I'm 22 now. I went to a K-8 school in Seattle until 7th grade. Middle school kinda unofficially begins there midway through fourth grade. I stayed until the first week of 8th grade then I transferred to a traditional middle school where there were 600kids per grade instead of 60, and 6teachers/classrooms per day instead of 2. I'm 14. I would tell me to do everything I could to remind my best friend that I was still her best friend, and the weird girl in my classes wasn't stealing me. This was a legitimate worry that my best friend had in sixth grade. She thought I didn't want to be her friend anymore. I didn't find this out until New Year's 2012. I thought it was funny. 2.) Be exclusive with your friends( Hard to trust people)

I'm 17, and i totally agree on the middle school/high school part! you hear so much about how in high school there are all these cliques, but for me, that happened in middle school. (I was in the nerd gang) If i could tell 12 year old me anything, it would be "be yourself, be nerdy" because in the first year of middle school, i tried really hard to be popular but from second year i started just not caring, and everything became much easier :) my worst year was the first year of middle school.

I'm 18. In Canada there's no middle school, you have Kindergarten to grade 6 (elementary school), and then you have secondary 1 to 5 (high school, which would be equivalent to grades 7-11 I guess). But yeah, when I was the age of middle school, even though there's no middle school here, it was terrible. :/ I think I'd tell myself the same thing as you: Don't worry, this will come to pass, at some point it will all be over and then it won't matter anymore.
I'm on college now, I also used to be a camp counselor, working with mostly middle school kids. I'd have to say that while living in that age, you never know what it's like once your done living it. In Middle school, you're trapped with the people you're around, as you get older, you are bestowed the glorious power of "change". I had the same experience as Tessa did in Middle school. Bullied, had stuff stolen from my lockers, rumors spread that I was a satanist, just kuz I hung out with "Goths". High school was a LOT better. I had my older sister there and was adopted into her group of awesome friends.
13 (almost out of middle school, gonna turn 14 in a month) and middle school was actually pretty awesome but 7th grade sucked because I was diagnosed with low blood pressure and felt sick all the time so I missed a lot of school and my grades started going down because of it and my mom was trying to get me out of extended so I would be less stressed out but really that just added more stress and me saying a billion times "MY BRAIN IS FINE! 1) Don't talk to ANYONE who is in the "popular crowd" I'm not joking, even if you're in it. Leave it alone...

I'm 22 now. I went to a K-8 school in Seattle until 7th grade. Middle school kinda unofficially begins there midway through fourth grade. I stayed until the first week of 8th grade then I transferred to a traditional middle school where there were 600kids per grade instead of 60, and 6teachers/classrooms per day instead of 2. This was a legitimate worry that my best friend had in sixth grade. She thought I didn't want to be her friend anymore. I didn't find this out until New Year's 2012. I thought it was funny. 1.) Be a nerd (you won't be pulled into drama)
2.) Be exclusive with your friends( Hard to trust people)

I'm 18. In Canada there's no middle school, you have Kindergarten to grade 6 (elementary school), and then you have secondary 1 to 5 (high school, which would be equivalent to grades 7-11 I guess). But yeah, when I was the age of middle school, even though there's no middle school here, it was terrible. :/ I think I'd tell myself the same thing as you: Don't worry, this will come to pass, at some point it will all be over and then it won't matter anymore.

In Middle school, you're trapped with the people you're around, as you get older, you are bestowed the glorious power of "change". I'm in the 8th grade and middle school was not bad for me at all. I have a nice circle of close friends and since I'm usually nice to everybody, I have people that I just talk to outside my circle. My first couple of months in seventh grade, which was the beginning of middle school where I'm from, was pretty bad, though. If I could give myself any advice for the beginning of middle school, it would be to be confident and know that within a year or too, all the awkardness will pass.

I loved middle school! Our old school was 3-8 and our classes had 2 grades in them (5/6 class, 7/8 class) I was with my friend for the whole time, and I loved it!! The 3-8 was a good transition from elementary to middle, and it was really fun :DDD
