It is such a crime this was removed. This shows that Carlisle and Esme truly love each other. A real human love that we can relate to. And if they can love like this, then so can the others and so can Bella and Edward. This "humanizes" them and helps dispel the vicious monster myth. What was this, 43 seconds? You couldn't have added 43 seconds on to the film!? Come on. Cutting this was a mistake.
