  • This is a Make up reason

Maybe you have a wrong definition of "worship"

For the real definition, you can be a worshiper of your own bed, whenever you stay home sleeping instead of going to Church

For the real definition you can be a worshiper of yourself whenever you "think" you are "smarter" than the Church that gave you the Bible and established All Christian Doctrine in 2000 years

The "ego" of today´s generation is the problem, and not what we christians have believe for 2000yrs

  • Official Catholic statement is "Catholics do not worship Mary but venerate her." "Venerate" is a synonym for "worship." Case closed, their own words condemn them.

  • Comment removed

  • @Jason10King young people worship rock stars musicians. do you believe that statement? I do. if we are christians we must obbery exodus 20:4to6

  • Catholics do not worship St. Mary. Catholic doctrine says clearly that only God is worthy of worship and the Pope did not worship St. Mary

  • he Roman Catholic Church teaches unbiblical doctorines like the Age of Accountability and celebrates Pagan holidays Like Christmas and Easter Also pray to Saints and Mary which is completely unbiblical.

  • @GuamKomudo Dont worry let them fight, i don't think Mary as a god you don't think Mary as a god after that your fine! They will never learn these stereotypes are fake. Actions speak louder then words, but we must speak out words louder!

  • If you are praying to Mary and to the Saints you are decieved and your prayers are not going to be answered by God Almighty. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father but by him. They do not hear your prayers, but only Christ because he is the way to the father. Do not be decieved. Christ is the word that became flesh. ( John 1:1 ) Show me in God's word (The Bible) where the Lord says to pray to his earthly mother. Trust in the words of The Bible. It is Truth.

  • @IlovemyLordandSavior Tell me,great interpreter of the bible. Who was the way, the truth and the life?

  • Catholics don't worship Marry, I am Roman catholic, we do NOT worship Marry, I think everyone is misunderstanding what he means, but I have never heard ANYTHING from my church or my Priest except the opposite that we worship marry. Read the prayer "Hail marry" it's a prayer we say to marry. The Prayer is asking marry to pray for us, we are not praying to her as a God. Just as you would ask your friend to pray for you in your time of need, we do that with Marry and the Saints. Not worship them

  • A doctrine of the Catholic Church is that of "preventive redemption". If Mary like every mortal needed redemption but at the same time wasn't subject to the original sin this implies that God decided that she should never sin. That took away her freedom to chose to sin or not. If so, she is the first and last mortal who was deprived of freedom of choice. If indeed she did have freedom of choice (thus in need of redemption) but still not subject to sin that implies she was not human...

  • Why should we not hono the Mother of our Great Lord and Savior?Let's be kind, and true to scripture.

  • God bless the Holy Father Benedict!

  • There is a difference between honor and worship. Mary says in the gospels that all generation would call her blessed. Protestants like to beat this this drum with great ignorance. Before you disagree with the Catholic church, read the Catechism and get it right. This is appalling ignorance on your part. There are over 30,000 independent Protestant denominations who disagree with each other? What's up with that. bro?

  • It's really appalling to listen to the ignorance of people who don't know anything about Catholic doctrine, who just believe what they have heard or been taught by Protestants. It's time to wake up! The Day is at hand! The Lord is nearer now thatn ever before. If you go back to the history of the early church you will see that it did the same thing the Catholic church does. Protestant s make a point to evade the teaching of the ChurchFathers. They bypass all those centuries.

  • Thus Latria (λατρεία) means Adoration and Supreme Worship. Have you ever asked a friend to pray for you? If so, you have inadvertently prayed to them as well, for Prayer (pray) means in the Wide Sense to Humbly Ask, or Petition. In Strict Sense, it means to give Worship. Worship (weorthscipe) in Old English means all three, though it depends on what is being described. You also need to understand that Worship is a State of Mind.

    Oremus Pro Invicem.

  • It was probably St. Augustine’s influence which made it a familiar term in Latin theology. The sacrifice of the Mass is the principal act of latria, hence it is called in patristic literature λατρεία τῆς οἰκονομίας (Petavius. “De lncarnat.” xv. 2)

  • Latria (λατρεία) to which, in itself simply means “service,” whether rendered to God or man; but the usage of the Church has made it a technical term for that supreme worship which can lawfully be offered to God alone. The word is so used by the Greek Fathers and the Seventh General Council; and St. Augustine (“Contr. Faust.” xx. 21) adopts it on the ground that no one Latin Word will do instead.

  • Now as I have stated, you need to Broaden Your Vocab. Worship comes from the Old English weorthscipe, which means the condition of being worthy of honor, respect, or dignity. To worship in the older, larger sense is to ascribe honor, worth, or excellence to someone, whether a sage, a magistrate, or God.

