I saw him at this concert. He played just his songs. It was wet weather.

At the moment I heard it, it was not as good as I expect. And after I heard that he was dead, I heard peaces of this concert and that was not better.

He sometimes played for himself.

@cranie4 It's the only time I ever heard him say the f word though.. I bett he was kinda annoyed by the booing, but still tried to verbally devert it into something else in a cool way. Jimi's image is made so cleancut nowadays. Young people never hear about him hitting kathy with a phone or demolishing his hotelroom or the numerous times he had to go to the doctor for antibiotics to cure std's!.. He was human. He was talent. He was once on this planet. God i missed out so bad being born in 78!

I have read accounts and viewed pictures of Hendrix' performance at Fehmarn. Seeing this video of the festival with a stage that looks like a barricade set up on a street end in downtown Hell makes Jimi's last set seem like a personal triumph. Any other performer probably would have walked offstage from the crowd reaction alone.

That stage looks pretty shitty because - in according with event local promoter,mr. Robinson C. Stevenson - Fehmarn was just a little isle on the route to England and all the stuff they could gather together was mere wreckage from Jimi's boat... and uhm...Local tribes weren't so enthusiast for Jimi D. Day.

They were supposed to play the night before but they got there late and Jimi's road manager refused to allow Jimi on in a cold rain storm with high winds. The place was beseiged by German Hell's Angels looking for a fight. Machine gun fire was heard during the night and bikers were beating people with chains etc. The next day it started raining again just when Jimi was going on and the crowd was in a bad mood. The hostile scene made Billy lose it and Jimi was murdered by his manager weeks later.
