I think all verson of the Holy Bible are good, at least the NIV,NAS,NLT,NKJV,the JB. certainly are.

They speak to us in words we can comprehend. The KJV is too hard.

For me it is.

Jesus is the King of Kings, the risen and only begotten Son of God, son of man.

That's the most important truth, He died for our sins on the cross,( some say tree).

Whichever, He died for our sins, and rose again in 3 days. Amen and Amen..

He is coming again soon.

The King James version is difficult at first. I started out going to Catholic churches and now i go to an Anglican one. But now that I am used the King James version it is my favorite one by far! All bibles have translation problems and stuff but that doesn't make them wrong, God cannot be totally comprehended by man and so his word is also difficult.

God bless u my friend, I truely believe that d NIV is not a "good" bible, u know that 1 word can change d WHOLE meaning of a sentence. Specially for those that take the Word of God "literally", it is a dangerous version. My opinion. i understand TIMs frustrations on perverted and purposely altered translations/versions ... maybe thats one of the whys Jesus made known how important is was for His return to the Kingdom so that the Holy Spirit could be sent and dwell in believers and reveal the Word of God

While at the book store, you might also explore Henry VIII's adultery and scandal (even murder) that lead to schism, and ultimately the starting point of the KJV. Labeling the KJV as the most perfect and only choice is such a wonderful way to commemorate the most commendable Henry VIII! :)

Why would anyone protest the Word this way? While doing your google searches, maybe you'll come across the history of the reformation and Henry's break from the Church founded by Christ. I think we Christians should return to the original Bible, before it was hacked apart and before scripture was changed to fit particular points of view. My rationing in this chain isn't about translation, it's about ignorantly referring to KJV as perfect. The antithesis of abiding in the Word was creating their own, naturally this would make their church appear legit.