Even in Latin and Greek, it is broken up. i.e, Cultus Dulilæ, Cultus Hyperduliæ, & Cultus Latriæ. The First two are a special worship, in English it would be Reverence and Honor shown.

  • You really need to broaden your Vocabulary there. Protestants are those who Protested against the Mother Church (Roman Catholic Church). A direct Protest would be considered a Denominations e.g., Anglicanism, Lutheranism, &c., Those who protested against a Denomination are called Sub-Denominations e.g., Methodist came from Anglicanism, &c., Non-denomination are those who claim no association with any denomination, though hold fast their tradition. They are still considered Protestants.

  • RC's do not pray to Mary as a devine being, she is Blessed, but not devine in and of herself - I could say this in 100 different languages, but as your ears are closed they'd all be wasted! Like the religious leaders in Christ's day, you hear the words, but deny the Truth!

  • haha.. its so funny how u people take such great pains to prove the catholic church is all wrong. for the billionth time catholics dont worship mary. they ask for her intercession.

  • @88masp Exactly. Thanks for being acccurate. You are obviously not among the ignorant. God bless you.

  • @podgorneyjohn God bless you too! it's rather peeving to see how some people keep attacking the church. i guess thats the sort of mentality they've been brought up with. wish they'd busy themselves trying to bring non-believers of Lord Jesus Christ to the church instead of wasting their time attacking catholics.

  • by getting to know her parents better, you will ultimately learn more about her. The same is true for Mary. Jesus LOVED His mother, just as we should do. He wants us to know her! By giving her honor & asking for her intercession, it brings Him great joy, and ultimately we learn more about Him. There was obviously something special about Mary if God chose to use her in the way He did. Mary was human yet called blessed by God, therefore, we need to look to her as an example of loving God.

  • gave a complete yes to God, just as we should do. We should imitate Mary because she was called blessed by God, and don't we want the same thing? Pope JPII gave Himself to Mary in the sense that He would imitate her and ask her to pray for Him. You must understand what the Pope & Fr. Scheier mean in a Catholic context. We do NOT worship Mary, we give her honor.

Imagine your girlfriend wants you to meet her parents. You are not going to say no! You would go, out of love for her & knowing that

  • @JMJ51PFU Good explanation!

  • just as Catholics honor her, because we imitate Christ. Therefore, if Mary's will is completely in line with her Son's, and Jesus honored His mother, than there would be no reason for Him to say no to her. Think about the wedding at Cana. Mary told Jesus they were out of wine, and right away, He granted what she asked of Him.

Yes, JPII gave himself to Mary. Mary gave a total yes to God when asked to bear His Son, "I am the handmaid of the Lord, let it be done to me according to Thy will." She

  • @JMJ51PFU Great answer!

  • to say no to Mary. The Catholic belief is that Mary is sinless (which she was, it makes absolutely NO sense that Christ could dwell in the same body as sin). Therefore, if Mary is sinless then it follows that she has no desire for anything evil. Her will is COMPLETELY in line with that of God's. Therefore, as any child should respect their parent, Jesus loved His mother and therefore respected her. "Honor thy father & mother." Jesus obviously followed His own commandments. He honors His mother

  • "Salvation of souls through Mary immaculate." Pope John Paul II did not mean that Mary was our Savior here. Instead, Jesus was born THROUGH Mary, God used Mary. God called Mary blessed.. "Blessed are you among women!" God used Mary to bring about our salvation.. Jesus Christ. That is what the Pope meant here. "Salvation of souls, THROUGH - Jesus was born through a women, whom God used.. and that woman was Mary immaculate.

You also discuss the Fr. Scheier quote about it being impossible for God

  • Just because a pope says something that is hericy, dosent mean thats what the Catholic Church has to believe. Pope John Paul ll was a heretic, so is Benedict 16, they are both antipopes!!

  • catholic church is the spawn of satan

  • @1978dagreat Yeah, because Satan put the New Testament books together. Right???

  • Comment removed

  • @YeshuaisYahweh1 No, satan had absolutely nothing to do with putting the NT together neither did the cath church because satan runs the cath church. All doctrine of cat church is false doc of devils. ONLY doc of Trinity is truth...erthing else lies. Bible is against all other doctrines of catholic church.PROVEN. God was in absolute control of how NT was put to gether...Its safe*-*

  • A book by Scott Hahn Rome Sweet Home would speak to you. It appears with all of your video entries you have an interest in the faith, why don't you find out why we believe what we believe first...like really. If you have even attended a service or two you might feel bad later about posting these videos...I don't know just a thought.

  • Sorry pal. I AM Catholic and you have been reading untrue documentation and misunderstanding other info. I go to Mass all the time and I have never attended a service in the various states I have visited where Mary is "worshiped". Mary is given high [honor], but she is not a god or even close!! I understand your reservations especially with the knowledge you have been given, but I live it and it's not true. God Bless.

