Sorry kids, this is a product of the 80's... Lazer Tag debuted in 1986, this was the junk to have when I was in elementary school.. before nintendo you still had to go outside to do anything...
They also had a animated series to go with this, that's how it was done back in the day.. New toy? New Cartoon!!

They started out with the Starlyte pistol and then you had a vest and gay little hat you'd wear with a sensor on the top of it.. I think it was the adults secretly making fun of us kids..
