indicator, I don't even use Level II or time & sales or any of that crap that hides the true story anyways. I trade with a vanilla exponential moving average on a 30 second chart and a red/green slope and today I shorted the one and only stock I always trade at 9:37 a.m. and covered at 10:03 a.m. for a $650 profit. When I had all the monitors and charts and stock scans all I did was lose money. Moral - keep it simple.
@blakesdad38 Well said. I do the same - I trade with a laptop - no indicators. I only trade the "spy". I trade it everyday. You get to a point where all the indicators and additional screens become distractions. After years of trading, I finally realized: Less is More!
@blakesdad38 U PRO! i never understood what is the point.. to have all this fucking Monitors.. the only good thing when somone see you Setup, Say just ----> WOW...
@blakesdad38 How much did you need in your account to make a $650.00 profit in a half hour? Just curious because I'm new to trading and I'm trying to get a good understanding of it. Thanks.
I'm not a trader, but this looks like the monitors department in Bestbuy. In my opinion this is too much, unless you have more people trading with you.
If I were a trader I would buy a Macbook pro with i7 and 2. 27in Cinema displays(if they can be connected at the same time to the MBP), a stand for the laptop, keyboard and mouse.
@ehunter2 ya, never said I was good....Just today I lost over 400 dollars...If you wanted to see just how big of a fortune I have lost ....my daily totals and trades are all posted on my blog address listed on the video. A man's gotta have his dreams you know and this one's mine
@traderbob11 95% of all traders lose. That is conservative. If 95% are losing you have to figure out
what are all these people doing that is the same...and why is that these smart people cant
see whats going wrong in the first place? The answer is that these people are all looking at one thing..and placing oscillators, moving averages, fibonacci lines, Gann squares..over the same thing ie. PRICE. Trade price in any form whatsoever and you will be merely another statistic
@ehunter2 I'm talking about commodity futures contracts, and if it weren't for margin calls, you could dollar cost average your way to a no lose situation.
@KungFuChess depends on how many stocks you are watching. If you have all your stocks on charts and visible at all times you do not miss a move (well should'nt) Pluss it greatly adds to the coolness factor! And admit it if you were doing as well as he is at trading you would have the same set up, don't lie......
@KungFuChess depends on the individual man, i would have that setup simply because i want to, not that it would help much. if you are making enough, why not build something like this over a little while and just enjoy the fact taht you have it..
@YiDog21 This computer was built by Falcon trading systems I run another backup computer with 4 screens. To do it yourself you just need to remove the video card and put in a new one that can run more screens. This I did myself on my backup with an ATI FireMV2400. The hardest part was finding out if my computer had a PCI express (where the video card is plugged in to) slot or not. Hope this helps in building your own NASA control center.
@YiDog21 You can from experience set up at least one computer with three monitors. You need a 750 Watt Power Supply, 4 gig of Ram, at least 2 ghz processor, DEF need a video card to install in your computer, I know one card that is PCI X E and has three ports coming out the back. As far as going past three monitors, I am not sure, I would GUESS maybe you need another computer and daisy chain them together with USB???
@edwardwills Matrox manufacture videocars up to the capacity of 8 monitors. And there is with many cards the possibility to use multiple cards at once, for instance nvidia sli. Btw, the 8-port card costs about $ 1800.
@edwardwills That actually seems pretty cheap, the ones I've seen usually were about $ 500. Anyway atm I'm only using two 24" monitors, and that's working just fine right now. Thanks though!
Nice setup..but information overload. I would get analysis paralysis!

Commodity futures are the most highly leveraged contract out there..any attempt to
play them with anywhere close to a margin call being possible is doomed.
You should never risk more than 2% of your account on any one trade. A 100,000
account will be down 10% on 5 bad trades and 5 bad trades in a row is extremely common..especially in volatile directionless market. Dollar cost
averaging does nothing to change this..thats why it so often just
throwing bad money after good.

Ill tell you why 95 % lose money, MARGIN CALLS!!!!!!
jjrglobal 10 months ago
@jjrglobal No one...ever ever should ever have a margin call. Every trade should be
calculated precisely before entering. If you let a trade go bad to the point that
you receive a margin call you were never trading to begin with..you were gambling.
And all gamblers always lose in the end.

Uncivilization 11 months ago
@Uncivilization
Oscillators ALWAYS fail. They are all some version of the "moving average" concept.
And by nature this is a lagging indicator Furthermore..the real issue is much deeper.
The real problem is trading price itself. Price based charts especially smaller time
frames are nothing more than a record of pure noise...ie. pure randomness
ehunter2 11 months ago
@ehunter2 I totally agree. successful traders know the difference between making money vs. creating a hobby.