  • @joeyamg Amen, my brother!

  • You doing right. Now go and find out more.

EXCERPT: TrumpetCallofGodOnline . com letter: To the Church, Who Is in the Midst Of and Sits Upon the Seven Hills

    Stop worshipping the dead!...

Worship Me by Him, who alone, among men, is holy,

Being altogether as His Father, the very same as God.

Best Regards and may YAHUWAH Bless You. Regards.

  • Your comments show a complete and total failure to comprehend basic catholic dogma or teachings. It seems you're so busy trying to "expose" Catholic teachings, that you fail to state them correctly.

  • And which GOSPEL are you referring to as the TRUE gospel? Since King James liked to edit the Gospel to what he could find in both Greek and Hebrew only, I would like you to point out to me what source you are using for your scriptural quotes. Translations are a dime a dozen, but the RCC Bible I am not familiar with that one.

  • I have got together 45 QUESTIONS that shows the ABSURDITY of ROME & its false teachings >> if anyone has the guts ~~ respond & lets see your answers

It might be worth a giggle

  • How to make a Plastercast for religious purposes.

First get some modelling plaster, add water, stir, & mould it into a human figure

Subject to intense heat and allow to harden

Now paint it with modelling paint, &allow to dry

Move it to a grotto or church, and mount it on a pedestal, get it blessed by a priest

Garnish it with flowers, & light candles to it

Now encourage people to come and pray to it, & petition it

Now you have another mediator to help you

Surely this is not Idolatry, Or is it?

  • @glizag I don't worship any idols. I have no clue who demonstrated this is the way you pray to the Mother of God, but they were doing it as idolatry, which I am not a practioner of. I know some Holy Rollers who seem to think that way, but like I said, it is Jesus Christ and God the Father, Holy Spirit that I pray and worship and adore. Mother Mary is the 1st Christian in the Bible. She is also noted for her last words in the Gospel - DO WHATEVER HE TELLS YOU at the wedding at Cana.

  • what do all christians believe? 10 comandments. whats the first? guess what... catholics believe that one too.

  • @sausyyy Try Exodus 20:3-4 ~~ THE RCC dropped it and broke number 10 into two commandments.. VERY DECEPTIVE

  • Who do Catholics worship. I believe that they worship Isis or some other goddess.

  • @1954phyllis I AGREE

  • Haha. Sorry but the truth shines true your ignorance. Catholics love and honour Mary as our mother and we ask her to pray for us.

  • Is an expression of honor, such as honor your father and your mother,a false practice? Why God commanded us to pray for one another as to honor one another? Nobody prays to the devil,as such the motive of the heart of a Catholic who prays sincerely to God. Are Catholics really worshiping Mother Mary or the devil insinuates other Christians to think evil of what is meant to glorify God?

  • good job on the video my friend! (christianstudents)

  • Somreone left out somebody here. I think there was someone called Jesus who was in there but the Catholics i guess forgot him or left him out ! Tomorrow morning I'm going to start worshipping Virgin Mary ! Now where is her book to see and read ? Oh My Lord , You say she does not have any book talking about her ! Oh My Lord here come that thought about this fellow name Jesus who has all kinds of Book wrote about him ?

Hey I'm going back to Jesus and you keep Virgin Mary for yourself !

  • Read Hail Holy Queen by Dr. Scott Hahn. He will answer all your questions about Mary and Catholics.

  • @Maryliziz Heaven knows of no queen except the King of Kings & Lord of Lords~~ the heavenly King is DIVINE >> Mary is very far from Divine >> so its just another fantasy teaching by the Vatican ( Divining Serpent)

  • @glizag So you obviously didn't follow my suggestion and read the book - which explains that Mary is not Divine. And as far as your anti-Catholic sentiment, you obviously haven't read the Catholic Catechism. You know I really didn't expect you to. But I will say that Bashing the woman who gave birth to Jesus is not going to help you. She was "Full of Grace" and not a whore. She was humble enough to allow God to enter her. That's something to be honored. Would you have done what she did?

  • @Maryliziz Mary was Blessed AMONG women >Not ABOVE women >> if you want to make her a godess then its not BIBLICAL >The Bible declares that Jesus in his pre incarnate FORM was without mother >> that is is Deity.

He had a FATHER which was DEITY >> so he had a human mother > and a DIVINE FATHER >> Mary was not His Divine Mother >> when she died the RELATIONSHIP ended >> Jesus is now King of Kings >> mary is just a Believer & not Queen of Heaven >> AS YOU FANTASY DOGMAS SAY >JESUS SAVES NOT MARY

  • @glizag I DID NOT SAY SHE WAS A DEITY! YOU ARE SO HELL BENT ON BASHING CATHOLICISM YOU HAVE NO DESIRE TO LEARN ABOUT IT! Your perception of it is based on Heresies and lies told to you. I KNOW THE TRUTH. I am learning more and more every day about my Faith. Catholicism worships Christ Jesus and God the Father. You are the one living in a fantasy. READ THE BOOK! Empty yourself of all that you claim to know, and read it- HAIL HOLY QUEEN BY SCOTT HAHN and ROME SWEET HOME!

