There are makeup artists who look hot and not gay at the same time, such as gossmakeupartist. :\ I believe there are others too.

And I don't think makeup artist need to go to school to be one. It's different from a doctor license, where you have to study and really know a lot of *theory* stuff to practice it and the amount of knowledge is too large. Practice artists like makeup, cooking, painting, singers etc. don't need to go to school, at all. They only need passion and can self-study.

@MultiMoole That's true, but school can be handy, especially when you have proffessionals from the business working at your school. It's the same as doing your art at home, but they can correct you if something goes wrong or even give you advice.

Many fashion designers fall into the same category where they just fell into it without studying fashion design in college. @jasminebbyface I don't believe all makeup artists needs to be licensed :) Some of the top makeup artists in the world never went to makeup school. Most of them were natural artists. I was born an artist and most importantly, a woman who teaches others how a lipstick can bring out inner confidence. Makeup is art, so lets make art. :)
