To all the people who say it shouldn't be allowed: who would you live there life? would you be happy being stuck in a bed, unable to move and in some cases speak in absolute agony. I don't think you would. I don't think any rational person would.
keeping these people alive when they are in so much pain is wrong! if they wish to die then we should grant them that. a merciful god wouldn't stand by while these people suffer. we are in charge of our own bodies and what we do with them not god
Yes it should be allowed, but how do you write such a law? The guy agiainst it makes some valid point. Even if his Africa example is a joke. He's using people who are fighting to live to make a case against people who have had enough.
Just because some people want to fight until the end doesn't mean that everyone else should be forced to. Please spare me from CNK's false compassion.
Al you crack pot jacfk ass jarhead fundmmentalist of Islam or Chriustianity try and find a logical argumetn why someone shoulbe forced to live and continue to suffer--Jack asses who are so consumed with you fantasy fiuction symbolic books and can't comprehend or think anythign beyond them! Dumb asses!
Ande please those of you who are against it, please try and find something other GODs dicitate as a reason why this person shoul be forced to live, his money eaten up and sontinuing to suffer. Becuase those of you who think we don't choose to be born, we might not choose to get concieved but many baby sure has do kick and punch their mommy's womb to tell her get me out of here--even if she wanted to keep the baby in her womb. PLus Abortion is not murder either-it''s a problem solver
Yes the answer is yes, it shodlbe allowed, apart from the financial burdens that comes with keeping a person who can't fully recover alive for the patient and his loved one, just the mere fact that he is suffering and will continute to suffer is not something fair to the patient. For those of you who belive in Life after death--Heaven sake don't you think the journey to the other side shodul eb asmooth one instead of long, hard, horrible one, after so many years! come on!

At least Al-Qaeda's victims tend to die instantly, and therefore painlessly.
Terrorists have more compassion that paternalistic tyrants like Peter Saunders!

Yup. the world just won't leave people alone to decide thier own fate. We can execute people, but we can let people die if they choose to. Its wrong.

I am very proud of my State of Washington, and I voted for this Death with Dignity!
We wouldn't allow an animal to suffer, but we would force humans to suffer; what is wrong with this thinking?