  • @Maryliziz I sent you a reply

  • @Maryliziz The Catechism is a JOKE >> I believe Scripture over such RUBBISH >> I dont need Mary >> Mary Saved no one >> Jesus can Save all who come to him >> WITHOUT ~~ CHURCH ~~ MASS ~~ ROSARY ~~ POPE ~~ or any of the other garbage ~~ that the Vatican (Divining Serpent) ~~ can spew out

MARY IS USELESS IN SALVATION ~ because Christ ALONE is the Saviour ~~ the Pope is just a clown prancing around in a dress ~ hes as useless as a 2 watt light bulb > Hes good at waving at crowds though THATS ALL

  • @Maryliziz She was highly favoured ~ not full of grace ~ the RCC bible is the only version that translates the angel greeting Mary with " Hail full of Grace " all others translate the angels greeting properly " Hail thou art highly favoured " this is a very different rendering altogether.

Also ~ RCC have turned the angels greeting into a prayer ~ instead of leaving it as a simple greeting.

Who needs the Catechism > I prefer to believe the Inspired Scriptures over RCC gibberish ~ I rest my case

  • Maybe I'm late on the discussion, but The Father, Son and Holy Spirit, do not say no to Mary because she says yes to everything they say therefore, there is nothing contradictory in her agenda as it is the same as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, which is the salvation of mankind. Does She save mankind? Think of Mary as someone who pushed you away from a moving bus. Do I worship that person for saving me? No, but they did save me, and I shall be eternally grateful for it.

  • @Fraym13 Absolute Rubbish ~~ when you realise that Jesus alone is the saviour of the world

  • Personally< when I kneel before the virgin Mary, it is because she holds the baby Jesus. Do you not want to kneel? stop worrying whether or not is is a full stop or a comma! Love God and all things in God. (the pope was obeying Jesus for the disciple to take Maryas his mother. So we as Disciples of Christ love Mary as our mother. As I love my own mother. If i need help do I not ask my mother! Not worship, but love and respect. That is my humble opinion as a Catholic. Hope it helps. xxx

  • People. Fellow Protestants, Catholics....We all believe that Jesus is the only way to salvation, don't we? We are family! We are the Church! Why are you bickering? Didn't Jesus say that whoever is not against Him is for Him? We are one in Jesus Christ.

  • Mary is merely a creature yet she is Queen of Heaven, Mother of the Church, and Spouse of the Holy Spirit, thus she is given special honor. But we Catholics do not worship Mary and anyone who claims this is simply displaying ignorance on the issue.God speaks about Mary in the very first book of the Bible (Genesis 3:15) and promised to put enmity between her seed and the devil's seed. Those who constantly misrepresent the Church's teachings on Mary are being used by the devil---who hates Mary.

  • @vivacristo1000

Well said...the problem is we have to keep repeating these things time and time again because there's always a new fundie born every day that gets taught all things about the Catholic Church and believes them.

  • JPII says "it is possible the understand the AUTHENTIC meaning...." and by the way, the AUTHENTIC meaning is not given in your video. That might have clarified things. Worship can certainly have the connotation of veneration. But nothing shown here carries the meaning that you hope to attribute, i.e. acknowledging Mary as a divinity somehow equal to God. And, salvation of souls IS possible through the INTERCESSION of Mary. We trust her efficacy as Christ's mother, with Him in Heaven, to help us

  • Comment removed

  • Son you sure are rattling a chain at the Pope's Out House, but keep it up for you might turn one lost soul to turn back and accept Jesus and not Mary for Mary will not be there when Jesus Judges you !

    Get-ER-On-Boy

  • God bless you for spreading this truth. I am very scared for my catholic brothers and sisters. Stop worshiping statues and using trinkets and the like which are a complete diversion from true salvation.

  • if i'm a catholic the you're a protestant. you go to protestant church and I to catholic church but they're are both Christian churches. 1500 years of Christianity existed before your church was formed.

  • @chivitajm The True Church existed in God's foreknowledge before the World even began. What is the true church? It's not Roman Catholism.

    . No Charge

  • @chivitajm You need to do some reading up here. There has always been the Baptisers Religion [John the Baptist Followers ] before the Catholic church was formed around 600 A.D. . Baptisers was here when Jesus was on the Cross !

