    John Echohawk.

The man is a modern legal legend.

He's one of the most famous living Native American civil-rights leaders.

Not just for his legal battles, but for his VICTORIES as well.

As well as working toward alternitive energy sources for NAs on the rez.

Even President Obama recently contacted him.

  • Blessings friends and relatives

  • You'd think someone with all this authority could do something about the corruption by the BIA! It's so dirty you have no idea. So many people are on the take from Gov. officals for generations to tribal counsels, all the while the people on the Rez are starving! I can't believe this country and no one seems to care.

  • Trust me, my friend, I know what you are talking about.

  • Only Native American or American.

    Indian in india, ok.

  • Beautiful piece of work. Thank you

  • must be hard to fight the paper people.....glad to see sombody trying in this manner............lost turtlemountain boy

  • so sad that this vid is even here!after what they went thru, has usa gov ever said sorry?just wondering as our gov said sorry to the maoris,Ilove the Indian way beautiful culture

  • tootsrocks,

No they haven't. They don't care.

The U.S. gov. won't even help them with the current theft and destruction of their ancestral land. Do a YouTube search on Schaghticoke Reservation, Kent CT and you'll find their channel.

In 1980, the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that the Black Hills were illegally taken but refused to give the Hills back to the Natives.

  • so, so very important to find this video and share with as many as possible.

    ONE.LOVE

  • Thank you, my friend, and you are so welcomed. All of you are.

  • Nice and a verry impressive video...we're the rights belong. Acient called history.

  • I wish Echohawk would come defend the rights of Native American children in California...It seems that Pawnee children are always targeted to be separated from their parents out here...

  • I wish Brody869 will come to my rez, and Ill show him his pussy. Cock sucker talking shit... any way injuns are the greatest people on the planet, so quit hating

  • Sorry for my vugar responce I too am first nations and I am very willing to help my brothers and sister' in the front lines when asked to do so.

  • Yeah! Real good video. By the way that's the first time I've heard Bush called a dork! Good job.

  • I love this video! I hope you continue to do more to inspire us to be involved in our communities! Thanks for the video! 5 stars!

  • and thank you for your comment.

  • Wonderful video...they should show this one in public schools--REAL AMERICAN HISTORY :-)

thanks for sharing!(and who did the music? its perfect for this vid!)

  • You know, how true. I suspect it is because public schools are funded by the government that they are bias in what they allow to be taught, in general. College, now that can be a whole different ball game. A place where open minds can be cultivated, instead of expelled or sent to the office. You meet so many incredible and awesome people in college; fellow students/professors...you name it. Great minds. Few teachers are nightmares. Most are great.

  • Great video!

  • Thank you

  • Estonko my brothers and sisters more and more lawyers, beat them at there own game Osceola.

  • Right on....I agree.

  • Absolutely....more lawyers, beat them at their own game!!

  • 100% in agreement!

  • Its good that Baca has been able to achieve his personal goals and he probbaly uses his position for the good of his people. I think the word 'war-rior' when it is used in a traditional sense, depicts when a person's skill & bravery advances to a higher level. But for me, it is good to see these men on this path.

  • hmmmm and you don't think these men have "advanced to a higher level using skill and bravery"? just a thought

  • @tipback-

"For us, warriors are not what you think of as warriors. The warrior is not someone who fights, because no one has the right to take another's life. The warrior, for us, is one who sacrifices himself for the good of others. His task is to take care of the elderly, the defenseless, those who can not provide for themselves, and above all, the children, the future of humanity." -- Sitting Bull

  • You´re right. Today´s warriors are fighting with words and arguments. Cruelty that happens in wars creates new agression and hate. But the spoken truth often goes direct to the heart and often changes the opinions of people.

  • man, there are loads of definitions for a warrior

  • LMAO!! Here's just one definition of a warrior:

"a person who shows or has shown great vigor, courage, or aggressiveness, as in politics or athletics." (I could give you another similar to it from another dictionary too.)

These men are most certainly great leaders, but also great non-violent warriors, which make them even better warriors & leaders.

  • PS, rarely have I ever eaten at fast food joints (I think the food is gross and unhealthy), and most of the people I know, along with myself, are in very good shape.

  • Warner4455:

Why not try and lift your fellow man?

Rather than send discouraging energy their way? Serving in the Canadian Forces is admirable yes- though it is true that there are many other admirable traits in a man as well. Surely you have a kind word or two to share for another? Being skilled at 'killing' another human being is not the only kind of warrior. Let us bring up our fellow man in any way we can. There are too many ways to tear him down already. Blessings~

  • hi im of new zealand and would like to say what you said is right be strong and surport each other and never 4 get peace

  • ....and whoever said "politics" and fighting for simple human rights wasn't war? Right?

    Very well said Nicolejette!!!

  • "True warriors no longer exist.."My heart aches for you that you think that these brave, courageous men are not warriors. Were our ancestors any less the warrior when they chose to sit and talk out things with their enemies and solve problems around the council fires? Yes,they had to kill to survive back then, but today that is not practicle. They chose/choose to war with words and non-violence for the better of ALL the PEOPLE.(mcd's YUCK LOL--FRYBREAD! :-) )Be well.

  • Right on, my friend, well said.

  • FUCK YOU, YOU FUCKING PUSSY.

  • Wow! You're level of intelligence is amazing!!Quite the impressive response!!

  • @sp0ttedp0ny330 -

It takes a strong man, or woman, to resist the base reaction to violence. It takes strength to restrain ones visceral impulses and trust in the ability to reason and build a consensus. To trust cooperation over coercion. It takes wisdom and discernment to be able to craft a peaceful solution to a novel problematic situation. Jerks rely on their knee-jerk reactions to strike out at others.

  • @7863547- well said :)

  • I love this..you are one great beautiful person. Shine on as you are so needed. L&L

  • You are one great beautiful person also. Peace always to you and yours.