The Catholic Church burned at the stake around 50,000,000 men women and children. The Children first to get the adults to break first & not have to kill them. Kiss the Popes Cross or be burn at the stake ! Now some say it was over 100,000,000 but 50 mil. is for sure !

  • @turtle4aire The notion that 50 million Individuals were burned at the stake is quite fanciful. During the High Middle Ages the population of Europe never exceeded 20-30 million. It is quite impossible to murder the inhabitants of the entire European continent twice over while simultaneously creating world colonial empires, much less maintain the tax base necessary for such an enormous undertaking.

The actual figures where nowhere near these tremendously inflated figures.

  • @turtle4aire

    I'm a Catholic and I LOVE it!

  • @pbaylis1 you shouldn't' u should be shameful.

  • We ask the Blessed Mary the Mother of God and the Saints to PRAY with us and to PRAY for us while we cannot.. They can pray non stop while we cannot.

We do not worship Mary... If you say we do because we kneel down before her statue then would that not mean when you kneel before a bible to pray that you would be worshiping the bible? what about kneeling infront of royality? would this class as worshiping?

The statue is to remind us of what Mary looked like, just like a pic of a loved one.

  • In Polish tradition (and the last pope was Polish) dedication to Mary was important the reason the Pope had given Mary credit to his life, was 'cause of her intercession to God for the safety of his life...

  • ROFL!

The words of Pope John Paul DO NOT say " Marian Worship" It says "Marian Devotion"!

His writing "DEVOTION TO MARY IS BASED ON JESUS’ WILL" is where this is taken from and must be read in context, and it is based on scripture.

Protestants who are anti-Catholic have a problem with primary source research!

  • @baldonebear

Exactly, these folks just don't want to hear, don't care, are happy being wrong about the Catholic Church, are happy to spread errors. Leave em to it and good luck to em.

  • For all of you who dont know

Catholics dont worship Mary, but we recognize her as the holiest woman. Yet, she isn't God and therefore is not worshipped by us.

  • @JustinTuckisabeast Indeed. Furthermore, it appears to me that Catholics acknowledge that Mary's holiness only exists due to God Himself. Would this be a fair statement?

  • @JustinTuckisabeast

Exactly, what is so hard to get about this? Catholics know that Mary is not God. Pope John Paul knew, I know, you know, everybody knows that God is God and Mary is not God.

  • instead of attempting to find fault - and "prove us wrong".. Why not attempt to understand why Catholics honor Mary. We DO NOT worship her, but have profound respect for her and what she had to go through. I found Jesus through Mary.. If it wasnt for Mary, I would'nt have never known God and Jesus were real. So, for me, I have a deep love for what Mary did for me, but Jesus is King/Savor/God/everlasting life..

  • the catholic church is a mix of church and state, christian and pagan,

god in the book of revelations condemns this system, and he is calling his people out of this system, the answer is yes there are Gods people in this system, but the system has fallen and it is seen as a WHORE, one that has left he husband, and is in union with the political states(countries) of the world making them drunk with her wine teachings, and is doing this with concordats to Vatican city, garments of church and state,

  • @hoffabrando

    What a cartload of manure.

  • Lord Jesus Christ, You suffered and died on the cross for us, not Mary, nor anybody else. You alone are Holy. You alone are worthy of praise. You alone took away the sins of the world 2000 years ago and said "It is finished". All praise and glory to You, the Almighty, the I Am, the Creator, the only sinless One, our Advocate, our Redeemer, our Intercessor, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. The One and Only God. I will bow down to nobody else.

  • Christianstudents: It shows how how ignorant you are. Just like James White. Before you try to be an apologist do some research.

  • agreed!!!, i have spoken to many catholics and they all tell me, that they dont worship the statues they bow down to, they venerate them. I venerate (revere, respect) my parents but i DO NOT BOW DOWN TO THEM, that is what GOD has said many times throughout the BIBLE..'do not bow down"..even angels were telling people to get up and do not bow down to them..only to GOD, and yet God also said..do not make images, nor idols even of heaven.

  • And if you can quote me one Catholic dogma which allows worship of Mary, or contradicts the fact that God Alone is to be worshiped - I will leave the Catholic Church and join whatever sect you currently belong to.

  • Check out different countries who actually walk on their knees in the worship of Mary, you'd be surprised

  • Walking on your knees is an act of penance, not worship. However, even IF a Catholic were to kneel before a statue of Mary that would not mean that they are worshiping her. The Bible is full of examples of people who fell prostrate at the feet of others in reverence, though they certainly did not worship them.

Give me one Catholic Doctrine/Dogma which tells Catholics to Worship ANYONE other than the Blessed Trinity if you dissagree!

  • You are not a Catholic because you are a heretic. The Catholic Church does not "worship" mary as a god. That would be to contradict the Catholic Dogma that there is one God, the Blesssed Trinity and to the Father, Son & Holy Ghost ALONE belongs all worship.

You, like most heretics, use the straw-man argument yet again. If you dont have the intellectual capacity to actually try and refute the teachings honestly, then you shouldnt even comment on them.

  • But they do see her differently than what the bible says of her. Like having "no sin" or always remaining a virgin after jesus was born, even to say she rose body, and soul to heaven.(That's a huge stretch!!!)

  • No, Catholics DO NOT see Mary differently than how she is portrayed in the Scriptures. Catholicism is the ONLY Biblical Faith. The Bible clearly condemns Sola Scriptura, so we know more about Mary from the Apostolic Traditions.

That said, you will not find one verse which refutes the Catholic view of Mary in the Scriptures.

  • @14greg14 the real reason is that "it is a blind perspective of the biblical ary. The biblical Mary is much different than the catholic Mary

  • The word worship is being use in the old english which has more then one meaning: that of the worship of deity. The word worship in old english was use to honor people like kings queens judges to the veneration of God.... its only in modern english in america that it has change only to mean the worship of deity alone. I think you most read that popes satements in full context and you'll see that he worships God alone...

  • @justcoolforyou Come on Son , I finished Bullsh**er School when I was 15 and I'm 60 now. I've had a lot of Bullsh**er experience thrown at me by the years ! Your one of them !

  • in the Quran "holy book of muslims" it said that christians worship three gods, by worshiping jesus and mary with god, jesus in islam is only a prophet

  • Mary was and is a great woman, she was chosen by the Lord to carry the His child Jesus but the Catholic church have exalted Mary to the point. Where Catholics tell me they worship her & put her in front of Jesus.

This is not their fault but the fault of the Catholic church for never teaching Scripture but instead beats the same old tired drum each Sunday.

I was a Catholic for 28yr living in one of the worlds most Catholic countries, Ireland. I am now 4yrs a Christian after being born again.

  • well said, but you could into a catholic church, with a vid cam, go up to the blessed mother and say how you feel. u could. then walk over to jesus and tell him about his mother. you could. and then tell us hear on utube about. well mary, and you can put it hear on utube. tell about the pope, how wrong he is. tell about -mary- how much of a nothing she is. you could, but make sure you do it in a catholic church. look just walk up to her and say what you feel. BUT YOU WONT. I BET YOU WONT.

  • Brother, the churches are not god, nor can you get saved by the church, the church is a denomination of man and looks after itself. Jesus on the other hand is the king of kings and he alone we should be on our knees talking to, and he will guide you into all truth!!! leave the church and come to jesus

  • @1onetheone AMEN!

  • Jesus through Mary, is because our salvation came from God through Mary. God used Mary to bring forth Jesus. Just as we use Mary to learn more about Christ and grow closer to Him. The fruit of Mary's womb is our source of salvation. It's not 'to Jesus through Mary' b/c we have to have a mediator! it's b/c God revealed Christ to us THROUGH Mary. God bless.

  • @JMJ51PFU There lies your mistake my friend. I quote " Just as we use Mary to learn more about Christ.." You should be using the holy scripture instead, then manmade doctrines would not be made up. That includes non-catholic doctrines also. Anyone or any "church" can be guilty of that.

  • Comment removed

  • Exactly, we should be using Holy Scripture to learn about Christ. Within Scripture, Christ tells us in John 19:26-7 Dear woman, here is your son.... here is your mother. Christ teaches us IN scripture to take Mary as our mother. A mother is the one who guides and leads us along the right path, therefore, Mary will help guide us and lead us more fully to Christ. Also, what do you mean by man-made doctrines? And a side note. You disagree with the Catholic Church, but put all your faith in

  • @JMJ51PFU Sorry, scripture doesn't tells us that Mary is our mother. John 19:26 Jesus says to "JOHN" here is your mother. Jesus was giving Mary over to John to take care of since her husband Joseph was gone and Jesus was dieing. Mary would be alone. Sorry God is the one whom leads us into rightousness, stop crediting what Jesus does to Mary. The Holy Spirit guides us also. There is no scriptural proof that anyone hears us from heaven except God. Show me where it says Mary hears us? Peace!

  • the Bible. Where did the Bible come from? The church existed for 300 years without it.. in 398 Bishops from all over the world came together in Carthage and determined which books were the word of God. Therefore, if you believe in the truth of scripture, you, in reality, believe in the authority of the Catholic Church. Catholicism gave us the Bible, which EVERY Christian bases all their teachings and beliefs off. If the Catholic Church can err regarding truth, then the Bible could most likely

  • @JMJ51PFU sorry again, God is the one who gave us His word through the Holy Spirit through spirit filled believers ( catholics). Not Roman Catholic Church. Sorry my beliefs are not based on the RCC. Its based on Gods word.

  • be a mistake. Everyone who accepts the New Testament has placed their faith in the Catholic Church.

  • @JMJ51PFU sorry, my faith is not in a church, there lies your mistake. My faith lies in Christ alone and HIS word. I do believe in the universal (catholic) church. I do not believe in the Roman Catholic Church.

  • You say that you believe in Christ alone and His word (which I agree with!), all I was trying to say is how do you KNOW that the Bible is God's word? True, when the Bible was compiled, it was done so by the spirit-filled believers who were part of the RCC! Anyone could write a book, say that they were filled w/the spirit and therefore divinely inspired, but how do we know if we can trust them? The RCC compiled and gave the Bible to the people, teaching that it was the Word of God. Therefore

  • if you believe in the Bible, you trust the Catholic Church's authority.

God is the only one who leads us to righteousness? Yes, but do you not believe that others can help take part in that? Friends can call us out, or pray for us. Luke 1:28, Gabriel says And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. Gabriel was a messenger for God, therefore this was God's message. Mary was clearly favored and called

  • So was Abraham, Moses, Daniel, Peter. All of these including Mary has sin, not one excluded

  • blessed by God. Don't we want the same thing? Don't you think that by following Mary's example we could learn to live better Christian lives? Not a hard answer. Also, something to ponder. Luke 1:48 For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed.

And does Mary or any Saints/deceased hear our prayers? Right in scripture. Revelation 5:8 .

  • "Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you!" Lk 1:28. is the angel Gabriel worshiping Mary here? Catholics DO NOT worship Mary, they give her a high place of honor, since she carried Jesus within her. Lets say youre engaged, and your fiance wanted you to meet her parents. Would you say no? that you didnt want to get to know them? that you didnt want to have anything to do with them? NO! by getting to know them, you would please her and also get to know her better!

    the reason Catholics say to

  • How to make a Plastercast for religious purposes.

First get some modelling plaster add water stir and mould it into a human figure

Subject it to intense heat and allow to harden

Now paint it with modelling paint & allow to dry

Move it to a grotto or church & mount it on a pedestal get it blessed by a priest

Garnish it with flowers & light candles to it

Now encourage people to come & pray to it & petition it

Now you have another mediator to help you

Surely this is not Idolatry ? OR IS IT ?

  • Man that guy in the video is really ugly. The only kind of makeup that would help him would be vanishing cream.

  • Not knowing Mary means not knowing Jesus. I often notice that those who deny the importance of Mary are biblically uneducated. Mary, TOTUS TUUS....AMEN

  • What a Moron....good riddance!

  • Pathetic.

  • O come on, you got things really wrong here. Catholics do not worship Mary at all, they just venerate her! They just make statues and images of her; they just pray to her; there are more pilgrimage sites for Mary than for Jesus by accident; they just call her queen of heaven and Mediatrix; they have a rosary; they bow down before her and burn incense in front of her statues, but they don't worship her, no no no - not at all!

What's wrong with you to not notice the distinction? ;-)

  • The word "venerate" means to "worship". Develop your vocabulary, they are pulling the wool over your eyes.

  • My previous post was marked by irony. I wanted to point out that the distinction is pathetic ... but thanks anyway.

  • Yes, a person when shown the truth, and still prefers to worship the Queen of Heaven, which is condemned in Jeremiah, has committed anathema. Perhaps you understand that word.

  • I love you Blessed Virgin Mary, my Mother. Hail, full of grace! How can anyone say they love Jesus and not love Mary? Do they not love the things that Jesus loved? Did He not love His Mother? Do they not love the things that God the Father was pleased to create to bear His Son? J So why do they not love you? Jesus, Holy Lord of All, have mercy on those who disregard the proper honor due your Mother Mary, the same honor that You gave Her. Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do.

  • To say it is impossible for the Holy Spirit to ignore a reguest of Mary is not to emphasise her superiority as ye non Catholics love to focus on. There is no power struggle here. Why are ye obsessed with power. The Blessed Virgins will and Gods will are totally the same. She leads us to Jesus who is salvation. Ye are making a God of her not us catholics. We know her place. Mary always points to Jesus as Saviour. We do not adore her seperately as a god but as a sacred person who did Gods will.

  • HI Im a Catholic I go to church only on Easter and Christmas and can't listen to a sermon more than seven minutes. I love statues of Mary and the Saints which are all pagan based. I love how we degrade women in such subtle ways

  • But all the priests who have raped children go to heaven, right?

  • Worship the Lord and venerate his mother. Protestants are missing so much of the graces Christ is trying to give them, but cannot because of their misplaced hatred of Christ's Church - the Catholic Church.

Come home to the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church and you will finally come home to Jesus Christ.

  • Question: Why I am a Roman Catholic Priest?

Answer: The pay is great and the prospects are unlimited... and...

    And?

And my mother wanted to get me out of the house....

  • All Christian should focus on Jesus. 'Christ'= Jesus so...'Christian'= Jesus Followers. They are many so called christian misled and misread the scripture. Word of God is Spirit..So to understand...Be born Again in Spirit to Understand by accepting CHRISt AS SAviour....He Is the Only Way to God

"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.'.... FOCUS ON CHRIST THATS THE TRUTH! :d THANKS

  • Luke Chapter 1 Verse 26-38 will answer your fears and doubts

Read also what Elizabeth when filled with the Holy Spirit said about Mary. You are the most blessed of all women and blessed is the child you will bear. And Mary said "My heart praises the Lord......"

Catholics pray the Hail Mary (which forms the Rosary) from this text. Anyway I will pray for you. God bless you and we must love one another as this is Jesus' greatest commandment. ! Edwin

  • The difficulty here has to do with semantics: translating from old greek into english, a very limiting language in comparison.

Also age. Catholicism is very old (first defined as catholic in 110AD) so we have kept some of the old traditional use of language.

I propose that your definition of the word worship is limited due to these factors

The different meaning of the greek words, doulia and latreia should not be dismissed as they both are translated into english as worship

  • Hey "christian students", I have a question for you.

    What does "..." mean?

Does it by any chance mean that there are words missing in the quote?

Because if there are words missing from a quote, I'm not sure how you can possible say "if you read those words carefully".

For instance, I could say that you said in the beginning of this video "I am ... a protestant"

Indeed, that is what you said, correct?

  • satan has got behind catholicism. praying to mary is praying to the dead, if u read the bible u know wot it sais about that.

  • Luke Chapter 1 Verse 26-38 will answer your fears and doubts

  • Guys, this motherfucker believes 9/11 was an inside job...lol. Seriously.

Secondly, who the fuck starts a video with "My name's not Palo Alo....".

Seriously man, your embarassments at trying to explain Catholicism are lame. Convert to Atheism right now and save yourself the time.

  • For the record, the Pope did not say "Marian worship", but rather, "Marian devotion".

  • Check out the term "worship" in the dictionary sometime. A few of it's definitions and synonyms happen to be: "Ardent devotion; Adoration; Veneration; adoring reverence".

If you're "devoted to" anything other than God, it's an idol. Even Webster tells you that.

  • I'm sorry you can't understand the difference between worship and devotion. Then again, according to your profile, you believe 9/11 was an inside job. Sorry but, why bother trying to reason with you.

  • I'm not asking you to reason with me.

I'm suggesting that you discuss it with Mr.Webster... because apparently he's been mistaken.

  • so then, u really do believe 9/11 was an inside job?

  • What's that have to do with "Marian devotion" again?? Sorry, but my opinion isn't what matters.Proverbs 18:2 tells us that only fools care to argue opinion instead of looking at facts. What matters is the fact that many catholics and christians alike practice things that the bible condemns.

  • Ur belief that 9/11 was an "inside job" matters b/c if you believe such a ridiculous conspiracy theory that taints everything else you have to say. I just can't take u seriously. I mean, I didn't like W as a president either, but I don't give him that much credit.

  • Oh Palo Alo, u such a crazy Protestant!

  • Read the Catechism. Catholics not only do not worship Mary, to worship Mary is a serious sin. You don't understand what the Pope was saying because you don't have the background to understand Mary's role in salvation (which is to lead us to Christ, who is the source of all salvation). In scripture, when Christ gave Mary to John and and John to Mary he was sharing his mother with mankind (represented by John), and telling mankind to turn to his mother for help following Him. She is our help.

  • You are adding words to the scripture. This was a Jewish custom of the time and had nothing to do with all of mankind, or telling mankind to turn to his mother for help.

When Jesus left, He said He had to go so the Helper would come. This Helper is the Holy Spirit not Mary.

"I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him..." (John 14)

  • No, I'm not adding words to scripture, I'm telling you what Christ said from the cross, which is completely scriptural. I certainly am not denying that the Holy Spirit is our advocate, nor that Mary takes the place of the Holy Spirit. What I am saying is that Mary can pray for us just like any Christian can pray for us, the difference being that her prayers are more efficacious because she is more Holy than any other mere human that has ever been born.

  • Matt 12:

47Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. 48But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? 49And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!

Hmm so i guess we are suppose to worship the disciples the same way also, since He said "behold my mother and my brethren."

  • Your first mistake is to think that Catholics worship Mary. They venerate her, they do not worship her. Worship is reserved for God alone. Your second mistake is to think that the apostles that were loyal to Christ don't deserve special respect. They were, after all, hand chosen by Jesus Christ. They should merit at least as much respect as your pastor does. Or don't you respect your pastor, either?
